I think I know what I'm living for now
Who: Mono and anyone about!
Where: ANY! Children care not for your privacy when they travel via ICP
When: Early weeks of Llama up to the Event
What: A monthly Mono catchall; indulge him with an "interview", help him understand Gravity, or make your own top levels for 4B roommate banter
Warnings: Nope!
[The mission may not have gone that well, it gave Mono a lot to think about. One thing it did solidify however was how many people on this train were willing to look out for him. Since he arrived Mono had spent his days convincing himself mostly of what was safe and charting places to hide. It never occurred to him... to really get to know the other passengers. Time for that to change.]
A.) [It's your time to shine!]
[Mono may not know people, but he does know media and the way to get people to use words on the telly was always with one of these things! The moment he saw the prop microphone stashed in the music car, the boy knew he needed it. It's unplugged now, the disconnected chord dangling behind him as he traipses through the carriages.
Whoever you are, whatever you're doing, expect a determined little tug on your pant leg or similar noise to draw your attention before the disconnected prop mic is held up as high as Mono can reach. He wears a pasted on, scribbled-in paper tie and a scrap that is probably supposed to be a nametag that just says: Иews]
"Psst. Hey!"
[He shakes the prop with emphasis, staring expectantly. Whether it's who you are, what you are currently doing, or where you're from Mono wants to hear about it!
Either way, he doesn't seem to be leaving until he gets that interview! Satisfy a child's curiosity?]
B.) [It's raining kids | General 4B roommate mingle]
[It's not always the smoothest ride on the voidtrecker. Though Mono had been grateful to have a top bunk when he first arrived for the added security, there were certain pitfalls to the bunk assignment. Like now.]
"Wh-- whoa-ah!?!" [When the train sometimes lurched forward on the tracks and Mono's light weight sent the kid hurtling down, first thing in the morning. It's definitely not the first time this has happened. How accustomed to catching him are you at this point?
If it's not on accident, sometimes it's just on purpose; it is easiest to hop down on a willing passenger while they open the door for you rather than trying to leave to get breakfast on your own, after all. Though Sam's absence was felt, every new addition to the sleeper made 4B feel a little more like home. A feather, a bag made from colorful origami paper, a few assorted stones and a mini white handkerchief cloak lay arranged in full display on Mono's spacious room of a bed.
Have you added anything to their little space? What way have you claimed your own area to make the room feel more like home?]
C.) [Manadrive Mishaps]
[Lightning had granted him a sort of device before last mission, his own little piece of 'magic'-- or was this what Entrapta called 'science?'-- as it were. It had been such an overwhelming world, however, the pint-sized passenger barely had time to practice with the intimidating and confusing object. Now that it's finally time for some downtime, Mono feels eager enough to have another go.
Connecting a sensor to his hand and the rest of the contraption to his back Mono studies the instructions.]
"Clap on.." [It takes a few tries of quietly hitting his hands together. It doesn't help when everything about one's home environment encouraged being as quiet as possible, nor is it likely calibrated for one his size.]
"Clap on?" [Nothing.] "Claaaap. Onnn--" [At first only his bag starts floating and then--]
"Clap off! Clap off!" [It's working! A little too well. Mono can't quite seem to trigger it into stop working! He zooms upward, the drive intending to flip his default center of gravity. A little help? Or maybe you're just wondering why a piece of nori fell on your head and didn't expect the answer to be a bag-headed child looking down at you from the cieling. This is going to take a lot of tries.]

You bet she says this with absolute gusto. ]
This is Della Duck, reporting to you live from the Training Car! When you're a seasoned adventurer like I am, a good exercise routine is necessary for keeping off the pounds, and keeping on the muscle! ... Although seeing how easily everyone could lift me in that last mission, maybe having both wouldn't be so bad.
A!
"And! What--" [Hang on, look at the notes, look at the notes--]
"Advice! Do you have. Forrrr... Viewers?" [Of which there are none, because it's just them. And there is no camera.]
"For. Um. That?"

There is an exercise regiment for everyone - don't give up when you don't think the one you found is working. And never be afraid to ask for help! We're all in this together!

Madoka isn't too sure what she's looking at as she stares down at Mono. Sure, she recognizes him, but somewhere between his little outfit and the prop microphone, Madoka has absolutely no clue what's going on.
But it's not like she's just going to ignore him now after encouraging him the previous times they met, so she squats down to be on a slightly more even level with him, blinking curiously. ]
Um.. what is it..?
A!
"Um. Like. Liiiike." [Mono grabs the notecards he brought and begins shift through them.]
"What's. Your na--" [Wait. He knows that part.]
"What. Do you do?"
no subject
[ She repeats the question. Slowly. Kind of confused.
Mostly since she doesn't quite get that this is some sort of interview until she spots those notecards he's holding. And even then she's not quite sure why he seems like he's interviewing her, but maybe she'll figure it out if she just answers his questions? It's Mono, so it's not as if she doesn't trust him.. ]
Um, I.. I'm a passenger here on the train..? Or do you mean back home?

So after a brief moment's hesitation, Hera smiles at him.]
Well hello there.
A!
"This! This is." [He tries to gesture to the mic. Hang on, he's fallen too off script.]
"It's. News time. So who, um. What's uh, your name and. And team?"

[Rich is quite surprised to be interrupted on his walk to the dining car, but when he sees the tiny little friend who's appeared in his vision, he doesn't think he can just move on and pretend he didn't see anything. Besides, it's kind of adorable, watching him struggle to hold up the toy mic.
Rich kneels down and takes the microphone gently away from the child.]
Testing, testing, 1, 2, 1, 2! Is this thing on?
A!
"Um." [Mono looks around unwittingly. He can make it work! Maybe. The child looks to the nearest ICP and it hauntingly springs to life in an intense blast of blue static as he stares. He attempts to pick up and drag the chord closer to the 'power source' but it won't reach. Also, you know, it's probably not meant to plug into an ICP.]

"Hello," she says, looking around curiously at the microphone.
(She'd seen that before in the music room, hadn't she?)
"Was there something you wanted?"
A
"Interview!" [Mono proclaims proudly, rising to his tippy toes to get the very unplugged mic closer for her. That's the name of the game. By now he's got at least a few times of 'gathering the news' below his belt; slowly but surely it's getting easier to figure out what questions to ask.]
"Do you. Have a favorite spot. On the train?" [And, you know, a name is good to learn too.]

A floating she assumed child with a bag on their head. Looks like they might need a bit of help, but Rapunzel had no idea what was even going on at the moment. Why were they floating? How would one then get them down?
So many questions.]
You need help getting down right?
C!
"Uh." [He wants to deny it, it's not learning if someone else just does it for him, right? But he's also fairly sure this is not the intended outcome.]
"Gotta. Supposed to. Clap." [He tries again, but his tiny hands barely make a sound. His feet at least manage to solidly plant on the ceiling, though that only puts him even further away.]

[Soldat reaches up to catch Mono's little foot, baffled by the weird floating, but willing to bring him back down to earth. As it were. That's not something the kid could do before, was it...?]
C!
"Trying. Lightning's. Magiciennce." [He tries to swim in place to help aid the motion, but really the weight of the arm grabbing his foot is already enough to help him drift down like a helium balloon.]

[That is, until he feels a tug on his pants and looks down to see a very small child holding a microphone.]
[...okay, that is adorable. Siebren greets him with a smile.]
Can I help you?
A! :D
"Would you! Uh. Like to. To tell the um. The viewers what you're doing?"
[Inquiring minds want to know! Like his.]

Oh! Hello.
[ He greets the boy politely, and gives the microphone a curious look.]
What's this?
A! Yayyy I was hoping to tag you again. So sorry my intro fizzled out
"Doing news!" [Mono strains to lift the mic as high as it can go. Are you ready to give an exclusive, stranger?]
"Gotta interview!"
No worries!

[But, thinking about it, the octogirl is a tad confused. There wasn't a train news reporting service. Not one that she knows about.]
[Still, this seemed innocent enough.] Yes? What is it?
