Horseshoe 2: Orange Team meet(ing) and mingle

Either Eva or Curufin, or they both use the ICP to remind Orange Team of the meeting. "Orange Team, please report to the upper Dining Car for a Team Meeting. It isn't mandatory, but we do encourage everyone to attend. If you need a bribe: we have snacks."

For this meeting, Eva's commandeered the top of the dining carriage. Is it the best or the ideal location? no, not at all. Yet given the number of people in the team, it'll have to do.

Food-wise, there's there's enough honeycakes (thank you, Nerdanel) for anyone who wants one, along with far too many try fifty oran berries across numerous bowls. They taste something like oranges, but not nearly as big. There's also three bags of sweets and lollies spread across several bowls, too. There's also room for any other food, of course.

There's also a few stacks of paper that, outside the few Welcome Guides Eva's brought along just in case, seem to be a survey of some kind, and every Orange Team member will, at some point, be offered one by either Eva or Curufin.

Since most people seemed to have gotten snacks already, and it wouldn't be too weird, he was swiping two more pieces of the wrapped candy and pocketing for future bribery usage.

When he's offered a cake he puts up a hand, shaking his head. "No thanks. Not a big fan of sugar." Which, admittedly, most of the snacks seemed to be.

Curufin spots Senku pocketing the candy and grins. He approves.

"No problem," he answers, when Senku refuses the cake. "There are a few other goodies, such as oran berries." He points to a bowl of the citrusy fruits.

He figured he might wonder about the candy then. "I'm planning on bribing Gen in the future." He said with a grin and a shrug.

"Never hurts to keep my right hand man happy." He commented.

"Are they particularly sweet?" Senku asked, not entirely sure what oran berries were, actually.

"Oho, I see!" says Curufin with an answering grin. "Candy is the BEST BRIBE EVER! I'm sure Gen will appreciate it."

Chuckle. "Yep, got to keep your right-hand man happy, or he might defect and become your left-hand man."

"The oran berries are sort of moderately sweet, I'd say. Like oranges."

"He seems to like sugar, so I'm sure he would think so. Normally I make him some cola but since I don't have that on hand, this will have to do for now." Senku mused thoughtfully.

He grinned. "Nah, I'm not worried about him defecting anywhere."

He didn't mind oranges, but they were definitely not something he'd had in a long time as they weren't native to Japan. He did reach over and take one though, in that case. "Guess it won't hurt."

"You might be able to buy a cola at the train store, if you have enough points. But maybe your recipe would be better. I don't know what the ingredients are, but there may be some in the kitchen storage units." Curufin had spent so much time in the kitchen that he had faith that most things could be contrived.

He laughed. "I'm sure Gen isn't going to defect if you're in the habit of provide him with bribes."

He smiled when Senku helped himself to a sample of the oran berries. "Can't hurt to try all the goodies that are offered."

"I probably could save up the points, but a way to make it perpetually would be better." If only because Gen would get to have it more often, and in turn that would put him in a better mood.

"I did check, but not much luck in that department, then again I don't find the stores have that much I'm looking for to begin with." He shrugged. He'd adapt.

"He better not, I'll be annoyed if he does." He snickered lightly, he didn't think for a moment he would, bribes aside.

"I guess so." He looked at the oran berry critically, well at least he trusted the strange fruit to be edible if they said it was. He didn't think anyone was trying to poison him.

Sorry I didn't get back here sooner! Okay if we call this a wrap?

"I agree! It's better to make things in the kitchen than to buy them in the store."

Curufin chucked too. He was a reformed character, but he was still a bit on the mischievous side, and he liked to joke about bribery.

Nope, nobody was trying to poison Senku. "I'd say, take the opportunity this party affords and collect as many samples of the refreshments as you can. It never hurts to have a reserve."

Yeah, that's fine.

Curufin had no idea just how many things Senku would pick up all on his own, including refreshments.

He just grinned. "Not to worry, I'll be sure to do that."
