Winter Wonderland [Event]

”Good Morning passengers. Today is day Twenty Four of the month of Catfish. You may wish to look out of the window.”

As passengers wake in their beds they will indeed notice something different about the light. If they look out of the window, instead of the ever changing void they will see white slopes of mountains, flakes of snow alling down around them and frost covered trees zipping past the windows. If they glance at the ICP on the table they will see a message.

Investigating the dressing cart they will find the drawers and cupboards unlocked once again. However, instead of the fantasy-esque clothing of world #25768 they will find thick winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves. There are heavy fur lined boots and even some ice skates.

Entering the garden carriage they will see that the glass dome of the roof has opened, leaving the carriage exposed to a bright blue sky. Any nonsense of the past few weeks has vanished, leaving the carriage pristine. Not that that is easy to notice as it is covered in a thick layer of snow. The paths are clearer, a light dusting of snow but easy to talk through. Around the paths the drifts are high, perfect for snowman building or a snowball fight.

The streams and the pond in the centre are solid ice. Anyone brave enough to try to find the ice holds their weight for ice skating.

And the ICP message was correct. There is hot chocolate in the stores.

Raven shrugged, while moving some snow closer so Madoka could continue to sculpt and reinforce the windows to the snow cave. "I'm used to it, and I had the best training available." Mostly because there hadn't been a choice...

"Still.."

Although she doesn't stop working with the snow, Madoka's voice trails off for a moment. It's hard for her to go against what other people say, even slightly, but she feels like this is important enough that she has to try regardless.

"Being used to things.. is not always a good thing, I think. It can be good if it's helping you get through things alright, but it still sounds like someone has to settle for a bad situation. I don't want anyone to be stuck in a situation like that." Even if having to deal with bad things sometimes is just realistic.

"You've been so nice, you deserve much better than that."

Raven is quiet for a bit, honestly touched by the other's words and her belief in them. What does she even say to that? "Thank you." She finally manages, soft and slightly shy.

She almost replies that the other doesn't need to thank her, but realises just in time before that habit kicks in that it's kind of dismissive of how genuine that thanks was, so Madoka manages to swallow in the words at the last moment.

Instead she's just glad if what she said meant anything to Raven at all, really.

"I know there's no changing the past, but.. let's make things better as much as possible from now on, okay? If you ever need anything at all, you can ask me!"

"The same goes for you as well. Besides just that I'm helping you try to learn to shield and meditate." It meant a lot, Madoka--even if Raven won't let on how much it did.
