Bright and early, Ichigo came to the medical car. He had a large thermos of coffee, and Shiro had a cardboard box with some cat toys to keep him busy. He'd even managed to get some of his pens back from Grimmjow. Setting up a stack of file folders, he opened the door to the first exam room and got ready.

"Good morning! Here for your check up?"

"Everything sounds good here." Ichigo commented, pulling the stethoscope away from Trunks' skin. "My Dad is a doctor, and he runs a clinic that's attached to our house. He opened it up before I was born, and I've just always wanted to be able to help people the way that he does. Do you have any career plans for your future?"

Oh that was a tricky question. "I...honestly, just want to have a future where everyone is at peace and not just surviving, but doing well." Reaching up, Trunks brushed his bangs out of his eyes. "My world has been under seige by two homicidal androids since I was about 6 months old or so. No one can really stop or stand up to them, except me now. My master, Gohan...died when I was 14. He did his best to stop them too."

"Damn, that sounds like hell." Ichigo said softly, making a few quick notes in Trunks' file. "Over to the scale, shoes off. Please." More and more he was finding people who's lives made his sound downright easy.

Trunks undid his boots and slipped them off, padding over to the scale. "I'm...not actually from my world at the moment. The train pulled me from the same world, but a different timeline, and the past. I'm trying to help prevent mine from coming."

"I hope you can manage it. That kind of a future sounds pretty awful to be facing." Ichigo followed Trunks to the scale and lifted the arm that would measure his height. "Just stand up straight and hold still for a few seconds."

"It...won't help my time-line, but if I can get stronger, I can beat them. I know I can." Murmured almost to himself, a bit sadly, but with a lot of determination as Trunks did what Ichigo asked.

"I went back before, and warned them. At least they were better prepared than we were, and Goku is still alive..."

Jotting down the height and weight measurements, Ichigo put away the height bar and stepped away from the scale. "I'm sure you'll succeed. You're in excellent health, and you seem to be very strong."

Heading back over to his boots, Trunks took a seat to put 'em back on. "I hope you're right...thank you." As for the strong, it had him looking up with a hint of a grin on his face. "Blame the whole half-saiyan thing. They were a warrior race, so their base is already considered super-human compared to a normal human."

"So, anything else I need to know about for your medical history? Any extra organs? Allergies?"

[light_of_willpower]

"I think we went over most of it at the start of this appointment. No tail, and I'm not sure I ever had one. No allergies that I know of, I wasn't even really sick at all growing up. I have almost been killed before, a few times, but I heal from injuries pretty quickly. Whatever doesn't kill me just makes me stronger, right?" Trunks said that jokingly--and he doesn't know it, but for a saiyan and half-saiyan, that is literally true.

Ichigo snorted softly and shrugged. "In your world, that might really be the case, so I'm not ruling it out."

"It does mean I'm used to being a protector, and target. Better me than someone who can't fight back." Trunks murmured, reaching up and brushing his bangs aside. Trying to not let his thoughts go to a darker place. "I...at least amuse 17 and 18, even if I'm sure they could annihilate me. I'm SOME kind of challenge at least."

"I know that feeling way too well. Back home, I'm the strongest person I know, but I've never had time to really properly train. But it makes me a pretty big target, which can help protect the people around me, oddly."

[light_of_willpower]

"Oh now I really wanna spar with you." Trunks said, turning his head to the other with a grin. "Seriously, hit me up in the training gym sometime."

"How's your sword work? I'm not much of a hand to hand kind of guy anymore." Not that Ichigo couldn't fight that way, but he was sure he'd be a poor opponent for Trunks.

"Well I'm good with practicing with either. I seem to be unusual in the group where I'm from in that I do use a sword. Although I'm told Goku used a staff when he was younger, the magical power pole."

"If you want good hand to hand, try to talk Grimmjow into showing you his released form." The overgrown cat was a beast with hand to hand like that. And as much as Ichigo wanted to fight him again, he wasn't overly eager for that form.

[light_of_willpower]

"That might have to wait until we're off train, and I might have to get over my annoyance at him." Trunks responded. "Piccolo and I can't go all out either while on the train. Too easy to hurt others."

"Yeah, that's one of the reasons Grimmjow and I haven't fought since he showed up. We'd ruin the train throwing power around."

[light_of_willpower]

"You guys can't control yourselves?" Trunks asked with some surprise. At this point the check-up was likely over, but he was enjoying the conversation.

"Well, I never learned to control my power because I had to get so strong so fast. Grimmjow has a lot more control, but we both tend to lose track of bystanders when we spar."

[light_of_willpower]

"Huh." Trunks murmured, crossing his arms in thought for a moment. "Have you considered asking Piccolo for help? With the control?" Losing track of bystanders during a spar was definitely also not an okay thing in Trunks' mind.

Ichigo gave a thoughtful hum at that. "I hadn't, actually. He's the big green guy, right?" He supposed reiatsu and qi were theoretically similar enough.

[light_of_willpower]

"Yeah. He's actually taught before. I haven't or I'd offer. I'm happy to be a training partner though if you want."

"I might take you up on that for hand to hand. I haven't had formal lessons in over a decade, and even my days of getting harassed by punks on the streets seem to have ended a few years ago."
