Happy Birthday, Senku!
Who: OTA
Where: Dining Carriage
When: Jelly 4
What: Prompts are under the cut. Create your own top levels! Tag around!Get more points!
Warnings: more cake than the recommended serving size
Birthday Prep! (OTA except Senku)
Setting up food!
Plenty of people have offered to bring a number of treats - cookies, savory dishes, snacks ... Gen was placing a half-sheet cake, decorated with planets and with 'Happy Birthday Senku' written in frosting on the table. He looked quite pleased with himself, and would help lend a hand with other food.
Setting up decorations!
There were roughly a hundred origami stars to fold, which Gen would spend most of his time doing, especially if he didn't have any help. But after, he'd be stringing them up all around the dining car, creating an effect like a starry sky from the ceiling.
Setting up party favors!
Then, of course, there were paper flower crowns to fold. Gen had no idea how many people would end up coming, so he wanted a fair number - any extras could sit in the Arms Band or up his sleeves as part of a surprise to spring on people later. You never knew when you needed a paper flower crown!
Setting up the escape room!
This is really what Gen hoped he'd get the most help with. He only had so many math tricks up his sleeve, and he was very certain that Senku knew them all already. At least Nita would be lending a hand! Otherwise, Gen was sure any room he'd make, Senku would solve in minutes.
BIRTHDAY PARTY
Greetings!
Gen would greet the newcomer with a bright smile and an origami flower crown - placed right on their head! He'd direct them to the food, and let them know of the escape room upstairs. Have a lovely time!
Food!
Cake! Cookies! Popcorn! There's some spicy, savory food that's been made by other passengers, too. But hey, at least take a slice of cake. That's what this party's all about!
Escape Room!
Featuring math, puns, and clever little questions fellow Voidtrain passengers could come up with. Of course, anyone can enter and leave as they'd like, but perhaps if they look particularly stuck on a problem, another person could help them out?
Birthday Boy!
Somewhere in this mess, Senku would be available to chat with. Probably. He's not really expecting a party, or gifts, or even a kind thank you - but all would be appreciated.

"It's really fascinating, when those books are here, they might be interesting to check out for you if you aren't aware of everything modern medicine came up with."

He nodded. "The books will arrive at the next platform. What do you do with them? Do they go into the train's library, or do you have a separate medical library in the Medical Carriage? Yes, you're right. I should read them myself."

He sighed lightly. "But then again we could be immune, or not, but it would be brutal for someone to present with a problem and have to wait two weeks for treatment, and it could lead to a worsening of a condition, or even something more dire, depending."
"I know there was a bit of discussion, but for now the medical books are still in the medical car." Senku smiled. "I didn't mean that in a bad way, they're just really fascinating to me."

Curufin gave him a sympathetic look. Medical problems were Senku's responsibility, since he had volunteered as a doctor. He'd feel bad if he had a patient and didn't have a remedy for that person's illness. And even if the medicines could be obtained from the train store, there was always a wait. Hence, the importance of having a variety of remedies on hand, so nobody had to wait.
Curufin smiled back at him. "I must have missed the discussion. Some people probably want all the books in the library, but I think it would be good if you had them handy in case you had to look up something really fast. I don't blame you for keeping them in the Medical Car. And don't worry, I didn't take that as a criticism. I know the books are fascinating to you. So naturally, you'd recommend them to someone who likes to collect knowledge -- like me."

"Just a conversation I remember having, but since the books remained where they are, when S'reee asked around, the other doctors must've felt they were better served there." Senku observed. It was probably true, to a point.
He chuckled. "Just checking. I know I don't express myself well. Since you don't know much about it, it might be an interesting read."
He was the kind of person who considered medical textbooks to be light reading for fun.
Want to wrap this thread and catch up in the February platform thread?
The books were probably better kept in the Medical Carriage, and it made sense that the other doctors thought so, too.
Curufin laughed with him. "You express yourself well enough. And you're right, I would be interested in reading some of those books. I could come to the Medical Carriage and borrow a book to read but not take it off the premises. I'll just bring a chair and find a corner where I won't be in the way. I do spend a little of every day reading, so I wouldn't mind a new topic and some new knowledge."
They were in accord, in a way, since Curufin considered engineering books to be light reading.
Yep sounds good, they can ramble on next chance.
"But it's not a terrible idea. You might find it really interesting. Pathogens were my favourite thing to read about."
