There were a lot of things Danny liked about his life here on the train. No ghosts to fight, no ghost hunters hunting him, no classes to worry about failing because he was too busy fighting ghosts and avoiding hunters....

The lack of space wasn't one of them. Flying was one of his favorite things about his powers, and there really wasn't anywhere here that he could push himself into any kind of speed. It really sucked on the days he was feeling a little restless.

Which may explain why he was currently flying laps around the ceiling of the gym car. Upside down.

“No?” Ken seems okay with it, looking a little confused. “That’s how physical attacks from Persona work. I guess since it’s not magic it runs on something else? I have no idea.”

Danny shrugs.

"I don't really get it. Never heard of a persona, you know? It just seems like it must suck a lot if you end up getting hurt every time you fight."

"A Persona is a part of yourself that you can summon to help fight. Or at least, some people can. Most people can't."

"I don't really get it, but it sounds kind of cool? I mean, I just turn into a ghost when I need to fight."

[miseris_socios]

"I mean, I could show you? If you want."

"Sure? I'll try to remember it isn't what it looks like."

He pulls out his Evoker and puts it to his forehead, pulling the trigger. There's the sound of a gunshot and breaking glass, and a creature appears and spins, shocking one of the training dummies before disappearing.

Danny kept in mind what Ken had said before about it not actually being what it looked like. He still can't stop himself from twitching a bit. Spend a year or two saving people, and it was hard to resist the instincts.

"So... I kind of get why people are freaking out a bit?"

The creature thing was super cool, though.

"Yeah. It's just frustrating to have to explain the same thing over and over again." Ken tucks the Evoker back into his pocket, walking over to the dummy to check the damage.

"Have you tried wearing a sign?"

That said, Danny kind of got it. He'd lost count of the times he'd tried to explain what he was to people.

He snorts a little. "I've been thinking about making a sign to put on the hall outside the gym saying that no, it's not a real gun."

"That would either work, or it would make people more worried."

[miseris_socios]

"Maybe, but I can't keep having people try to hit her whenever I'm practicing, because then I get hit."
