What: Nozomi doing random things through the first few days.

Nozomi sighed a little as she made her way through the train. With Hera now in her room, she was more than certain that her lazy days were coming to a quicker end. She shouldn't fret, though - it's just that she cares, right? Right! So, Nozomi's going to focus on other things!

Kitchen

If Nozomi was correct, hitting their next stop meant that it was time for her date with Kairi! But, wait, was she going to cook or did she want her to? Oh, she wished she had got that all settled before today! No matter, she'll head for the kitchen to make dessert! She'd been working on making cakes for awhile, so why not a cake to celebrate the day?

So, Nozomi's going to do just that, getting the ingredients needed to make the cake... hopefully Kairi won't show up?

Lab carriage

Nozomi wasn't a scientist. She wasn't even a magical scientist. But, she wanted to do something to help herself and the others out. She happened to find Entrapta's old notes as well as the CureMo she lent her all that time ago. The notes? Couldn't make heads or tails of it.

Thus, she took the spare CureMo and began to fiddle with it. She wasn't like Usagi, but darn it, she was going to make herself useful here, seeing what she could do.

Caution: magical girl at work.

Greenhouse

All that work deserves a little bit of a break. Thus, Nozomi decided to retreat towards the greenhouse. She's found out long ago that being with nature was actually quite calming. It was actually quite fun.

Thus, Nozomi decided to return here and let her nature powers take over, allowing the plants around her surround her as some sort of protective blanket. It actually felt cooler being wrapped up, but maybe that's because of where she had been.

“I wish I knew.” Nozomi admitted. “It really is creepy, to be honest.”

"I was just thinkin' that," Nell said. "Why should it care where we sleep? And how does it move people? Do you think it moves yu if you stay up all night somewhere other than your room?"

Nozomi shivered at that thought. "It... it might..." If it was moving them, who was it?

Nell noticed the shiver and was feeling a little shivery herself. "Part of me really wants to try it out and see what happens and the rest of me wants to make super sure I'm in bed early every night!"

"Ahhhh, I know the feeling. I feel like wanting to find out what'll happen and yet..." Nozomi said, shivering again. She's getting so creeped out here!

"Okay, happy thoughts now," Nell said, "Or we're both gonna end up hiding in our rooms!"

Nozomi laughed and nodded. "Okay, that's a better idea!" she said. As she laughed, she hugged Neil, even if the other couldn't feel it.

Nell had received far too few hugs in her life, so she was always a bit surprised, but grateful to receive one from a friend - something else she'd had far too few of. "Okay, best memory?" she suggested.

"Best memory?" Nozomi thought about it a bit. "Gosh, I hate to sound like such a suck up, but certainly meeting you! I'd probably still be stuck in the rose vines to this day if you hadn't shown up and told me how to use my powers."

Nell blushed. "Oh my," she said. "I surely am honored. I wouldn't ever expect to be somebody's best memory!"

“The worlds and the people I’ve met, you’re one of the few that have stood out and made such memories with me!” Nozomi said.

"Pretty sure I ain't never been someone's best memory before," Nell said very softly, slipping further into the church speak. "I didn't do nothing that someone else might'n have done. But I do appreciate the kindness. I'll always remember this."

“How about you?” Nozomi asked. “What’s your favorite memory?” Now she was curious.

"I think..." Nell kind of felt bad, not saying that her time with Nozomi had been the best, though she truly enjoyed the times they had spent together. "I think it was early on in my marriage, when I was feeling all lost and kind of abandoned by my family, and my husband's old bird dog just kinda came in and hopped up where I was and gave me a lick and settled in with his head on my lap. I hugged all over him and cried a mite too, but I just felt that at least something loved me and it made me so happy."

“Dogs are such sweethearts.” Nozomi said. “They know when someone is hurting and want to make that person feel better…”

She let out a soft sigh. “Now, you have more people who love you.”

Nell teared up a little. "You'un is very sweet to say so. Thank you."

She sighed. "I do miss my dogs."

Nozomi smiled warmly at the thanks, though Neil missing her dogs got her an idea.

"Have you asked the train?"

"Asked the train?" Nell said curiously.

“Yeah! We have points we can spend on those terminals and we can ask for certain things in exchange for those points!”

"Oh..." Nell had to think that through. "I knew I had points I just wasn't quite sure what they were for."

She looked at Nozomi. "I could truly get a dog?"

"Uh-huh. You really could." Nozomi said, nodding.

Nell's face brightened at the thought of having a dog again, then fell a little. "I don't know," she said. "It wouldn't be one of my dogs. They... they were killed shortly before I ended up here. And I don't think it would be fair to have a dog in a place like this. Where he couldn't run outside or have freedom. I'd hate to have any dog be unhappy just to make me happier."

“Oh, I’m… I’m sorry…” Nozomi said, her own heart sinking. “I never thought of that. I…”

"No, no," Nell said quickly. "It was a good idea and I'm glad you'un thought of it."

She considered for a moment, sitting silently in the greenery.

"What about cats? Can you get one of those as well? They're much more independent and they'd prob'ly love exploring the train."

“I think so, yes!” Nozomi said, nodding. “I think it would work wonders!”
