(open) art day art day!
Who: Open to everyone, come and mingle!
Where: Garden carriage
When: Kazoo 27
What: For today the garden carriage is turned into a place to get creative.
Warnings: There's cakes. And glitter.
Whether or not you heard Romeo and Madoka's announcement, you'll know about it, unless you avoid the garden carriage somehow for the entire day (and then from then on). The changes are simple, but hopefully something to be built on: an outline made in gold paint that takes the shape of a tree with large curling branches that greets the viewer from the longer width of wall, and a fishing net draped down the length of wall by the nearest entrance, with strings hanging off it for decorations to be added to. Posters seem to be all over the carriage, carrying messages in a childish yet neat handwriting, like "Are you having a fun day? Please vote art so we can have do lots more art together!"
Small sitting pillows have been placed around so people aren't sitting on the bed of stones, and the statues once there moved to other parts of the 'garden', leaving them with sounds of the running water to keep them company.
So, just what is there to do?

So, just what is there to do?
THE CRAFTS;
- The group have done their best to get as many art supplies as possible, with two trunks taken from the luggage car, and filled as tidily as possible. Inside one is a variety of papers, from tissue to cardboard, decorated and plain, some that's shiny, and even the kind for origami. There's also some sketchpads set out to the side, for any larger projects.
And in the net trunk is all the rest you'd expect: the fun supplies. Paints, inks, glue, glitter, threads, ribbons, and wooden beads, and even scissors are set inside. Some of those paints? Why, they're even shiny paints, and plenty of them. There are books too, at different crafting levels. From how to make paper cranes, butterflies, flower garlands, and whatever else you might imagine. How about a tree with stars?
Pretend what you want's inside them, and have fun.
Or perhaps you brought your own craft along to the carriage. Whether it's knitting, sewing or anything else creative you'd like to do, there's definitely a place for that as well! It's like there are spots in the carriage that have been left intentionally empty for people to sit down with their own tools and work.
MEMORY WALL;
- Very, very simple folded animals have been put on the corners of where the netting is displayed, stretched out to make the most of the hanging that the netting provides (you have to get creative with what you can buy).
Looking it over, there's already what seems to be names on cards, placed around different parts of the netting. Perhaps you may recognize some of the names as people who have been on the train before, but have since left.
CAKE;
- Of course there's cake. How else would they tempt people to come and sit down? There's one large cake made out of rainbow and sprinkles, and then a collection of cupcakes, all a mix of colours and whatever shakeable edibles has been decided to be plopped on top.
There's also a few plates of simple yet sweet biscuits cut into a variety of shapes (cat heads, dogs, dinosaurs, and even...a train), some with light icing, some not. The quality is about what you'd expect from some kids having fun in the kitchen, and the recipes are simple for it. Don't worry; you might have glitter and sprinkles dropping onto your lap with whatever you pick up, but the shakers were about all anyone went wild with in the kitchen than the baking.
Mami's helped to bring along refreshments in offering different flavours of tea, and there's even a few flavours of coffee to pick from too.
So grab a cuppa, a piece of cake, and have fun pretending you're five and in art class again and create a masterpiece.
Or even show others how to.

"I haven't really tried doing this before? But look how cute it is!"
There was nothing wrong with the fact he enjoyed cute things.

Besides, she knows that Prompto is a nice guy. And relatively gentle, especially by the standards for guys his age. Madoka just grabs a piece of paper, starting to try and fold it into shape.
"You've picked a really difficult one to start with then!" She says, looking at the instructions. "There's so many folds in this one.."
no subject
He glanced at the next fold and began doing it.
"Do you have a favourite animal?"
His was, very unsurprisingly, chocobos.
no subject
Apparently she just said it though since the question initially surprises her a little, but then Madoka slowly hums, deciding to put some thought into the answer.
"Um.. I'm not sure if I have a favourite, but I do like cats.. They're just so cute and fluffy."
no subject
"I'm more of a dog person I think?" Prompto hummed. "I mean, chocobos are my favourite but I couldn't get a chocobo to fit into my apartment at all, ever, they're so big! It would be so unhappy, but I could get a dog someday maybe. I always wanted one!"
no subject
Which, you know, Madoka can respect. You go get that boy if that's where your heart lies, Prompto. Madoka will silently cheer you on. (It's better than marrying a chocobo, anyway. That's got to be illegal.)
"If you want a chocobo though, couldn't you go live somewhere back home you could have one?" It's not like Madoka knows the accurate size of one, but judging by what Prompto is saying now, she's guessing something like an ostrich. "You could have your own chocobo farm!"
no subject
"That would be so cool." Prompto grinned brightly. "It would probably be really fun but I kinda have a job already." He chuckled.
"Guess I'll keep that one. It's not the kind you can quit."
no subject
"Aw, it isn't something you could do on the side either?"
Maybe when things calm down in their world. .. If things calm down in their world? Madoka honestly isn't sure whether they're further along the timeline than the previous versions of them here or not..
"It'd be a little sad if you had to give up too many fun things."
no subject
"I don't think it's sad. I want to protect him." He smiled. "I support him all the way."
no subject
She already feels like the answer to that is yes. If there's anything she knows about Prompto - a thing that's only being confirmed here and now - it's that he's always so nice. So sweet.
Madoka can imagine that he really is fine just seeing Noctis happy.
"It's very sweet of you to be able to be so happy over someone else's happiness, you know.."
no subject
He grinned. "Thank you? I really don't mind though."
no subject
But while Madoka is thinking that, she isn't going to force it at all. After all, it's not really that important.. It's just a compliment towards him, but it's always one she can give to him later as well. Maybe once she's gotten to know this new Prompto a little better.
For now she just smiles.
"Maybe you should make something here today to give to him too then. You know, as a fun gift!"
Even though she's seen Noctis around carriage too, but ssh, she's sure they can keep it a secret from him.
"Unless you wanted to give him some chocobo origami?"
no subject
Prompto pulled the book closer to flip through it.
No, not quite, but a cat with a tiny bird in front of it? Perfect.
"Maybe I can make him this!"
no subject
"Oh, that one is kind of cute." At least it's not a real cat attacking a poor little bird, so that means it's okay, right.. It's just paper.
And if Noctis really likes cats, then she imagines he'd like this as well. It really does look like a cat.
"Look at the way its tail sits up like that! I think this one would be a good choice."
no subject
"He'll be really surprised, I think."
no subject
After all, it's not every day that someone receives an origami gift.. Let alone an origami cat! It's such a cute design that Madoka doesn't think anyone could dislike getting such an adorable gift from someone they cared about.
"After all.. aside from it just looking pretty, it also is something that shows you put a lot of effort into it! Like all your care and affection for him is in the little paper kitty!"
no subject
"But I know he'll like it a lot anyway."
