(open) my heart is about to jump out of my chest
Who: Inigo and you!
Where: The upper level of the music carriage
When: Imagination 19/20
What: Inigo thinks he's having a private dance practice moment. Thinks.

(open to all)
If you happen to pass through the music carriage today - as people usually do when moving through the train - you may notice something. Either you can hear music coming from the upper floor, drawing your attention, or if you have a good heart, you may instead see an odd little creature sitting on the stairs, swaying from side to side along with the music.
If you decide to go upstairs, the creature certainly won't do anything to stop you, if you can see it. In fact, it seems to happily bounce right after you, following you up.
And upstairs the carriage is mostly empty - except for Inigo standing on the stage, dancing. The music is even more audible now. Inigo is dancing along to the beat, eyes closed, yet he doesn't seem to even come close to falling off the stage, as if he knows exactly where to place his feet. Which he probably does, considering his movements seem to be very fluid, practiced. It's a pretty captivating dance, honestly, and it's easy to just keep watching it without realising the time is passing until the song stops.
It's then that Inigo stops moving too, finally opening his eyes..
.. and therefore finally noticing that he's not alone. He lets out an absolute shriek, staring you straight in the eyes, before his foot slips and he finally ends up falling on the stage.
Temporary elegance gone. There is only a miserable little pile of Inigo on the stage now.
(closed to taiki)
Okay, okay. Maybe he just needs to get used to dancing in front of people. He danced in front of Tidus before, and that was only.. only mildly mortifying, so maybe that's what he should do. Make sure to dance in front of people he feels a bit more comfortable with.
Hence why Inigo gently dragged (read: made puppy eyes at until he gave in) Taiki along here. He said it was fine if Taiki would just sit there and paint or something, do whatever he feels like doing! It's just that Inigo has to get used to having an audience, okay! And Taiki is just about the most gentle person Inigo can think of for this sort of thing.
But thinking of that is one thing. The actual execution of this plan is another thing.
Which is why they're both here now, but rather than dancing, Inigo just sitting there on the stage, slumped over, groaning. His face is buried in his hands.
"Why is it so hard to get started when someone else is looking.." Is he whining to Taiki? To himself? Who knows.

He has brought his paint case but is not planning on just ignoring Inigo at all. However he is using it to try and ease Inigo, to make him feel less watched. Better than him just sitting there.
"Tell me what will make it easier, do you wish me to close my eyes at first, or turn away?"
no subject
Inigo does think about it, but the very moment he does, he feels so silly. Isn't it dumb? Taking Taiki all the way along here to watch him, only to tell the other to sit there turned around rather than directly look at him?
By Naga, this would be so much easier if he wasn't so uselessly shy.
"I don't know. I.. maybe I should close my eyes? That way you can still see, but maybe I can.. uh, I can tell myself there's no one there that way.." He rubs the back of his head, clearly awkward.
no subject
It is probably possible and that might be better actually, for Inigo to pretend until he felt comfortable enough to open them.
But he thinks it might be difficult, to dance when he couldn't see.
"Whatever you think will help, Inigo."
no subject
"I just.. uh." His gaze nervously darts around, his cheeks pink. "I just hope it won't look too stupid."
no subject
"Dance with them closed... and open them when you are ready."
Even if that didn't happen this session, this was all about helping Inigo getting more comfortable dancing in front of people after all.

Even though he knows the other doesn't mean the words that way - would never mean them that way - it's easier if he imagines them like an order. Like there's no way back. He has to dance here, or he might disappoint Taiki. Even though he knows that won't happen, it's not all that hard to trick his brain into thinking it all the same.
"Okay, hold on.." He wanders over to pick some music. It doesn't take too long before a song starts playing. Inigo moves back, though making sure to have some Taiki-free space around him. He's pretty confident in his spatial awareness even when his eyes are closed, but he's still not going to risk anything.
At first nothing happens. Like Inigo still can't quite get himself to do it. But then, a few lines into the song, once he's calmed down his breathing, he finally does start moving. His eyes are entirely closed, but his body starts moving all the same. The dance is fluid, smooth, as if he's just dancing regularly with his eyes open.
no subject
He's not sure if music like this is similar to what Inigo knows from his own world but Inigo seems to be able to dance to it without a problem. He smiles softly as he begins to dance. It doesn't even matter that his eyes are closed, he doesn't miss a beat and Taiki is transfixed, watching him move.
He still sits still, afraid to move or make noise or do anything to remind Inigo that he has an audience, anything to break his concentration. It is a wonderful thing, to see him dance like this.
no subject
No, instead he's just thinking about the music. About the flow of it, the rhythm. Just letting his body move, becoming one with the song.
It's only when the song and the music stops that Inigo stops moving again. For a moment he still stands there, eyes closed, before they slowly fall open.
.. He lets out a breath he didn't realise he was holding in, a bit of colour coming to his cheeks.
"W-.. Well, how was that, Taiki..? It wasn't too awful, was it?" He sounds a little nervous just asking it.
no subject
He shook his head, "Not awful at all, you danced so..."
Inigo should not be nervous about this, there would be no one who could not see just how talented he is.
no subject
But Taiki compliments? Apparently those are daunting with or without physical contact, since Inigo can feel his face glowing with a blush when he hears the other say the word beautiful.
"A-Aw, come on.." He isn't fully trying to dismiss the other, he wouldn't dare to, but still.. Inigo bows his head, shuffling even a bit closer to the other, until they're near pressed together. "You're just being nice."
Since Taiki is always nice! Inigo is sure Taiki wouldn't dare to say it even if his dancing did suck.
no subject
Just ignoring the fact that he can. But that's not relevant right now, he's not just being nice. Tidus' dancing was beautiful. His arms wrap around him the moment he shuffled close enough, holding him tightly.
"You are very talented, you have no reason for shame."
no subject
But he doesn't protest further. Instead he just allows the hug to happen, leaning a bit - but only a bit, since it's not like he's going to throw his full body weight against poor Taiki - on him.
"But.. thank you, I guess. I just.. I don't see what's so special about it, but if you like it.."
no subject
He feels ashamed that Inigo has caught him in them though. He doesn't let go of the hug though, the most important thing is making Inigo feel better.]
It was very special, I liked it a lot.
no subject
Taiki's current words just draw out some mumbled protests from Inigo - like he wants to disagree, but doesn't dare to since it's Taiki.. And he's weak.. So instead he's just doing some flustered mumbling. ]
Well, if.. if you like it, then that's good already, I guess.. [ He's growing more gooey by the minute. It's just the effect Taiki has on him, to the point where things slip out naturally, like-- ] I want to make you happy, after all..
no subject
It makes you happy too, right? Dancing does...
no subject
Y-Yeah.
[ It's hard to admit, considering how embarrassing his feelings about dancing are, but he can't lie to Taiki. ]
It.. It makes me think of happier times. And I'd like to be able to make people feel good or happier by dancing..
no subject
I'm glad it helps you think of happier times as well... That's important.
no subject
[ He mumbles, though seeming to calm a bit under Taiki's touch. It is a nice feeling, having his hair stroked like that. Especially since Inigo loves physical affection so much. ]
It's since it makes me think of my mother. [ And anything having to do with her is automatically a happier time. Especially since everything got truly bad around the time she died. ] And the times we danced together when I was little.
no subject
[Even if those memories might be sad as well, Taiki knows that Inigo's parents had died. So thinking of his mother was probably sad, as well as happy.]
no subject
It's.. my connection to her.
[ Even though she's dead. Even though the mother he got to meet again in the past wasn't technically his mother. ]
Like a part of her lives on in me, as long as I keep dancing. I hope that can make her happy, even though she's been dead for so long now.
no subject
[Who wouldn't be after all. Inigo was so strong, so brave and despite all his sorrow, despite his nerves he still danced.
Even though Taiki knew that Inigo's life had often been violent, he didn't let that be all what his life was. He could still create such beauty as this.]
no subject
Taikiiii. [ Whiiiine. At least it's not an annoyed whine, it's just an 'how do I ever deal with this' kind of whine. Like Taiki has a big, whiny baby pressed up against him. ] How are you so nice, huh? It's as if you have something nice to say in reply to whatever I say. You really are too good.
no subject
[He didn't think he was overly nice to Inigo, just that Inigo expected cruelty at every turn and so was so surprised whenever he found kindness instead.]
no subject
Wow, Taiki, doesn't that sound like someone else you know very well? His name is at the tip of my tongue..]Can you even be mean to people?
[ Look, the first time he met Taiki was.. Something, alright. But he won't classify just very, very intense staring as being mean, okay. Though Inigo may be a tad biased in Taiki's favour here. ]
I don't think I've ever seen you do that.
no subject
[He looks sad at that, he never would want to hurt people, by his actions or words. But he does and he has. Not often has it been purposful.]
I don't think it is impossible for a kirin to be mean...
