February Catch-All Log
Who: Tony + varies
What: Varies
Where: On the train somewhere
When: Second half of Domino (19th forward)
Warnings: Tony being rude, language
[In the Gym: Open]
Even though Tony has cut back on his busy schedule, he still is sparring some and doing yoga often. It's not the relentless every single day at precisely certain times. The yoga, he attempts to do by himself now but given the number of people on board, that's pretty impossible.
(So come bug him while he's doing the warrior pose or using a practice sword!)
[Science lesson in standard car!: Open]
Since a little before the new arrivals, Tony has had several classes each week on both science and math topics. He's juggling a variety of skill levels, but Peter is his helper in most classes to go help anyone who needs it. Today, Tony decides to have a demonstration of suspending an egg between water and vinegar and breathing fire. He uses some charcoal for chalk and uses the front wall of the standard car as his chalkboard. When the demonstrations are over, he assigns some worksheets for practice. However, he also provides cookies.
(Bug him afterward about the demonstrations, cookies, whatever)
[19: Evening, Happy Birthday Ignis! (Invitation to ALL BLUE team plus- Reigen, Raven, and anyone close to Ignis (you know who you are and I can't think atm)]
Ignis had thought he was planning a dinner party with just Madoka and Tony. Of course, he didn't think Tony had remembered his birthday and he's the King of Extra, clearly this meant they should throw a surprise party. (Yes, another one). He didn't know what cake to make for a chef like Ignis, so he went with what Mady liked best, since that would most likely make his partner just as or even more pleased. So they had white icing with sprinkles and pink, strawberry, triple layered cake.
Tony had some of the kids help make party hats and confetti and got everyone who was attending into the dining car while he went to get the unaware birthday boy in the kitchen.
[A compromise, Day 20: Bucky, Ignis, Tony and Yuffie.]
Tony was a little skeptical of this approach, but he was willing to give it a try. He had a small bundle wrapped in paper in one hand when he arrived at the quiet car to await the teenager. He looked at the other two men with a sigh.
"Do we really have to do this?" He whined at Ignis, knowing full well what the answer would be.
[OTA: Just make up something and start it. I'm game!]
[P.S. For those observant types, Tony's hand is now missing the wedding ring he has had since coming here.]

He has to hold back the laughter at how ridiculously cute it is that she leans in to give him her answer. He swears it's not at her, but sometimes when things bring enough joy and cute, one must laugh. It was her fault for being so pink and adorable.
Tony pulls her closer when she answers and gives her another kiss on top of her head. "You're so smart! Good job." He holds up his hand where there was a circle of pale skin on his ring finger but the ring he'd always worn was gone. "So when Ignis gets back up here, I want you to run up to him and ask 'Are you going to be the new Mrs. Stark?'. Think you can do that? Don't worry, he'll find it funny."
no subject
"Okay!" (Un)fortunately the way he makes her happy so easily also means that she in turn gives in so easily to any of his plans. Tony says Ignis will find it funny too, after all! That means she's just sharing a joke with her dads, sounds like a great plan. She nods at him, still smiling. "I can do that! Don't worry!"
She looks adorably determined. Even her cheeks puff out a little. Now all they have to do is wait for Ignis to get back.

Madoka looks as if something is on her mind but he doesn't ask because she looks like something good has happened to her. And Ignis didn't want to ruin it by asking anything.
Moving over to Tony, he handed the concoction to the other and looked from Tony to Madoka, trying to figure out what was going on.
hope said it's ok to skip tony!
"Papa, papa! Are you going to be the new Mrs. Stark?"
no subject
But he couldn't and wouldn't take it out on the girl who asked the question in innocence. And if Tony didn't put her up to this, it might make sense in her own mind as to how this was going to work. So he smiled and knelt down, ignoring his mate. "So he told you about the engagement did he?" There was a pause. "And no, I'm not. There was only one who could be Misses Stark and she's not here."
no subject
He smiled watching with pride as Ignis knelt to Mady's level. He looked every bit the part of a dad. If they ever did leave here, he hoped Ignis' life would take a turn back home he hadn't expected so he could be a father there too. The man deserved a family and all the happiness this world and all the others had to offer.
no subject
Except that's exactly the moment she realises Tony is actually the one laughing, and as she turns to look at that instead the girl's confusion is complete. It's so easily written all across her face.

Standing up, his green eyes fixed right on Tony. "Well at least our daughter is aware." He wondered how many others would notice the plain band of gold on his left hand that he made no show of. But he didn't mind a very long engagement.
no subject
"You know we're like a celebrity couple on board. People are going to notice, Birthday Boy."
no subject
".. Don't you want people to know, papa?" She can't help but direct the question at Ignis when Tony was laughing and even now is still grinning - it definitely makes him seem less bothered about it. "But it's a good thing, right? It shows that you two love each other very much!"
no subject
There were politics involved too at being engaged to the leader of the train but he wasn't about to enlighten the girl, so he would just keep smiling and not mentioning that certain troubling thing. "It will probably be a small wedding as well..maybe."
That's when Ignis looked over at Tony. Knowing that man it wouldn't be so easy.
no subject
"Yeah, Papa," Tony echoed playfully as Ignis answered why he wasn't as showy as the older man was. He had to chuckle at that. It seemed like one of the biggest understatements possible, but there was plenty of affection there too. He, of course, missed that there was anything political about what they were doing except that it was something people would notice. Haters were going to hate, right? So who cared.
The remark on the ceremony though caught Tony off-guard. Obviously, a wedding would follow a proposal but he hadn't mentally gotten that far yet. So excuse him while he has a moment of the Blue Screen of Death before he can reboot properly. "Uh..."
no subject
But boy, oh boy, then the w-word is dropped, and Madoka seems to instantly get excited. Her eyes are almost twinkling. "That'd be so much fun..! I can come at least, right?" Despite Ignis saying it'd be small. "Are we all going to wear pretty and fancy clothes?"
For a moment she prattles on, but then her gaze finally shifts from Ignis to Tony enough to realise someone doesn't look quite as present here. Madoka lets out a surprised sound.
"Wait.. Is everything okay?"
no subject
Catching her gaze at Tony, the advisor stood and placed his hand on her shoulder with a sigh. "Everything is fine Madoka." Because by saying it, he could somehow make it be true.
no subject
He gave Ignis a smile then that was maybe a little shy-ish, but genuine. "Yeah, everything is fine," he agreed no matter how belated it might be after Ignis' remark. "Where do you want the honeymoon? The kitchen or the game room?"
no subject
But the remark does make her pout a little.
"Those aren't places to go on a honeymoon.." But her voice trails off at the end, since she realises that it would be kind of hard for those two to have a honeymoon when they're stuck on a train, huh.. Which sucks. Because they're both amazing and deserve to have everything be great.
no subject
Even if they could go somewhere, Ignis would demand some sort of communication to be able to keep in contact with Madoka should anything go wrong. They were parents now (well Tony was already, this was all new to him of course) and he couldn't imagine going off on his own somewhere without a way to find out if their daughter was safe or not.
no subject
"Alright, enough about that, let's go find a game we can all play with the birthday boy. Do you like cards?"
no subject
.. and then is easily distracted by Tony's suggestion instead.
"Oh.. yes!" Games are part of a proper birthday party, right? "Let's play a card game with papa!"
