The Yeetening
Who: Bucky and anyone else
Where: Various cars throughout the train -- anywhere Bucky is likely to find a few quiet moments to accidentally nod off.
When: Domino 13 through 15
What: Bucky's pretty sure he's gotten sick, but good luck getting him to accept help. Eventually, he starts accidentally nodding off in various public places, but his startle response poses a problem for anyone who's thinking about waking him.
Warnings: Physical violence, insomnia, anxiety and PTSD symptoms, there will definitely be some cursing.

Get Well Soon | Domino 13
Even though everyone on the train has been better since before the mission, Bucky is absolutely certain he's come down with whatever it was Peter had. It's a fitting punishment for accidentally helping spread it, but doesn't realize it's just sleep deprivation. For now, he's camped out in the game car, nursing some peppermint tea and staring blankly at whatever or whoever is in front of him. At least until the train sends him to his bed for morning announcements.
Eat Your Yeets | Domino 14-15
Bucky is asleep. Somewhere on the train, in a public or semi-public space, he is dozing. He's seated himself in a corner, slouched down in a bean bag chair, or maybe even nodded off still on his feet. Wherever he is, his eyes are closed and his brow is furrowed, but that's the only clue you're going to get about the content of his nightmares. By morning on the 15th, there is a paper stuck out of his hand, with "DO NOT TOUCH ME" written in bold, black letters.
Do you dare to disturb him?
[OoC: Please include which day you're using for this prompt as Bucky's stress level will increase over time, and that determines how he responds to being woken up after the initial flinch reaction.]

"No one can catch my punches like that," Bucky points out. "Not even Steve, when he's fighting for his life," because Bucky had been trying to take it, but let's not dwell on that detail just yet. "You didn't even budge," he looks down at Peter's feet, then up at his hand again. There's absolutely a newfound respect, and maybe just a hint of fear.

"Uh... anyways. I don't know if you meant to fall asleep there-I mean I guess it doesn't really matter because the train just transports you back to your bed at certain point-man I lost a high score because of that once. That sucked."

"Uh... well, I mean I can sympathize with that. Can't have nightmares if you're not asleep, I guess." He opts to follow the more comfortable subject of sleep deprivation. "If you're not big on energy drinks, I can make you some coffee? Although, if you're like passing out in places, maybe it's time to actually sleep?"

"I don't think I've ever had an energy drink," Bucky replies with a tired smile, finally letting Peter's hand go. "But I could sure go for some coffee right now," he rubs his hand over his face then up into his hair. "The problem is if I don't keep my brain constantly focused on something, I'll nod off. No matter how tired or awake I am. It's an old habit from being in the military." And being a mind-controlled assassin, as luck would have it.

"...I can't nod off no matter what I do." He finally states, a strange weight to his voice. "I wish I could but I just start thinking about stuff and the next I know it's like five in the morning." He shakes his head and offers his hand down to Bucky to help him up. "But yeah, let's go get coffee."

"But I kinda cycle through this 'man, I really want to sleep to uh... no way, I'm never sleeping again' mentality and it just sorta..." He trails off again. "It's not great and I can't ever sleep anyway so I may as well be awake enough to do other things. I'd work more on my webfluid but I don't know if Mr Stark wants me in his workshop unattended."

"Maybe we should go to the gym car, see if some physical activity helps wake me up, and tire you out," he suggests.

"I don't know-I mean I would say probably not because I have super powers and that comes with super stamina but-you're kinda-you have that too, I'm assuming so maybe?" He supposed that was a thing they could try but he's not exactly super excited to to fall asleep again after those terrible dreams. Leave it to his subconscious to make him feel like a curse and make him think about things he'd rather not.
Speaking of, he's trying to decide if he wants to tell Bucky anything about why he doesn't sleep or not-he's fairly certain if he does that's just gonna be one more concerned adult trying to get him to sleep or try to work through his issues.
"Just, um.. some really bad stuff. I mean-I'm not stranger to bad stuff happening in my life it's kinda just par of the course for me-but that was really bad and I don't really like talking about it."

"The stuff I was given was an attempt to replicate what they used to make Steve into Cap, so I don't think there's really much risk of us hurting each other very badly, but it's up to you," he reassures, frowning a little more when Peter refuses to elaborate on the bad stuff.
"Then I won't ask again," he promises quietly. "But if you ever change your mind, you can come find me. If there's one thing powered people from our world seem to have in common, it's that bad stuff keeps finding us." For a moment, he hesitates. "The nightmares I usually get are someone sending me off to kill Steve again."
