She's never been to sea, despite living in a port city her whole life, but she can easily imagine terrible things in the ocean.

"Great monsters do be living there, monsters that will be eating the ships of those who do be being too stupid to be sailing right. But sailors do be saying that worse than all the monsters there do be being an even greater enemy out there."

She paused, watching his face. She doesn't know him very well so she has to study him, to see how the story is being received.
