DAY 25 đŸ’™ [OPEN POST]
Who: Naminé, Terra & YOU!
Where: Gym Car & Around the Train
When: Day 21 - Day 25 of month Domino
What: Training/Drawing/Heart-to-heart
Warnings: None yet.
TRAINING
Naminé wasn't much of a fighter but after experiencing her trouble on the ice world she wanted to learn more. She had her powers but they were a little frightening to use. What if she shattered another's heart? Wouldn't that be worse than dying or melting? Somehow, this felt like it was better.
She was there through morning classes learning hand-to-hand from Bucky or whoever happened to be around. Naminé stayed off to the side and out of the way since she was really only starting to learn.
Some days, when there was space in the gym car, she used a long wooden rod and tried to emulate the way Sora or Terra fought. It was very awkward and a few times she ended up falling on her butt when her arm swung a little too wide. Naminé wasn't really training, so much as she was swinging around a practice stick and flailing.
No matter when you run into her, she always gets up and tries again.
DRAWING
In between chores, helping Madoka with plants and her many other attempts to help, Naminé can be found in the various cars drawing. She didn't have any more crayons or colors but she had pens and pencils, as well as pieces of paper. Her pictures varied between those she met on the cars and the creatures she'd seen in the snow world.
After the dream she began to draw bits and pieces from her memories, from those she saw and from other peoples memories though she didn't fully understand what she was drawing. Whatever it was, she didn't want to forget it and drawing was a way to immortalize or clarify her thoughts.
Whenever someone approached she glanced up and offered them a brief welcoming smile.
DAY 21 - CLOSED TO TERRA
The dreams had been startling for Naminé, reminding her of the castle and the choices she wanted to forget. She hadn't been a nice person then. She hadn't been malicious but she'd been lonely and stupid and she hurt people who didn't deserve to be hurt. It was a lot for her to face again and it took her some time to approach the one person she needed to speak too.
She stood awkwardly outside of his cabin and knocked on the door.
Hopefully he was there and alone.
Thoughts buzzed in and out of Naminés head in a messy fashion but she hoped, with all her heart, that Terra wouldn't turn away when he knows what she's done. Sora had forgiven her but she didn't understand why. Why should she be forgiven for all the pain she's caused?

Hearing a knock, he got up to go answer it and there Namine stood, looking lost. Nodding to her, he pulled the door open wider to allow room for her. "Come on in." He wasn't sure what this was about, but he was sure glad she was here.
"I can go make us some tea if you want."
no subject
Maybe the dream didn't show Terra all of that but it was enough to make her nervous. What did he think of her? Should she feel this nervous.
His voice snapped her from her thoughts and she stepped inside of the cabin. She exhaled a slow breath when she realized that it was just the two of them. This talk was better if it was just them. "No. I'm alright but thank you." There wasn't a lot of space to sit so she took a seat on one of the beds and gestured to the empty seat next to her. "Will you sit with me? I- I wanted to talk about the dream, what you saw and what I said."
no subject
That was an immediate no because she wanted to talk about the dream that he had..been in with her. He'd asked around and people confirmed it was the train itself that had caused it. But that didn't explain to his satisfaction the why or how they ended up on another person's dream.
Sitting next to her on the bed, he could only nod.
no subject
Only Replica Riku had made it possible. He gave up his chance of living for her, even after everything she'd done.
"I- I don't know what you think of me. I don't want you to think badly but I have done very bad things." She didn't know how much Terra knew.
no subject
"If you don't want to talk about it yet you don't have to." This was his attempt at trying to comfort her, as poor of an attempt that it might be. "But I promise, that no matter what you say, I'll still be there for you." He had to get her home to Riku after all.
He tried to smile to be strong for her. "So..does this mean we can't be friends?"
no subject
"You're right." She didn't forgive herself for what she had done despite the fact that everyone else had. "Because I never wanted to hurt anyone and I did." She thought about the Riku Replica and her face fell.
"I want to talk to you Terra. I want you to understand because... because we're friends. We're close." She looked up and finally met his gaze with her own. "Aren't we? I like you Terra. I want to be close."
no subject
She then said they were close and in an odd sort of way it reminded him of Aqua. They were close? Terra hadn't thought so but she did and her blue eyes were intently focused on him. What should he say to that? Namine had been nothing but kind to him and he had to protect her and keep her safe, so there wasn't anything wrong with being close to her. It would be so much easier for both of them if they were like that.
All he could do was nod. "Being close is..okay."

Training
After one particularly nasty fall Piccolo approached the girl and held out a hand. "You all right?" he asked. He looked moderately concerned. Her antics reminded him a bit of Pan. So rambunctious for such a small thing. He smiled softly at the memory and turned that smile to Namine as he kept his hand out for her. "You know, there are some core strengthening techniques that would probably help you with that. Many martial artists don't train with weapons until they've mastered hand-to-hand. It would help with your balance, speed, and strength to practice those first. Then, you'd have the skills and endurance to proper wield that in whichever way you prefered."
Training
She swung the sword without thinking about it and for the first time swung it well though she didn't seem to notice.
"I thought that this would be alright. I've never fought before but I've watched others do it."
no subject
"That's good. Focus on perfecting the techniques taught to you and once you have those down teaching yourself should come more naturally." Perhaps it was just Piccolo's experience since he taught and trained himself in such a manner but he believed that if he could do it so could anyone else. As long as they put their heart and soul into it. "In the meantime, I suppose you already have the right idea. Practice makes perfect. If you're mimicking a move-set you've seen enough to copy that's a good start. You can also ask the people here if any of them fight in a similar manner and learn from them."
He would offer to teach her himself but he wasn't certain sword fighting would be something he'd be good at teaching. He could offer advice based on the basics and techniques he knew but learning from a true master of the art style she wanted to learn would, of course, be the best option.
no subject
"Have you used a lot of swords before?"
She swung again and this time it was worse than her last swing but better than the one before that. Her abilities greatly depended on how hard she was thinking about what she was doing. If she didn't think to hard about it, her movements and strikes were better.
no subject
He couldn't help but admit the truth. He could instruct her only so far if he tried. Gohan had taken to the sword quite naturally as a child but it had only ever been intended for survival purposes rather than something Piccolo had wanted to actually teach. It had worked for that. Beyond the basics, as he said, he wouldn't be much help in instructing her. He could simply see where her balance was off and other small inconsistencies like that which he could correct that might help her along her own way. Complex forms would be harder on him. He would have to teach himself sword play if he wanted to be more accurate--a possibility he considered for a few seconds but ultimately dismissed.
"There are others here that wield blades, too. If this Terra person is someone you know I would definitely ask him to help you. Lightning and some others may be able to help as well. Having more than one teacher may be confusing in the beginning but it can also show you where you may need the most work or help you figure out what style suits you best in the long run. It's also a great way to pick up new tricks once you've mastered the ones you've focused on first."
Piccolo was mostly self-taught but he did like to watch others and analyze their moves. Sometimes he even created new ones of his own inspired by others. So far be it for him to preach about only having one master. One at a time might be a bit easier especially on the young but learning from a great many masters should never be condemned as far as he was concerned.
no subject
She was taking baby steps.
"I think that would be helpful. I haven't done very much before and I'm not used to a lot of things but I promise to try my best." She would accept whatever help Piccolo offered. It will take a great deal of work but Naminé was willing to put in the time and energy.

handwave from here?
sure! basically this for the rest of their time together
drawing
"Naminé! How.."
She stops mid-question when she's close enough to actually see what the other girl is doing. Madoka's eyes grow wide in amazement.
".. Wow..! Those drawings are so nice..!"
drawing
"Huh?"
She looked down at the page she'd been sketching and felt her cheeks warm.
"Oh. Thank you. I like drawing when I can. I prefer to have colored pencils but the crayons are for the games and a bit hard to draw with. I hope to keep practicing while I'm here." She looked down at her partial drawing and then back up at Madoka. "I can draw something for you if you'd like."
no subject
At least despite Madoka's low selfconfidence she's already displayed in front of the other girl before, she's not necessarily shy when it comes to talking to Naminé. It shows in the way she sits down near the other girl - not too close, but enough so that they seem to be keeping each other company.
"And it really is kind of sad we don't have coloured pencils here, huh.. I like drawing as well, but everything I've made here is in black and white because of it."
no subject
"Me too. I miss having colors but maybe one day I'll find some at one of the worlds we visit. Then I can color things too."
She was very hopeful.
no subject
She can't wait to see what Naminé draws for her! Especially since Madoka already likes the style of the drawings she can see here. Naminé's style is so different from her own, but it's nice and cute!
Although the other thing the girl says makes Madoka think and hum for a moment.
"Do you think the train shop maybe lets you buy colouring pencils with points..? I don't think I ever looked.."
no subject
Naminé wasn't sure what she was going to draw for Madoka but she wanted it to be something special. Maybe a portrait of someone close to her? She racked her brain for a few moments before turning to look over at Madoka. They worked together but Naminé was beginning to realize that she didn't know a lot about her.
"Um... can I ask. What are things that you like?"
Maybe flowers or people or places.

Nerdanel comes over when she spots her.
"Ah, but your skill is impressive!"
drawing
A light blush touched her cheeks as she gently pulled the sketchbook closer to her chest. "You really think so?" She wasn't trying to hide the picture from Nerdanel but it was obvious that Naminé wasn't used to compliments.
"Thank you for letting me use your sketchbook. I've drawn a lot. I want to draw everything from all the worlds we visit... like a diary almost." There were even some of the towns people the saved besides the snow creatures and other monsters.
Re: drawing
"I do." She smile. "You have a way of capturing the spirit of a place."
She nods, looking at the pictures. "That's a good idea! That way you'll be able to look back later and remember how much fun you had."
Or not, as the case may be.
drawing
"Yeah and there are people and creatures I don't want to forget. Threw drawings it's like things can live on, not just with me but those who see it."
Naminé touched the drawing affectionately. "Is there something I can draw for you?"
no subject
She considers. "I don't know if there is anything specific... but perhaps, a picture of that beach that you dreamt of? It seemed a very nice place."
no subject
"I have a picture of that."
She flipped to an earlier page where she'd drawn the island. "Would you like this one?"
