What: For today the garden carriage is turned into a place to get creative.
Warnings: There's cakes. And glitter.

Whether or not you heard Romeo and Madoka's announcement, you'll know about it, unless you avoid the garden carriage somehow for the entire day (and then from then on). The changes are simple, but hopefully something to be built on: an outline made in gold paint that takes the shape of a tree with large curling branches that greets the viewer from the longer width of wall, and a fishing net draped down the length of wall by the nearest entrance, with strings hanging off it for decorations to be added to. Posters seem to be all over the carriage, carrying messages in a childish yet neat handwriting, like "Are you having a fun day? Please vote art so we can have do lots more art together!"

Small sitting pillows have been placed around so people aren't sitting on the bed of stones, and the statues once there moved to other parts of the 'garden', leaving them with sounds of the running water to keep them company.

So, just what is there to do?

THE CRAFTS;

The group have done their best to get as many art supplies as possible, with two trunks taken from the luggage car, and filled as tidily as possible. Inside one is a variety of papers, from tissue to cardboard, decorated and plain, some that's shiny, and even the kind for origami. There's also some sketchpads set out to the side, for any larger projects.

And in the net trunk is all the rest you'd expect: the fun supplies. Paints, inks, glue, glitter, threads, ribbons, and wooden beads, and even scissors are set inside. Some of those paints? Why, they're even shiny paints, and plenty of them. There are books too, at different crafting levels. From how to make paper cranes, butterflies, flower garlands, and whatever else you might imagine. How about a tree with stars?

Pretend what you want's inside them, and have fun.

Or perhaps you brought your own craft along to the carriage. Whether it's knitting, sewing or anything else creative you'd like to do, there's definitely a place for that as well! It's like there are spots in the carriage that have been left intentionally empty for people to sit down with their own tools and work.

MEMORY WALL;

Very, very simple folded animals have been put on the corners of where the netting is displayed, stretched out to make the most of the hanging that the netting provides (you have to get creative with what you can buy).

Looking it over, there's already what seems to be names on cards, placed around different parts of the netting. Perhaps you may recognize some of the names as people who have been on the train before, but have since left.

CAKE;

Of course there's cake. How else would they tempt people to come and sit down? There's one large cake made out of rainbow and sprinkles, and then a collection of cupcakes, all a mix of colours and whatever shakeable edibles has been decided to be plopped on top.

There's also a few plates of simple yet sweet biscuits cut into a variety of shapes (cat heads, dogs, dinosaurs, and even...a train), some with light icing, some not. The quality is about what you'd expect from some kids having fun in the kitchen, and the recipes are simple for it. Don't worry; you might have glitter and sprinkles dropping onto your lap with whatever you pick up, but the shakers were about all anyone went wild with in the kitchen than the baking.

Mami's helped to bring along refreshments in offering different flavours of tea, and there's even a few flavours of coffee to pick from too.

So grab a cuppa, a piece of cake, and have fun pretending you're five and in art class again and create a masterpiece.

Or even show others how to.

[Asriel looks a little surprised, then smiles.]

Yeah, you too! Humans are fine and everything, but gosh, there's a lot of them around. I'd never seen so many before I got here.

[sos_pilot]

You're telling me! I never even heard of humans before I came here.

[saveas]

Really?

[Asriel looks like he can't decide if that's a good thing or not.]

It's just... [...um. He'd say monster, but she probably isn't one really.] ...you?

[sos_pilot]

Not exactly. My world is full of different looking folks - ducks, parrots, roosters, chickens, beagles, pigs... just no humans.

[ so, yes and no? ]

Is that any easier? Like, are all the people nice to each other?

[sos_pilot]

Well... we try to be? I mean, you're gunna have jerks and bad guys in every world, regardless of what they are. Not everyone will be nice - so you gotta appreciate the ones who are all the more.

[saveas]

Yeah, but...it's good that it's not...all the ducks versus all the buzzards, or something like that.

[Doesn't end well! Ever! Although at least there wouldn't be such a big magical power imbalance between them, Asriel guesses.]

[sos_pilot]

Nope! My uncle has some buzzards in his company. Annoying old guys, but they're good at their job, and do what they can for him and his employees.

[ *COUGHS IN THIRD SEASON KNOWLEDGE* ]

Yeah...

[Asriel frowns for a moment over his drawing. He's started a new one, with childish but decent depictions of two larger monsters visibly like himself - Mom and Dad. It feels...weird. Good and bad in different ways, you know? He wants a picture of Chara too. But if he puts them in, he'll have to put himself, and he doesn't really like that. Maybe he'll just draw Frisk, and do another picture for the dead kids.]

In my world, humans hate monsters. Some of them are good, but there was still a whole war and everything.

[sos_pilot]

... That sucks.

[ Feels bad, man. She frowns, unsure of how to comfort him. Maybe taking it one step at a time... ]

... So, being here, on this train that's like, 99% humans must have felt pretty weird at first, huh?

[saveas]

...it was pretty scary.

[He admits with a fair amount of tension in his frame still. He's quick to add:]

I don't hate them or anything! My best friend was a human! But they've...done some really bad things, too. I never saw a grown-up one before. [Well, he did the one time, but you know.]

[sos_pilot]

[ A second of hesitation, but she reaches out to gently touch his arm. ]

Hey... you don't have to talk about this if you don't want to. I don't you to feel forced about your past. I know what that's like, and it's not great.

[saveas]

[Asriel arches an eyebrow down at the arm for a moment.]

Yeah, okay. [He wasn't alive during the war anyway, but...well.] It's not a big deal. I think I'm kinda used to all the humans here now, anyway. I still wish they weren't so tall, but that's...

[It is what it is, you know?]

[sos_pilot]

[ That makes her laugh, and she pulls back. ]

I know exactly what you mean! It's a miracle my neck isn't always sore, all the times I have to look up! Ducks are pretty short back home, but at least we had other ducks!

[saveas]

[He's sort of meant more because having them tower over him is kinda triggering but you know what! Why's he gotta be like this all the time!!! Asriel smiles hesitantly.]

Boss monsters like me get really big, but... [He's dead and he'll never grow up!] ...I haven't hit my growth spurt. My horns aren't even growing in yet.

[sos_pilot]

[ The wording makes her raise an eyebrow. ]

Wait... boss monster? Is that what you're called?

[saveas]

Yeah? It's just a type of monster. Like a skeleton monster or a Whimsun or something.

[sos_pilot]

Dude, that's...

SO COOL! It's like you're straight out of a video game! Man, "boss monster"... I totally love it.

[saveas]

[Asriel giggles.]

We are a little bit stronger than most other monsters. The royal family's always been boss monsters.

[sos_pilot]

So you're not only a boss monster, you're a prince? Daaaang, son! Toss it up!

[ She holds up her hands, indicating high-fives. ]

[saveas]

Oh!

[He, uh, didn't really mean to tell her that? He hasn't been telling people generally, thus far - it's not like it matters. But if it doesn't matter, then Asriel guesses it's not a big deal if some people do know, either.]

Uh, yeah, I guess! [high-five!]

[sos_pilot]

[ after both fives have been made high, she playfully nudges him with her elbow. ]

So, does this mean I gotta bow in your presence, do all that fancy "your royal highness" stuff?

[saveas]

[Asriel snorts.]

Pfff, no. Nobody does that. There's not that many monsters anyway, everyone kinda knows each other.

[sos_pilot]

Good, 'cause I wasn't gunna do it anyway. We're all on equal ground on and off this train, far as I'm concerned.

Yeah - it doesn't really matter here anyway, right?

[Not like there's any other monsters around!]
