Local Psychic(?) Does Your Laundry
WHO: Reigen and OTA
WHERE: Sleeper Cars, potentially Store Car
WHEN: Bassoon Day 6, Morning
WHAT: Reigen acts like a responsible human being and hunts down people's laundry.
WARNING: None, aside from Reigen being Reigen, probably.
Reigen likes the supernatural as much as the next guy, but he still can't help but seek out some sense of normalcy. He needs something basic to occupy himself with to fight off the threats of ennui and cabin fever from being stuck on a train, so when he rereads the train itinerary and sees laundry on the list of chores for his team, he figures now is a good enough time to take care of that. Time to be a responsible citizen!
Once he's gotten a basket to carry stuff, he starts with tossing the clothes from his own cabin in there (he'll have to use extra detergent for Jessica's, he thinks, maybe even put her clothes in a bag with some baking soda before washing them just to make sure the smoke smell is gone), then knocks on some other nearby cabins.
"Morning. I'm trying to get a full load of laundry, help me out here."

She opened her mouth to start to explain but then shut it again. He didn't want to know? Or he did? She blinked. "Okay. I will no be telling you that."
Even if it was true.

"Aha...that was just an expression, Kid. I do wanna know what happened, how'd you disappear? Where did you even go?"
no subject
If it was an expression it was a stupid one. She took satisfaction at seeing him almost drop everything. Served him right for being confusing. She shrugged. "I do no be knowing how. The voice." She waved in the air to indicate the train voice, "Did be telling me I did be being needed in the control coach and then I did be waking up in a suitcase and it did be being a week later."
no subject
Also, what was that? A disembodied voice told Kid to go somewhere and she woke up in a suitcase? ...ok.
"Ok, noted, I'll watch out for people in the control room who want to stuff me in a suitcase. ...you actually woke up in a suitcase, huh? Jeez, that doesn't sound like a fun thing to wake up to."
no subject
"I did no be seeing any people though. I did just be hearing the voice."
no subject
"Well, if I didn't think so before, I'm certain of it now. Our conductor's not human. Or, if they are, they aren't directly on the train."
no subject
"You do no be thinking they do be being on the train?" The not human part was not so surprising, there were quite a few people on the train now who weren't human. It was strange but not too strange.
But to not be on the train at all, yet talking to them... She thought that was what he meant by conductor, the voice.
no subject
"A normal person wouldn't be able to take someone away and erase their memories of it without physically interacting in some way...wait, wait, what if they don't have a physical form? It could be a ghost, or...is the train itself talking to us?!" Now he really wasn't sure. Maybe a talking ghost train was completely ridiculous, or maybe he was absolutely right.

Ships didn't talk, but then again ships didn't fly or go through weird voids.
But people spoke of a conductor and she had figured they meant the voice and that it was like the captain of a ship. She had no idea though, it was strange. If the ship was talking it still didn't explain how she had ended up in a suitcase.
