The Yeetening
Who: Bucky and anyone else
Where: Various cars throughout the train -- anywhere Bucky is likely to find a few quiet moments to accidentally nod off.
When: Domino 13 through 15
What: Bucky's pretty sure he's gotten sick, but good luck getting him to accept help. Eventually, he starts accidentally nodding off in various public places, but his startle response poses a problem for anyone who's thinking about waking him.
Warnings: Physical violence, insomnia, anxiety and PTSD symptoms, there will definitely be some cursing.
~!~!~!~!~!~
Get Well Soon | Domino 13
Even though everyone on the train has been better since before the mission, Bucky is absolutely certain he's come down with whatever it was Peter had. It's a fitting punishment for accidentally helping spread it, but doesn't realize it's just sleep deprivation. For now, he's camped out in the game car, nursing some peppermint tea and staring blankly at whatever or whoever is in front of him. At least until the train sends him to his bed for morning announcements.
Eat Your Yeets | Domino 14-15
Bucky is asleep. Somewhere on the train, in a public or semi-public space, he is dozing. He's seated himself in a corner, slouched down in a bean bag chair, or maybe even nodded off still on his feet. Wherever he is, his eyes are closed and his brow is furrowed, but that's the only clue you're going to get about the content of his nightmares. By morning on the 15th, there is a paper stuck out of his hand, with "DO NOT TOUCH ME" written in bold, black letters.
Do you dare to disturb him?
[OoC: Please include which day you're using for this prompt as Bucky's stress level will increase over time, and that determines how he responds to being woken up after the initial flinch reaction.]

"Sure, go ahead."
He's staring at the other - mostly looking like he's just focusing on the game, but Inigo is 100% trying to determine how likely it is that Bucky is going to fall asleep before he's even halfway through that hand.

He's got maybe five rounds in him. Maybe.

"Alright then, my turn to ask. Do you have any.. hm.." Inigo, however, is putting way too much thought into it for a game he's playing against someone who could straight up faceplant onto the table any moment now.. "How about any eights?"

He grabs a card off the pile, putting it in his hand. Inigo is even making sure to be slightly more quick about it than usually, since Bucky looks like he'll be bored to literal sleep if Inigo takes his sweet time.
"Not the one I was looking for. Your turn."

Bucky shakes his head, and it serves to put a little more pep in him as he eyes his own cards. “Do you have a... five?” He'd almost asked for a two again, but remembered at the last second that he’d already asked.
His head droops again, just a tad.

But even though Inigo may pretend to be all confident at times, that's not what he's actually like. And therefore he sure isn't confident about that idea either. What if he just offends the other, like making it sound like Bucky can't take care of himself?
.. maybe he should just give it a little bit more?
"Um.. Go fish." It sounds a little more unsure than his voice from just a moment ago, mostly since he's so lost in his mental fussing about this.

And he's out.

For a moment Inigo sits there quietly, as if Bucky might suddenly raise his head and start playing again after all. With how the other has been half-nodding off all this time, he wouldn't be surprised.
But half a minute passes and there's still no sign of movement from the other. Inigo carefully reaches out to give Bucky a light poke, just to make sure.
"Uh.. Are you still awake?" Probably not, but it can't hurt to check.

chief. So he puts his cards down on the table, shaking his head a little.
"Okay, young man. Time for bed."
Who cares that Bucky is older than him, right now Inigo sure doesn't feel like the younger one. At least he knows to sleep when he needs it! ... Usually!
He stands up from the table to walk over to the other guy's side.
"Do you need help standing up or can you do it by yourself? Come on, I'll bring you back to your room."

He reaches up, rubbing at his eyes with his flesh hand, letting out the kind of groan you'd expect from a petulant teenager. "I'm trying to stay awake, I swear," he insists, but the second Inigo lays hands on him, he's doing as he's told, following whatever nudge is being supplied.

When he's sure the older man is (relatively) steady on his feet, Inigo grabs his flesh hand to gently lead him through the train. Maybe some people might find that sort of thing embarrassing, but Inigo sure doesn't mind. Especially with people he cares for. And this is the easiest way to ensure the other is still moving along with him rather than collapsing into a sleeping pile in the middle of the hallway.
"It's okay. Seriously. You don't have to stay awake. Everyone needs a nap sometimes."
no subject
He resists the urge to pout, barely. "I really should stay awake," he replies wearily. "Every time I close my eyes I have nightmares," and as embarrassing as that is, he thinks Inigo deserves the truth.
no subject
".. I'm sorry. That sucks." There's no judgement, since there's nothing embarrassing about nightmares to Inigo when some haunt him to this day as well. If anything, there's very genuine sympathy in his eyes. It's almost a little too soft with how stupidly caring he can be. "You know staying awake is not a real solution though, right? No one's body could handle that."
There's a slight pause. Then Inigo lightly hits Bucky's regular arm with his free hand in a joking sort of way, as if to lessen the seriousness of it in case it might embarrass Bucky or make him feel bad. "Not even someone as cool as you."

"Well, if it's warmth you're going for, why not try to make sure you're warm in bed as you fall asleep to keep the dreams away?"
Inigo glances at the nameplates next to the rooms in the sleeper carriages as they pass them, trying to figure out which one is Bucky's.
It helps with sounding as casual as possible when he continues, despite the nerves that he might be making a dumb idiot suggestion. But then again, he's definitely slept together in a huddle before with his friends for warmth, so maybe it's not that dumb? He's terrible at gauging these sort of things for himself. "Say, for example.. I would not be entirely opposed to a nap right now myself."

He blinks a few times as they finally stop in front of his cabin's door, fishing out his ticket and using it to open the door. He's very tired, so it takes his brain a second or two to catch up with the offer. "Are you saying you want to sleep with me?" It comes out both entirely wrong and entirely correct.
no subject
"No! Or, wait-- yes!" Why that wording! It makes every single possible answer sound wrong, somehow. "I mean.. it's not that you aren't handsome, I'm sure girls are lining up for you! But you're old, and I'm young, and.. ugh, wait, no, I don't even mean it that way! Now it just sounds wrong!" Can someone please find Inigo's brain to mouth filter, he would really like it back now, thanks.
"I really like you! As a brother kind of type! So yes, I'm going to sleep there with you so you won't have those nightmares anymore, since I'm really worried about you! And I'm just hoping you don't think it's super embarrassing!"
He'd like to just jump straight off the train into the void now.
no subject
"Then I'll keep looking out for you, like a big brother," he promises. "You're already doing the same," putting him to bed like this. It was sweet, and Bucky was maybe getting a little sentimental in his sleep deprivation. He plops his flesh hand on Inigo's head gently. "Thank you." But you really are going to have to shove him into the bed if you want him to lie down.
no subject
".. you're welcome." And as much as Inigo would like to stew in the warm fuzzy feeling hearing that for once gives him, he does realise Bucky might just literally pass out right here on the floor if he doesn't get moving first. "But come on. Let's go lie down now, alright?"

After all.. it is pretty nice. It feels pretty warm, and he's had to sleep by himself for a while already now that he didn't know how much he missed this kind of thing. Maybe this isn't just for Bucky's sake.
The soft smile on Inigo's face seems to indicate as much, but of course he has to ruin it by saying something dumb.
"Just make sure you don't wake up and have to pee. I'm not moving."
no subject
That gets a warm if sleepy laugh, and once Ingio is in the bunk, Bucky drapes his free arm over the younger man and almost immediately drops off to sleep. It wasn't the getting to sleep that was hard for him, though, it was the dreams he had in the meantime.
