DAY 25 💙 [OPEN POST]

Who: Naminé, Terra & YOU!
Where: Gym Car & Around the Train
When: Day 21 - Day 25 of month Domino
What: Training/Drawing/Heart-to-heart

TRAINING

Naminé wasn't much of a fighter but after experiencing her trouble on the ice world she wanted to learn more. She had her powers but they were a little frightening to use. What if she shattered another's heart? Wouldn't that be worse than dying or melting? Somehow, this felt like it was better.

She was there through morning classes learning hand-to-hand from Bucky or whoever happened to be around. Naminé stayed off to the side and out of the way since she was really only starting to learn.

Some days, when there was space in the gym car, she used a long wooden rod and tried to emulate the way Sora or Terra fought. It was very awkward and a few times she ended up falling on her butt when her arm swung a little too wide. Naminé wasn't really training, so much as she was swinging around a practice stick and flailing.

No matter when you run into her, she always gets up and tries again.

DRAWING

In between chores, helping Madoka with plants and her many other attempts to help, Naminé can be found in the various cars drawing. She didn't have any more crayons or colors but she had pens and pencils, as well as pieces of paper. Her pictures varied between those she met on the cars and the creatures she'd seen in the snow world.

After the dream she began to draw bits and pieces from her memories, from those she saw and from other peoples memories though she didn't fully understand what she was drawing. Whatever it was, she didn't want to forget it and drawing was a way to immortalize or clarify her thoughts.

Whenever someone approached she glanced up and offered them a brief welcoming smile.

DAY 21 - CLOSED TO TERRA

The dreams had been startling for Naminé, reminding her of the castle and the choices she wanted to forget. She hadn't been a nice person then. She hadn't been malicious but she'd been lonely and stupid and she hurt people who didn't deserve to be hurt. It was a lot for her to face again and it took her some time to approach the one person she needed to speak too.

She stood awkwardly outside of his cabin and knocked on the door.

Hopefully he was there and alone.

Thoughts buzzed in and out of Naminés head in a messy fashion but she hoped, with all her heart, that Terra wouldn't turn away when he knows what she's done. Sora had forgiven her but she didn't understand why. Why should she be forgiven for all the pain she's caused?

She wasn't sure where to start. She wanted to talk about Riku, about the Castle and the dream. Terra hadn't been there... he didn't know. Riku had come to her but they weren't that close. She hadn't expected him to be there when she awoke. She hadn't expected to wake in this body in the first place.

Only Replica Riku had made it possible. He gave up his chance of living for her, even after everything she'd done.

"I- I don't know what you think of me. I don't want you to think badly but I have done very bad things." She didn't know how much Terra knew.

For some reason she was reminding him of Cinderella but he shook his head. "I think..you're the only one who thinks that of yourself." After all, Terra had quite the worse track record, and it was something he didn't want to dwell on.

"If you don't want to talk about it yet you don't have to." This was his attempt at trying to comfort her, as poor of an attempt that it might be. "But I promise, that no matter what you say, I'll still be there for you." He had to get her home to Riku after all.

He tried to smile to be strong for her. "So..does this mean we can't be friends?"

Naminé thought about Sora and the moment she had put him to sleep. She had taken apart his memories and yet he had thanked her... and had wanted to thank her again, afterwards. She didn't understand it.

"You're right." She didn't forgive herself for what she had done despite the fact that everyone else had. "Because I never wanted to hurt anyone and I did." She thought about the Riku Replica and her face fell.

"I want to talk to you Terra. I want you to understand because... because we're friends. We're close." She looked up and finally met his gaze with her own. "Aren't we? I like you Terra. I want to be close."

"I'm..sure other people know that." Terra didn't think Namine would want to hurt anyone, especially with the way she felt bad about the snow creatures. If she was happy about it, a different person would've been showing through. Namine had a good heart, he just wasn't sure she could see it at all after what she'd done, and he could relate pretty strongly to that.

She then said they were close and in an odd sort of way it reminded him of Aqua. They were close? Terra hadn't thought so but she did and her blue eyes were intently focused on him. What should he say to that? Namine had been nothing but kind to him and he had to protect her and keep her safe, so there wasn't anything wrong with being close to her. It would be so much easier for both of them if they were like that.

All he could do was nod. "Being close is..okay."

Naminés nerves fluttered uncomfortably in her stomach as she waited for his response. She didn't think that she had a good heart, that she had any heart, but she wanted Terra to like her nonetheless. It was selfish but she wanted to be selfish...

"Really?" She looked up and the nervous flutter lifted to her throat as hope shinned in her blue gaze. "You mean it? yes! It is. That is-" She felt her face warm. "I like being close to you Terra. I um... I drew you something."

She pulled a piece of paper from her pocket and handed him a drawing of an orange and blue wayfinder. It wasn't perfect but it was very close to the one he had known. "It isn't the same but I drew this for you."

He wasn't sure why she was blushing though it was cute. Terra immediately squashed that thought and tried to keep from marveling at how bright her eyes looked. Namine looked happy. But how did he keep her looking that way all the time? What could he do to help?

Taking the paper and happy to have a distraction, Terra looked at it. "This is mine and Aqua's wayfinders!" Almost excitedly he pulled out the orange wayfinder from his pocket and compared.

"You did a great job!"

"Yeah. I remember seeing something similar to it. It was a charm that Kairi gave to Sora. I knew you had one too." She smiled when she saw the orange wayfinder. Her drawing wasn't perfect but it was very close for someone drawing it from memory.

"Thank you. I had trouble thinking of something to draw for you but then I thought of this. Those charms mean so much to everyone. It isn't the same, I know, but it's what I can do." Drawing was the only talent she could current do with any real proficiency

"I am really glad you like it Terra."

She had wanted to make him something special.

"Right, Aqua made one for me and Ven." He was kind of surprised that Kairi had given one to Sora, he somehow thought it was just for those three. But still, it was nice to know others had them too.

"If you had one, what color would you want it to be?" There was a reason he was asking this. While he couldn't craft one himself, he was thinking if he could find someone on the train who could make miniatures, then Namine could have one as a necklace maybe.

His gaze stayed on the drawing until blue eyes peeked out from the top of the drawing. "You know you didn't have to draw me anything...but I really like it."

"Me? Well, I think it would be white or maybe purple. I think that's a really pretty color." She didn't know if she could have something like that but it was nice to day dream about a wayfinder. Then she could find her way too.

"I know. I just... I really like you Terra and I wanted to show you in some way. This is the best way I know."

She wasn't good at expressing her feelings. "And I was a little scared. I don't want you to dislike me after what I've done."

"Purple?" He hadn't considered it as a colour for a wayfinder. White had been a consideration only because Namine wore it, but he wondered if he could find such a thing to be made. Aqua had made them out of glass, though she had said they were supposed to be crafted from seashells.

Purple seashells, ya good luck.

She liked him, he liked her they were friends, right?

Holding onto the drawing, he shook his head. "You don't have to be scared of me, I'm not going anywhere."

"It doesn't have to be purple." She smiled easily now. "I was just thinking of colors I liked but I don't think there are any colors I don't like." White was one of her favorite colors because it was empty and filled with so much promise of what she could do. It was like drawing on a blank page.

"I'm not scared of you Terra."

She just cared about him and she was scared to lose those she cared about... again.

Well she said purple and white..maybe he could go around and start asking. After all, he had his wayfinder (it wasn't a christmas ornament..whatever christmas was) to show a model of it. That and the drawing now so no one could go wrong with that, right?

There was a small smile when Namine said she wasn't scared of him.

Good.

"Well..if you get scared you can always stay behind me so you don't get hurt." It was sort of the thing he said to Cinderella but this was a little different.

Her smile warmed at the memory of their time in the snow storm. He had protected her and she'd tried to protect him too.

"Alright but I want to learn to protect you too. I've been training with the sword. Well... it is a stick but maybe one day I can use a keyblade too." Maybe not a keyblade but something that can keep Terra and herself safe.

He was surprised to hear that she wanted to protect him. Why? But his surprise doubled when Namine said that she wanted to wield a keyblade. "You mean..kind of like Xion, Aqua and Kairi?" It was a thought and he wouldn't try to discourage her.

Terra was just really surprised she'd want to put herself in danger like that.

"Yes. I don't know if I can but I would like to try. And even if I can't, maybe learning can help me anyway." She wanted Terra to be safe and she'd do anything to do that. He was important and not just to her. He was important to so many people.

"Is that... alright?"

She wasn't sure if he liked the idea or not. She knew she'd be putting herself in danger and she didn't want to worry him.

Terra nodded. "The keyblade chooses its' wielder, but any time you want to see if it would, we can do that." But that posed a problem, even if it did choose Namine, where would she get hers? Would hers manifest on its own? "If you want to spar sometime to get ready, you can let me know."

It did worry him, but Aqua had fussed about Ven not being ready. And as he'd said, the keyblade chose its' master, Terra and Namine would have absolute zero vote in what it decided.

"Yes! I would like that. Even if I can't use a keyblade. Maybe I can help in other ways." She didn't want to be a liability while Terra was fighting but be able to assist him. The fight against the bear made her realize how weak she really was.

He wanted to tell Namine that she could help by staying safe if a keyblade wasn't going to be in her future. But he was wise enough (having dealt with Aqua regarding matters like this) to keep his mouth shut.

Terra shrugged. "I don't know..that magic you did with the animals really was impressive."

"Yeah but it manipulates people. I don't want to do something wrong. I'm worried Terra." She looked up at him with a brief frown. "I don't want to hurt someone I care about again." She didn't know when there was a right time to use her abilities. Her own moral compass didn't exactly make it clear.

"I don't want to hurt you."

He shook his head and put his hands on her shoulders. "I don't think you would hurt anyone on purpose." Namine seemed to be sweetness and light, and quite the contrast to himself. "You came to wake me up in the darkness, remember? You know you didn't have to do anything like that."

There was no way Terra would let her forget that about herself so he smiled. "I know you won't, I trust you."

And that was it really.

His palm was warm against her shoulders. "Thank you Terra." She lifted her chin and met his gaze. "I'll make sure I keep fighting but I'll be good. I promise." It was a difficult thing for her but she felt like she could keep her promise if it was to Terra.

He always saw the good in her.

"I'm lucky to have you by my side."

He was still confused at her promise to be good. And Terra wasn't sure what she needed to keep fighting for. He could protect her and keep her safe..this was just along the same lines of thinking that used to get him into trouble with Aqua.

He smiled with a nod. "Ill keep you safe."

Until Namine wouldn't let him anymore.
