Who: The Thunderstorms
Where: The game car
When: Bassoon Day 6
What: Spending time together playing games
Warnings: Sugary?
"So this says," Dread said, looking up from the ICP at the absurdly large board that, apparently, was not a ridiculous riddle-challenge to get into an ancient tomb or the like, "that landing on the head of a snake sends you to the end of the snake, but landing on the bottom of a ladder sends you to the top of the ladder.
He shrugged. Make any sense to you, Sarai?

"Are you sure this is a game? It sounds like a puzzle to get into a lost temple or some such." She still remembered Qarn, thank you very much. She was glad that he'd remembered the puzzles the last time they'd run through there--the younglings they'd been helping certainly hadn't known, and hadn't paid attention to the reliefs that gave them instructions, either. She had, but considering she'd been healing, at that point, there were more important things on her mind!
"They don't have mahjong tiles?"

"Nope, dominoes, but it looks like it has instructions, do you want to try that?" Worse came to worse, they could always make a domino rally, knock it down, and put them back up again. The thought just came naturally. Maybe it was the sound the pieces made as they fell. There was just something tantalizing about it...

"That works well enough for me," he said, dropping the other stuff back down carefully.

"Here you go, then!" said Sarai, handing the paper up to her husband.

"So I just put them face down in a pile, and we pick seven each and then count up how many points we have? That seems easy enough."
And Sarai set to putting her words into action!

Once she had them mixed up, he plucked one out of the pile and turned it over -- two dots on one side, five on the other.

"I suppose that means you're going first?" she asked him, bemused. Hovering her hand over the pile, she selected one and turned it over.
Four dots on each side, to make eight. "Oh," Sarai said.

"Seven, correct?" she asked, before she began to select her dominoes.

She wasn't terribly sure what the point was still, but she set out a domino with a 2 dot and a 5 dot sequence.
