Bright and early, Ichigo came to the medical car. He had a large thermos of coffee, and Shiro had a cardboard box with some cat toys to keep him busy. He'd even managed to get some of his pens back from Grimmjow. Setting up a stack of file folders, he opened the door to the first exam room and got ready.

"Good morning! Here for your check up?"

She grinned, but remained quiet as he took her blood pressure, not wanting to mess up the results.

As he removed the cuff, she giggled. "Good to know." Especially with all the stuff she's had to go through.

Ichigo wrote down Kitty's blood pressure before going for his stethoscope. "Alright, now I'm gonna listen to your heart and lungs. So just relax and breathe normally."

With a nod, and once he was ready with the stethoscope she inhaled and took a deep breath, releasing it slowly and easily.

"Everything sounds great here." Ichigo smiled and put the stethoscope around his neck. He held his pen in front of her face. "Follow with your eyes, not your head."

She gave a slight nod, before following the pen as he instructed. All of this felt very familiar with check-ups she'd had back home, so she kind of knew what to expect and what to do.

With a nod, Ichigo put the pen in his pocket and smiled. "Alright, to the scale with you. Shoes off, please, so I can get your height accurately as well."

"Okay," she replied as she hopped off the examination table. Toeing off her shoes, she then went to stand on the scale.

And it was a silly thing, but she felt a bit nervous as the scale calculated her weight, hoping she hadn't gained too much while on the train. She still exercised and trained, but it definitely wasn't the same as her training back home.

Once the scale locked in on the weight, Ichigo wrote it down. Then he lifted the bar that would measure her height. "I'm sure you know the drill for this part."

"Yeah, I got it."

There was something nice about how familiar this whole routine is, as she stands up against the bar for him to measure her height.

Once he had her height down as well, Ichigo told Kitty that she could put her shoes back on again. "Anything specific you want me to note in your file? Aside from just a quick bit about your powers?"

Bending down to put her shoes back on properly, she thought for a moment for anything she might want to mention. "Probably just that I'm a vegetarian. I know that probably won't affect much, but..." She shrugged.

Hearing that Kitty was a vegetarian, Ichigo wrote that in as well. "Make sure you're still getting enough protein. Nuts, legumes, nut butters. Milk, cheese, and butter are also your friends."

"I know," she said with a nod. "I'm ovo-lacto, and I get a lot of legumes and nuts too."

"That means you do or you don't eat eggs and dairy?" Ichigo wasn't up on all the terminology of vegetarians, mostly because he hadn't met anyone before who was fully vegetarian.

"I do. Ovo-lacto vegetarians mean they make an exception for eggs and dairy. There are also pescatarians, who eat seafood, but I'm not really big on fish, honestly."

"When it's done right, fish is wonderful. But it's challenging, and depending on the fish, easy to mess up." Ichigo smiled and finished his notes on Kitty. "Well, it looks like you have a clean bill of health so far."

"I'll keep that in mind." By which she meant that she definitely still wouldn't be eating fish.

With his assessment, she grinned. "Awesome, thanks. Anything else, doc?"

She knew he wasn't a doctor yet, but it felt right.

After making a few final notes in her file, Ichigo shook his head with a smile. "Nope, you are good to go. If you feel unwell or get hurt, you know how to find us."
