Winter Wonderland [Event]

”Good Morning passengers. Today is day Twenty Four of the month of Catfish. You may wish to look out of the window.”

As passengers wake in their beds they will indeed notice something different about the light. If they look out of the window, instead of the ever changing void they will see white slopes of mountains, flakes of snow alling down around them and frost covered trees zipping past the windows. If they glance at the ICP on the table they will see a message.

Investigating the dressing cart they will find the drawers and cupboards unlocked once again. However, instead of the fantasy-esque clothing of world #25768 they will find thick winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves. There are heavy fur lined boots and even some ice skates.

Entering the garden carriage they will see that the glass dome of the roof has opened, leaving the carriage exposed to a bright blue sky. Any nonsense of the past few weeks has vanished, leaving the carriage pristine. Not that that is easy to notice as it is covered in a thick layer of snow. The paths are clearer, a light dusting of snow but easy to talk through. Around the paths the drifts are high, perfect for snowman building or a snowball fight.

The streams and the pond in the centre are solid ice. Anyone brave enough to try to find the ice holds their weight for ice skating.

And the ICP message was correct. There is hot chocolate in the stores.

There was a moment where time seemed to comically stand still before all of the minions began to hurl snowballs at Prisoner. The first one landed, and then he started moving like a champion-level DDR player dancing on dual pads. There were jumps, and dodges, and...

Fuck this.

The charm tied to Prisoner's bracelet turned into the actual war spear and he used it to shred snowballs coming at him as he ran for cover. The spear turned back into the little bracelet charm as he jumped behind the snow drift. He made one (1) snowball and packed it extra tight, then popped up and lobbed it at the floating book specifically, willing to accept whatever fire the minions had for him now.

With a soggy smack, the book took a snowball to the face and went spinning end over end into the snow drift behind it. At the same time a hail of snowballs descended like rain onto the whatever-it-was, arced to clear the drift and drop on his head by the minions who just darn well didn't care what happened to the Overlord.

Prisoner watched all of the snowballs as they arced above him started to rain down. There was no avoiding this inevitability: hitting the book was worth it. The snow rained down and Prisoner didn't even try to dodge them as they all found their mark. The fire went out and the body fell into the snow drift. The ending was entirely worth it.

...Except the body stood up some five seconds later and the head caught alight again, with Prisoner making a snowball and throwing it towards one of the minions good naturedly, carefully poking above the snowdrift to see if he could locate all of the minions this time.

"I did flaming hair way cooler," the book grumbled. Of course, the minions were undeterred; they kept scooping and lobbing snow, though with no coordination now. Really, they just seemed to be having a good time!

There was probably no doubt that this book did flaming hair way cooler, especially given that Prisoner didn't have hair and the fire was just his head, but this book was also a book. So what did having flaming hair have to do with being a book?

Prisoner danced around the snowballs (he probably threw a few at the minions as well) and made his way to the book. Could you help a book up? He didn't know. But he tried. He tried to help the book up.

"What the -- hey! No handling the merchandise!"

Protestations aside, Zetta had no way to stop the guy from hefting him. The Sacred Tome was quite heavy, but not impossible to lift -- that was a rule, the same way for every person no matter how strong.

Prisoner dropped the book after an attempt to lift it, though it was hard to say if it was because of the deceptive weight of the book or because of the yelling. He put his hands on his hips as if pouting at the book, the moment ruined with a dodge of a snowball that came flying right at his head.

Prisoner made a shrug at Zetta. With the hands on his hips it may be Prisoner asking what the book's problem was.

"What?" The book didn't quite tumble into the snow, instead shuddering as Zetta caught himself with his own power, then floated back into the air. "It's a snowball fight, I don't need a reason!"
