It's a hoverboard innit?

Who: Dennis Severs, Lan Sizhui and open to all others!
Where: The gym, laundry
When: Llama 16-21st before the event
What: Just Dennis faffing about with his new hoverboard in the gym trying to learn how to use it, practicing his baby sword skills and doing his Purple chore of laundry.
Warnings: None that I can think of, but if anything comes up during a thread I'll slap a CW in the subject line.


Of Hoverboards and Swords:

For the first handful of days of the second half of the month of Llama, Dennis can be found in the gym most likely falling on his ass over and over trying to figure out how to use the hoverboard he'd politely borrowed from the world they'd been on previously. That or practicing his form with a practice sword. He's getting lessons from Inigo, but he does try to do some stuff on his own. The more he does it the more it'll just be muscle memory and not feel as weird. Much more natural.

Still feels funny holding a sword in his hands, but one day! As for the hoverboard... he's making progress, mostly it's just balance issues at this point. Staying on it while it does it's name sake. Hovers. So someone, anyone, will undoubtedly catch Dennis either landing on his ass for losing his balance and very gracefully doubtful stumbling off and half tripping on his own feet before catching himself. There's probably a frustrated curse or two in there.


Boy Meets Boy - Laundry Edition: Closed to Lan Sizhui deferences

He hadn't had a chance to do much laundry before the mission had kicked off earlier in the month so here he was trying to make up for lost chore time. Though it seems someone else has the same idea. As he enters he can hear someone listening to music...? Or wait, playing an instrument even?

Dennis doesn't expect to see Sizhui there, especially not him playing said instrument. It's rather large, but sounds so beautiful. For a moment he just listens, standing there watching as his friend strums his fingers across the strings gently. It's easy to get lost in it really, so much so he's not sure how long he stands there before speaking up.

"S'really pretty." Dennis speaks up, almost feeling bad for interrupting the song Sizhui is playing. If it even is one, maybe he's just freestyling?

At the suggestion of a dog he'll make a little face before catching himself. Whoops. Look no offense to dogs, except all the offense, but he doesn't like you.

"Tiger sounds real fun, could paint some stripes on my face." He gives Sizhui a nudge back, "Pretty sure tigers would eat a little rabbit like you." He'll smirk, thinking he's pretty cheeky, of course while giving all the pets. We can't forget the pets!

Don't worry, surely no dogs will take any offense, but Sizhui on the other hand wrinkles his brow and tilts his head with concern. He won't ask, just... alright then, no dogs allowed, that's understandable. (He's got two fathers aboard the train that don't like them either, so it's fine!)

“I could! And whiskers too.” Different from his own bunny ones, but still cute nonetheless. He glances sideways at the returned bump, playfully sticking his tongue-tip out then grinning afterward. “The tigers have to catch me first.” Xixue's happy to accept more petting, slowly lifting into Dennis's hand, tiptoeing closer until she can nudge Sizhui's side with a paw. There's an ah! of surprise, he averts his attention downward and moves his left hand to also pet her. “Somebody is needy today,” he murmurs, all affectionate teasing.
