What: Wen Sizhui about and interacting with people as he tries to get back into the swing of things.

Kitchens
There is a sense of calm when he goes through with the meal preparation of the month. The task is familiar enough that it makes him smile. Sometimes one needed the familiar motions of chopping, preparing, and cooking to help them feel centered again. He hears a clatter and looks up from where he's washing dishes with a warm smile.

"Oh! Were you looking for me?"


Quiet room
Sizhui takes a deep breath in then releases that same breath out, slow and steady as he settles into a meditation practice that Hanguang Jun had taught him since he was a young boy. His eyes slowly close. Another breath in, breath out.

The door slides open and Sizhui doesn't move from his place, instead remaining calm and smiling softly as his meditation is walked in on.


Spending time with brother
Sizhui makes his way through his brother's usual haunts to see if he could find Sizhui. There were quite a few things they needed to talk about. He pokes his head around the corner.

"Ah, didi?" he calls out. "Are you here?"


shovel talk with Dennis
Someone else he wanted to talk to was his friend Dennis. Well. His friend for now. Depending on how things go, he may gain another brother soon enough. Though he wonders if Dennis truly knows what it means to be invovled with a Lan. He only knows from the stories he's heard from Xian-ge and Hanguang Jun.

"Dennis?"

He nods, smiling gently at the thought of Hanguang Jun and Xian-ge figuring it out. He always thought they had figured it out a long time ago. Though the first few days in their new home had meant that Hanguang Jun and Xian-ge moved around each other a little awkwardly.

"I believe you will figure it out."

Yes, he would imagine that they would have been moving awkwardly around each other at first. He had always felt a little awkward being WuXian at first but now it was becoming more familiar to be around him.

"Thank you. I believe we will as well."

[wenyuan]

"Hanguang Jun?"

Sizhui fidgets a little. He puts the knife away and sets whatever trash in the trash before looking at the man that is his father from a different world.

"Does your Sizhui hug people still?"

A strange question to ask.

WangJi watched as he put everything down, curious as what the question was. When he asked, a faint smile did cross his face.

"He does. He is more selective than he was when he was younger."

Aka, no hugging random people.

Hanguang Jun is not a stranger. He makes sure his hands are dry and clean before making his way around and hugging the man, holding him tight as he does whenever he hugged his own Hanguang Jun back home. They smell and feel similar but not quite the same.

Perhaps because his own had lived with them for nearly twenty years.

WangJi's smile became more pronounced at that point as he came over and hugged him. Of course, he put his arms around him as well, hugging him back. He wasn't quite his son, but he felt that it was nitpicking to try and come up with the reasons why other than the train was a strange place. He was his son as far as he was concerned.

The hug is different but no less familiar. After a little, he lets go with a smile.

"Thank you, Hanguang Jun."

"Of course. It is nice to do that sometimes."

No one could say that he was overly touchy-feely, but he would hug his son if he wanted to. It was only right and then they both knew that they were loved and supported.

[wenyuan]

"Then this Hanguang Jun could seek me out if he ever wants another hug," he beams.

[achickenformylove]

"Thank you. And you can as well."

Since he would never refuse his son a hug.

[wenyuan]

He lets him go and bows respectfully.

"...do you miss him?"

Whether he talks about Xian-ge or his own Sizhui, that remains to be seen.

WangJi released him as well when Sizhui let him go, giving him a nod back in response.

"I do. I miss him. I miss both of them."

So yes, he missed both Wei WuXian and Lan Sizhui.

[wenyuan]

"Perhaps you'll get to see them again. Whether they come here or you return home," he offers. Sizhui smiles to himself. "Hanguang Jun never really left for very long if he had to go somewhere without Xian-ge and I."

[achickenformylove]

"I am certain that I will see them again." There was no doubt in his mind that he would see them again, either here or back in his own world. "If I had the choice, I wouldn't leave either you or Wei WuXian alone either."

[wenyuan]

He smiles. That certainty has always been so settling to be a part of.

"Do you have a rabbit warren, Hanguang Jun? Ah, back home. I know that you keep rabbits here too."

He pets the little one that seems to pause in his chewing to glare up at him.

He nodded his head. "I do. On the back mountain in the Cloud Recesses."

He smiled faintly at the rabbit reacting to the petting.

[wenyuan]

"Do you?" He brightens. "I'm noticing that...the Hanguang Jun and Xian-ge that I've met here aren't very different than the ones I know back home. Ah but the Xian-ge who--"

He gestures to the top of his head to indicate ears.

"Looks so much like Mo Xuanyu."

"Hmm... It seems that it is one of the differences as I understand it. One of the WuXians still has his own body from home despite everything that happened. The one that I knew, he was killed and regained his life due to Mo Xuanyu sacrificing himself. So he is in Mo Xuanyu's body. Even I did not recognize him at first."
