Gladio chuckled and patted Ignis' arm this time. "You know I'm playing. You're fun. Just... an Iggy kind of fun." Which wasn't a bad thing. Ignis just needed to relax and let loose once in a while, that was all. Still, Gladio kind of liked him just the way he was. Ignis was Ignis and any other way just wouldn't do.

"So I get to organise a shindig for my oldest friend? I think I'll enjoy this." Gladio was still grinning as he idly wondered just how much he could get away with while being stuck on a train. And just who he could rope into helping him make it happen.

"I wonder." Ignis said, with his voice trailing off. But there was a smile on his face. He had to be the serious one, being asked at age six to always stand by a prince and eventual king wasn't child's play even if he himself had been a child at the time. He always took that responsibility seriously as he did most everything else. So it was no wonder that Madoka found in him a man who hadn't built a snow man and was unfamiliar with pinky promises.

"I'm sure you rather will." Again the advisor used the dry tone but it was still amused all the same. Somehow he'd always thought Noct would have gotten married, but with Lady Lunafreya's passing the wedding never came to pass. Ignis had been ready to spend his life alone because he couldn't have the one man that he wanted and be the general of his armies. So being here, Tony had drastically flipped his life upside down. He'd never planned to ever marry, let alone adopt a child.

Gladio reached for his beer with a grin and brought it to his lips. Ignis wasn't telling him everything. The sneaky bastard was skilfully avoiding a great many topics and Gladio wasn't about to let that slide.

"Now you get to spill." He put the bottle down and sat up enough that he could twist his chair around, causing it to squeak upon the floor, and pinned Ignis with an intent stare. "I wanna know who he is. How you guys met. What the hell is up with adopting a teenager. I want to know what's been happening with you all this time, Ig."

The advisor smirked at Gladio's insistence because he hadn't realized how much it was missed until it was actually missed. With a smile he shook his head. "His name is Tony Stark. He'll have you meeting with him for a survey to try and gather intel to get us home." A shyer look crept up and he turned away. "We met here and Madoka is a sweet girl."

As far as the rest, the shield knew about the engagement. "I showed up here and somehow became the Blue team leader in short order." He had a cup of coffee so he had some of that. "So between being courted and being the leader, it's been quite busy."

Glario rolled his eyes and sat back in his seat, arms folding across his chest. "The hell...? What happened to the strategist who was a stickler for the details? You're holding out on me. Iggy." He wasn't sure if it was deliberate or not, but Ignis seemed to be evading his questions and it was bothersome. How was he supposed to learn what had happened to his friend if his friend was denying him information. Especially if he'd been busy. Busy with what, exactly? Gladio had no idea.

He looked down at himself and pulled at the fabric of his hoodie with an unhappy frown. "You know these things are bullshit, right?"

A smile came out of the advisor and then a sigh. Yes he gave explicit details, but this was about his personal life and he wasn't going to exactly kiss and tell. "Oh alright." Another sigh. "We were on a mission and we..hadn't started courting yet." He wasn't going to get into the conditions he'd agreed to after that either. "But I had gotten my team off of the planet we were on. As I was about to leave, the rocks gave out from under me and against all odds, he came to my rescue."

That..still stuck in his pride.

"It was only after that, that we started courting and I actually filled out that dratted survey." Another sigh came and he shook his head. "Missions occur every other month, and not everyone knows how to fight or should. So I take care in preparing food and potions in order to keep the Blue team running. But there's not much to do in the interim."

Gladio definiately was NOT asking for the ins and outs of Ignis' sex life. That was his business and his alone. But what he wanted to know was about these life changing events in his bestfriends life that he was, for some reason, hiding from him. And for the life of him Gladio couldn't understand why... He knew that there was a good bit of time between them, with how long Ignis had been living on the train, but surely that hadn't lessened the bond between them? Gladio was wondering about it. He was trying not to be hurt by Ignis' sigh before he finally began to tell him a bit about what had happened to him.

After the third sigh, Gladio decided he wasn't going to press any more. If Ignis wanted to tell him something he would. Or he wouldn't. He didn't think he should be struggling to find out the simplest of things.

"So he saved your life... Maybe he's a good guy after all." Yet Gladio still couldn't quite shake the idea that this Tony guy could do with not glaring at every guy he met. It was offputting.

"Got it. Thanks for the info, Ignis." He replied with a nod and a brief smile.
