"That can vary, a lot. At my old school it used to be more like prom but with costumes, so basically lame. But generally if you have candy and costumes you're todally off to a great start. Generally we carve pumpkins not turnip though, mostly because you'd have to be out of your gourd to wanna make turnip bread or turnip spice pie. Plus I'm waiting for someone to shed some light on how we're supposed to fit a candle in one of these things...."
