[Open] Who's in a mood to give a lecture?
Who: Anyone is welcome to tell Senku he is an absolute idiot. Sometimes he needs to hear he’s ventured into ‘mad scientist’ territory.
Where: Standard Carriage
When: Horseshoe, day 3
What: Senku is determined to test the reincarnation mechanic for side effects and potential uses in a worst-case scenario.
Warnings: Suicide attempt, for science.
After what was a very enlightening discussion with Wen Qing about the fact that people had a way of coming back to life, but the exact method and variables were not really known, it seemed vitally important to understand it. It only made sense to him, that if they encountered a situation that wasn’t one they could avoid, that it was a safe alternative to end someone’s suffering as a temporary fix.
It would be foolish to rely on something like that without understanding how it worked, however, and if there were side effects – what they were and could they be offset by the benefits?
Prompt A
Senku was the kind of person who worked those around him to the bone, but he would never ever ask them to do anything he wouldn’t do first. The only logical conclusion was to, once again, sacrifice his own body in the name of science. He was relatively certain it would work, so he tried to tell himself he wasn’t worried about it.
The human mind really was horribly designed for things like this because his hands were trembling, his heart beating in his chest, and sweat running down the back of neck in a fairly typical fear response. It was only natural, humans didn’t want to die, on a biological level. The orange SCA on his wrist was beginning to make a lot of noise, flashing red and beeping loud enough that he was going to draw attention if he didn’t do it. He had his newly made stone knife leveled at his chest, having decided that seemed like the best possible option with the least amount of clean up.
He took a deep breath, and tried to steel himself.
Prompt B
With the attempt on his own life thwarted and he being neutralized, potentially even being sat on by Asagiri Gen, he was quiet a moment.
“Can I have my knife back now?” He asked dryly, holding out his hand for the tool.
Senku did not look terribly regretful, or like he’d learned a lesson - yet.

He hummed at Eva's question. "I'm not certain about lavender. I think the kitchen has garlic, at least? Our spices are woefully limited."
no subject
"Tea'll be good." The caffeine would help, or it would be non-caffeinated and he'd probably sleep early that night. That would be strange.
no subject
Well, a bit for the boys and more for her.
"They are. I've got berries for home, but even that's starting to get old news now."
no subject
He tilted his head a little. "Berries? I might just be unfamiliar with what's all in the train supplies just yet."
no subject
He moved to take a seat, letting Eva deal with the tea.
no subject
"Might because they're from my world? I grow them in the greenhouse, though I've yet to build up a decent store and I should probably order in some more at some point."
no subject
He hummed a little, sitting down with Senku. "What do they taste like? Are we talking about sweet, or tart?"
no subject
"I haven't really explored your fruit, although I tasted one at the meeting. It was fine."
no subject
Besides, there's more important things to talk about: such as berries. "It depends on the berry-fruit, honestly. Some, like the pairu, taste like a spicy pineapple, but not quite. Others, like the oran, taste like oranges. It depends on the berry-fruit and how it's used."
no subject
He looked eager. "Any chance you'd allow a friend to perhaps sample a few pieces?"

/late with starbucks
"I would, but none of them are harvestable right now."
And she ends up going through what she does harvest faster than she can keep up demand.
