Xue Yang's time on the train has been anything but boring. But he also finds interest in things that are quite different from most. Plus he has had some rather unfortunate occurrences that have forced him into changing a bit of who he is.

"Every mission is different. Adapting to them can be difficult. Which is why I wanted this." He waves his hand towards the swords and talismans.

"Being able to adapt with a weapon that is useful for any kind of situation is what I need to be able to succeed." Which means his boredom had been alleviated because he gets this puzzle to figure out. "I cannot argue that the time between missions can be boring."
