Who: Inigo, Tidus (aka the two shared braincells duo) and you!
Where: The standard coach
When: Horseshoe 17
What: Inigo and Tidus are handing out free stuff because Tidus is the train's official sugar daddy.
Warnings: Probably nothing, will edit if necessary.

Hey guys, forget about that public breakdown the other day. Today Inigo is on the ICP with a big smile, seeming as cheerful as ever. It's fine. It's cool.
"Good day, everyone! Tidus and I brought some things back with us from Irivar to share with everyone. So why not come over to the standard coach and see if there's anything you'd like to take with you, hm? We have quite the selection! Oh, and.. erm, Taiki, Roland, Bryn and Della.. If you could make sure to come see us, we'd appreciate it! Otherwise I might have to send Ti--"
Before Inigo can even finish the sentence, there's an offscreen obviously very Tidus-y voice calling out, "Inigo! Ask for Sakura too!"
Inigo huffs, turning his gaze to the off screen source. "I was getting to that!" (No he wasn't.) Apparently he accidentally pulled his ticket off the ICP as he starts moving away from it too, because the feed just cuts out. Just come get some sweet stuff.
---
Their set-up in the standard car is a simple, if messy, one. They have a few of their offered freebies on the same table they occupy, each guy facing the other, sat by the wall. From the immediate front, fragrant bags sit no bigger than a palm, a variety of scents better to tell when held to the nose. Whetstones sit stacked mostly on top of one another, and then a cluster of hair ribbons and circular hair ties behind them. Behind the bags are a few scent oils--basically, perfumes, if not very big. There's a few to choose from, but...
...not as many as there are the soaps, which take up a half of the table in their choice. It's like a lush shop here of choice, different colours and sizes.
And Inigo and Tidus? Sit there, either playing cards or fiddling through the paper craft book available from the art supplies where the old library used to be.
A chalkboard sits balanced, with the words 'FREE 2 TAKE' written in big letters. In case you missed the public announcement.
1:
Come up, and have a look. Ask about what they've got.
2:
Or while you're here, maybe you can help Tidus, who pipes up to ask-
"Hey, quick question. How long 'til you're comfortable hugging someone?"
(ooc: as a note, all threads on this will be threeways! please enjoy trying to handle both teens at once. you can't seperate them.)

Zanarkand was the place where Tidus was from, or at least a... not real version of it. The place Tidus had let be destroyed. Taiki still doesn't know everything that Tidus holds in his heart and he doesn't want to push him too far again.
Perhaps that is cowardice on his part. But instead he asks, "So Spira was led by religious rulers? What was their religion like?"
His own world, despite the gods, despite the fact that kirin followed the will of the gods to chose the rulers of the kingdoms, didn't put much stock in religion and when they did it was through the Taoist or Buddhist temples, many of which could be traced back to Kaikyaku of old, who had brought their religious beliefs with them through the shoku.

That was the basics of it, wasn't it? Always how he heard it. People losing their way. Because of machina.
"I don't really know all the nitty gritty of it, but people believed it. There was a summoner called Yunalesca who was able to defeat Sin, and nobody else had done it with machina, so people believed it because of that, I guess. Everyone stopped using machina, and if you were a Maester or a summoner - 'specially one who defeated Sin - you were respected."
He pauses, taps his forefinger idly.
"The actual leader or figure of this thing though was called 'Yevon' - his teachings. Except Yevon was actually the guy controlling Sin, used to be someone from Zanarkand." He looks at Taiki, shaking his head. "Messed up, huh?"
no subject
"So people were lied to? They believed someone who was actually behind it all?"
That was terrible, that someone would control something, do harm to people and then twist the situation to their own ends.
no subject
"Yevon -- or Yu Yevon, he wasn't around after Sin was. He's the guy who summoned Sin, but it fried his brain, and he was stuck inside Sin - bringing it back, re-summoning, all that. I guess they just called the teachings the teachings of Yevon because..."
He pauses in thought, then shakes his head. "Actually... I don't know why. The place where the Maesters live, Bevelle -- those were the guys who Zanarkand and Yevon were fighting in the war. The war that had Yevon summon Sin."
He folds his arm, mouth tilting.
"It was a whole mess. I don't know how many people it at the start: a lot of machina still runs in Bevelle. Nobody was willing to try anything different, anyway - plus, if the teachings turned out to be wrong... no more power for the guys at the top."
It was the ugly truth he remembered as he spoke. The head of the Maesters running to the farplane the second the option of sacrificing summoners was permanently off the table.
no subject
"It's terrible... that people would hold onto power like that."
That people who were corrupt could continue holding power. It was so on earth as well.
no subject
"But Sin's no more, so I'm happy with that. Life's gonna be a lot easier for everyone now, so long as they don't bicker over nothing. They better be treating the Al Bhed better too."
no subject
"The Al Bhed. You mentioned them.... Who are they?"
no subject
Tidus considers it for a second before shrugging. "Well, whatever it is, they're just like you and me! They have their own culture, their own language too. They're pretty cool. One of my best friends was an Al Bhed back there." Oh- "Yuna was half-Al Bhed too. She used to have to keep it secret because of the way people treated Al Bheds, but she shouldn't have to anymore."
He says it assuredly, like that's just the way it should be. And shouldn't it? No one should get off on treating the Al Bhed the way they used to anymore.
no subject
So he is glad that things seemed to be better for the Al Bhed now in Spira. "What was your friend called?"
no subject
And sure, they knocked him out and dragged into working for them after... but eh. Details!
"We got separated quick, but we met again later. Found out they were both family - Yuna's mum was the sister to Rikku's dad. She's...really lively. Got a lot of energy! Good with her hands." He nods, smile fond and wide. "She's got spunk!"
And, what else? Oh, yeah. "She goes around as a sphere hunter these days with her brother and a small crew. Yuna was with them before she showed up here." There may be the tiniest drop to his smile, but, "--She sounds like she's doing well. Same ol' Rikku. I'm glad. She's a few years younger than me. She should be enjoying herself."
no subject
"I'm glad you met so many nice people, when you first went to Spira."
He was lucky, when he first arrived on Mount Hou Sanshi and the sages had looked after him, the second time he had been in the care of the palace of Kei. Even when he had returned to earth he had found himself on his own street. He knew others weren't as lucky.
"But what's a sphere hunter?"
no subject
Oh, he can even help visually with this, can't he? He checks to make sure that he has his arms band one, then with a quick shut of his eyes, an object appears in his hand, sitting in it. He places it on the table; a soft blue sphere present in the golden bangle, tilting slightly on the surface.
"This- this is a sphere. They all look different, but I saw a bunch of these around when I was there. Anyway, they record memories - moments in times, like that. People've been using them forever, and they're the closest anyone has of remembering history these days. 'Cause so much got destroyed and lost. Neat, huh?"
no subject
"Ah I see." He nodded. A type of technology, perhaps more magical than that. Like a video recorder. "So you can capture events as they happen or... um... Can they see your memories somehow?"
How magic were they?
no subject
There's a pause before he admits, carefully said, "Actually...my old man, he left spheres like these. Around Spira. He was recording his journey with Yuna's dad. And they kinda ended up all over the place."
As bizarre as that might sound.
no subject
Then again Tidus had mentioned machina and it seemed the place he had grown up did have technology like earth, he wasn't like Inigo to be confused with half the items in the kitchen.
He tilted his head. "Your father? He travelled with Yuna's dad?"
He still knows very little about Tidus' life, but he never wants to pry.
no subject
Was that it? Even so, he realises how weird it is, a small half-shouldered shrug joining a pinch of a smile.
"It's kinda why Yuna wanted me to be around when we first met, I think. But..." he pauses, a glance taken aside. "She was one of the only people who believed me about where I was from. It was nice. Everyone else - I ever tell you about Sin's toxin?"
no subject
He shook his head. "No." He's not heard of that.
no subject
He breathes, a silent exhale through his nose. "There wasn't any helping it... and everyone did help me out after a while," he admits on a lighter note. A smile even rising in the ends of his lips. "One even started explaining everything without me saying anything."
no subject
"I'm glad that they believed you in the end, it is awful when people won't believe you. Though it is understandable sometimes, when the truth is so incredulous."
Especially if there was toxin that affected peoples minds.
