Who: Conan and Anyone
Where: Luggage Car
When: Early Morning, Imagination 25
What: Ran gave Conan a sleeping pill. It was not a sleeping pill. Welcome back, Shinichi.
Warnings: Apotoxin related pain
It is early in the morning when Conan wakes up his cabin to an all too familiar spasm of pain in his chest. He doubles over as he rides the pain out, and then immediately bails out of bed in a panic. He has just enough presence of mind to grab up a blanket before running out of the room, He heads away from the sleeper cars, knowing that there would be no privacy in that direction, and dashes through the dressing room and triage cars.
It was early. There was a chance that the luggage car would be empty at this hour.
He could not let anyone see this.

Good news is.
"Oiiii..." That's the voice of someone who's in on it. "I dunno what th' hell happened but ahhh...I got a feelin' y might need some stuff..."
no subject
"Why are there so many people here at this time in the morning," he finally complains.
no subject
"Hey, don' ask me- I just figured you might need.." He drops his bag down. "That."
Pants! A sweater! Maybe a water? He doesn't have a water. "Th' hell's goin' on anyway?" Seer perks are having a single point of understanding and zero context.
no subject
"I'm about to grow ten years," he says sourly. There was no point in lying about it when the change was this close.
no subject
A pause, and- "An' then maybe y' can answer th' 'how'd y' get here' bit?"
no subject
But Jounouchi was right.
He sighs and holds out a hand for the clothes.
no subject
Spare clothes passed over, he at least has the decency to give a grimacing smile. "Good luck man...I'll try t' herd folks off w'th Red Eyes but..."
Well. "...I dunno that I'm gonna have a lotta luck," he grumbles with a look back, the clothes plenty easy for the other to snatch on the way into the carriage.

So he knows too? [Who else on the train happens to know already, then?
But no, that can come later. Right now the focus is keeping anyone else away.]
So, how long will you need us to keep others away from here, Conan?
no subject
Hard to deny being the wrong age after seeing that he had memories of being older.
He frowns and does some quick calculations.
"At least ten minutes." Last time it had taken that long to wake up from it.
no subject
Hnnnn...still. He glances at Sera. "Obviously tha' ain't why yer in on stuff... ...but, handle tha' later! We'll do our best an' uh..." He scratches his head, shrugging as Red Eyes rises their own, much larger one out from his shadow. "...Give a knock when yer set, got a feelin' a shouts a bad idea."
no subject
More important was concealing why she knew, out of a desire to not have to bring up the details to someone she barely knew.]
Yeah, let's worry about what's happening now instead of why I know. Thankfully not many other people should be up right now, so this should be easier than if it happened later.
[She's trying to sound calm, even as she stares at Red Eyes, but ten minutes is still a good chunk of time to keep people away from the area.]
no subject
She's also pretty sure no-one's died and it's very much not platform day, so-
"...Easier for what to happen?"
She wasn't that awake before -though she would like her brush back thank you Princess, but that seems minor compared to whatever's going on??-, but now she's Very Awake as she looks from Jou, to Red Eyes, to Sera and back to Red Eyes. An eyebrow raises. "And who are you guarding...?"
Because that's very much what it looks like on her end.

Help !
"...Nothin'." He's bad at this. "Jus' talkin' mos'ly. Tryin' t' figure ou' stuff f'r Red-Eyes to do."
Technically not a lie. Finding stuff for Red-Eyes to do just...happens to mean making sure his combined mass with theirs blocks the entire luggage entry.
Which in itself isn't really hard, these doors aren't that wide.
"Why what're you doin'?" A glance toward Jessie. He doesn't know her- question still stands though.

no subject
Yup, just trying to find things for Red-Eyes to do on the train, you know?
[She raises her voice slightly to try and cover up the muffled cry from luggage, all while trying to remain casual and not think about what had to be happening back there.]
We figured we’d come back here since Luggage isn’t quite as busy as the rest of the train, especially at this time.
[She’s stalling.]
no subject
Hey, what’s going on, Conan?
no subject
Nothing much. I just woke up early.
[He had minutes at most before the change started. How could he get her to go away? ]
no subject
Though to her credit, and rather ironically, she’s not bringing up That Topic for once, instead remaining focused on what was going on.]
So, what’s the rush to get back here this early? There’s nothing back here besides triage, dressing, and luggage.
no subject
Of course the lie loses any strength it had as another spasm of pain hits him. Despite efforts to conceal it, he can't stop himself from clutching at the pain in his chest.
no subject
You're not okay! I'm taking you to medical if you can't tell me what's wrong!
[Masumi's serious, too. She will get medical help if Conan can't give a very good reason.]
no subject
Allowing himself to be taken to medical? That would just mean that more people would find out. His preference was to get through this alone, but it all down to damage control now. And that meant keeping the number of people witnessing this to as few as possible.]
Medical won't be able to do anything for me. [He decided to be blunt about it.]
no subject
[There weren’t very many options for what would make Conan try to hide this from her and avoid medical. And Masumi had briefly seen Shinichi in a similar state in Kyoto, but initially hadn’t considered that due to how unlikely it was.
But then again, it wasn’t like there were many other options here.]
So...this is like in Kyoto, when you suddenly looked in pain and left
[Masumi, he won’t remember that.]
no subject
When were we ever in Kyoto together?
no subject
I was on a class trip to Kyoto right before I was brought here. Ran and Shinichi were there too, but he suddenly left before the class was supposed to go back. I tried to follow, but couldn’t find him, and then the class was told not to tell anyone he was at the trip.
[She’s sure Conan can figure out what she’s getting at here.]
no subject
Even if he knew exactly what she was getting at. He grimaces at another spasm of pain, and tries to consider his options.
There weren't many. He makes a play for time.]
Why would I be on Ran's class trip?
no subject
Look, I know you're Shinichi, I've known for a while, and I know that you - the you from my world - had access to some sort of antidote in Kyoto in order to attend the class trip, but I don't know how you got an antidote now. I won't tell anyone if that's what you want, but I'm not going away to let you deal with this alone.
[She's been waiting a while to be this direct about what she knows.]
no subject
As it was, he just slumps as the panicked energy that had been sustaining him drains away.]
In that case, there's not much point in putting up the act any longer. [He blows out his breath in a huff.]
I need privacy. What's about to happen isn't pleasant, and I don't want anyone watching it. I was hoping the baggage car would be empty at this time of day.
no subject
Then you're going to need help making sure people keep out. It's early enough that most people aren't up yet, but I doubt you want someone to walk in on you.
no subject
We need to talk later, but can you do me a favor and take care of that for now? I need to get out of sight before its too late.
[He hunches over as another spasm of pain hits his chest.]
