Hey guys, forget about that public breakdown the other day. Today Inigo is on the ICP with a big smile, seeming as cheerful as ever. It's fine. It's cool.

"Good day, everyone! Tidus and I brought some things back with us from Irivar to share with everyone. So why not come over to the standard coach and see if there's anything you'd like to take with you, hm? We have quite the selection! Oh, and.. erm, Taiki, Roland, Bryn and Della.. If you could make sure to come see us, we'd appreciate it! Otherwise I might have to send Ti--"

Before Inigo can even finish the sentence, there's an offscreen obviously very Tidus-y voice calling out, "Inigo! Ask for Sakura too!"

Inigo huffs, turning his gaze to the off screen source. "I was getting to that!" (No he wasn't.) Apparently he accidentally pulled his ticket off the ICP as he starts moving away from it too, because the feed just cuts out. Just come get some sweet stuff.

Their set-up in the standard car is a simple, if messy, one. They have a few of their offered freebies on the same table they occupy, each guy facing the other, sat by the wall. From the immediate front, fragrant bags sit no bigger than a palm, a variety of scents better to tell when held to the nose. Whetstones sit stacked mostly on top of one another, and then a cluster of hair ribbons and circular hair ties behind them. Behind the bags are a few scent oils--basically, perfumes, if not very big. There's a few to choose from, but...

...not as many as there are the soaps, which take up a half of the table in their choice. It's like a lush shop here of choice, different colours and sizes.

And Inigo and Tidus? Sit there, either playing cards or fiddling through the paper craft book available from the art supplies where the old library used to be.

A chalkboard sits balanced, with the words 'FREE 2 TAKE' written in big letters. In case you missed the public announcement.

At least Tidus's story about his family isn't new to Inigo. So when he sits here, quietly listening and thinking for a moment, he's mostly thinking about what Kaiba is saying.

.. until that last part. Because there's room in this conversation for that advice to be applied to him and Tidus, and that's just weird, because Inigo is pretty sure Kaiba is talking about his boyfriend here and that's just--

"So you're fine with things being this way?" QUICKLY REDIRECTING THIS INTO THIS DIRECTION, DON'T MIND HIM. At least Inigo's tone doesn't sound necessarily judging, more curious. Like he's trying to understand. Kaiba's mindset is far from his own, after all.. "Or would you like it better if you could be more naturally affectionate with him?"

Tidus, oblivious to Inigo's weird brain, is going to just sit here and let Kaiba answer the question as he likes. bro i know my hair is blond but i ain't yugi, bro!!

Kaiba takes a deep breath. He's...honestly not immediately sure how to answer.

"...I enjoy it when I'm able to get out of my own head long enough to. And if it will make him happier..."

He flexes and loosens his hand. "I don't easily express myself through words either. If I can learn either that, or how to physically express it better? I'll try. I never want Yugi, or my brother...or anyone else who's earned my care to doubt that."

And then he looks back at Inigo, an odd quirk to his lips like he's trying to joke. "Why, are you piloting lessons?"

Inigo tries to carefully listen to Kaiba though. Maybe it's because of the recent departures, but Inigo can't help but think of Yuki for a moment - he was like that too, wasn't he? Not too great at expression affection, but wanting to try when basked in Inigo's waterfall of compliments. So he can understand Kaiba's sentiment, if what he's trying to express right now is him behing honest.

And despite the fact that the last part might sound like it's a joke, Inigo can't help but answer genuinely because of that thought.

".. Well, if you'd.. want? I mean, lessons would be going too far," What would affection talking lessons even be, please!! "but I wouldn't mind helping out. Maybe by helping you think of ways to do it. It's really easy for me."

"Why not? There's gotta be weirder things people get help for." Does Tidus know what? No. Buut- "You're not super close, so it's not going to be weird, and Inigo won't tell anyone what you talk about. Also, you're both on different teams, so no awkward mission moments."

He leans back, shrugging with a smile. "What you got to lose? He can be your...affection therapist!"

It may have been a joke, but if encouraging the idea actually means something good for Kaiba...! (or even them both?)

Kaiba rakes a hand through his hair as he considers this. It's...not a bad idea.

"Fair points---but never use the T word again. Consultant."

He nods firmly. "I'd...appreciate any tips you can offer. I know he needs more than I've given so far."

There's a slight look in Tidus's direction, probably meant as a 'what do you mean, not going to get weird?!' kind of look, but it lasts only a brief moment. Probably not even long enough to fully convey the message.

He's glad enough that Tidus seems in favour of the idea anyway. It makes him feel a bit less dumb for offering to help. Kaiba does seem like the kind of guy who could use it.

"Well, then the first tip is that you shouldn't be too hard on yourself over that! You're trying, and anyone who cares for you would already appreciate that effort by itself. Not to mention, you guys wouldn't be together if he didn't like you for who you are." Inigo says it so easily. With a slight smile, even. It's like these thoughts come natural to him, despite him literally never applying any of that kindness to himself.. "But if you want to make a first step, it may be good to figure out what kind of affection is easiest to express for you. There's all kinds, after all, and many people are better at one kind than another! There's physical affection, but also verbal, or giving gifts, or doing things for others.."

He points at himself. "I'm pretty comfortable with all of them." Because he's a sap. A huge sap. Then Inigo points over at Tidus. "And Tidus here is a champion of picking gifts. He's much better at that than me!"

And sure, Tidus also gives nice hugs ~~and it's great to spoon with him~~ but he is saving his friend that embarrassment.

"So it's easier to find what doesn't feel as hard for you, and then you can move your way up from there towards the things that are a little harder."

No saying the 'T' word?? Whoa, history. Can he say 'massage therapist'? Why's his head starting to think of all potential banned topics?? ~~SPOONING IS A BANNED TOPIC.~~

But this is Kaiba's free consultant session time, so Tidus keeps himself zipped up, quiet as Inigo speaks. It sounds pretty straightforward, and he wasn't about to expect himself getting included - is he a good gift giver? -, but he accepts it with some surprise.

"Time's always key too! Every athlete-in-training questions if they're making progress, 'cause you don't think about everything you're doing easier now that you couldn't before. And that's where not being hard on yourself comes in."

He makes a fist, pumping it. "All you can do is keep seeing what works for you!"

Psych! Like he was going to keep his mouth shut for long.
