3 Kazoo - Adult Ballroom Social and Epic Kids' Game Night

You've seen the flyers. You've heard the announcements. You've ordered additional party reinforcements if you wanted them. Some of you have even helped her to prepare. And now it's finally here - the Adult Ballroom Social that she's been planning these many, many week-and-a-half.

But you wouldn't know it only took that long to throw it together. She's gone all out for this one. Including the wardrobe that's been opened up, there are four cars that have been set aside for tonight. The main ballroom floor is in the non-training gym, which has been cleared and decorated for the occasion. The music is being piped in from the music car, where it's still playing for those who would prefer a more intimate and private setting. Meanwhile, the game room has been set out for the kids who would otherwise be left out of this adult and near-adult event.

Jack is subject to a rather conspicuous appraisal in return, though Rose is careful to keep her thoughts hidden behind a friendly smile.

So this is Handsome Jack in the flesh, so to speak. A bit of a step down from her usual Jack that claims to be handsome, though the hologram part is new... even if the technology is rather primitive. But she shouldn't judge: different times, different standards.

Rose does a little spin, the better to show off the fruits of the dressing car. "Thank you. That's quite a bold choice yourself, Mr Handsome Jack." If her Cockney accent is a touch heavier than usual, it's because she's decided to play.

"Company colors," he explains, a touch of smugness in his voice. "Couldn't resist."

His brows lift at her accent, trying and failing to place it. "You gotta cute voice too. Accents are hot. Damn, Cassie actually did me a solid with this blind date thing, huh? I'm surprised. Thought she hated me."

He snorts, picking up something or other from the snack table and trying it. The face he makes implies the taste is not bad, just unexpected.

Rose smirks; his smugness says he's more than just your average company drone and she can't resist playing dumb and ignoring the implication completely. "And what a good employee you must be, advertising them in another universe. Really, you deserve a raise."

Hm... Does she throw their hostess under the bus? On the one hand, lovely party. On the other...

"Well, she does think I'm the most likely to be able to handle you." She shrugs, a nonchalant thing that says that Cassie's motives mean very little to her. "But maybe that's just the kind of thing you say to the sacrificial lamb." Though wolf in sheep's clothing may be a better descriptor. "We'll see how it goes."
