Oops
Who: Conan and anyone
What: Apotoxin Time. Goodbye Secret Identity (Probably).
Where: Various
When: Egret 25,26
Cabin 2B, Evening of Egret 25
Sarai had healed all of Conan's injuries, but he'd still lost a lot of blood for someone of his size. As a result, by the time he'd been fed and helped back to his cabin, he wasn't in much of a mood to leave again. He stays awake long enough to talk to any visitors, but ends up falling asleep fairly early.
Hallway, Early Morning Egret 26
The first attack wakes him up out of a rare sound sleep. He chokes back a cry of pain as he clutches at the all too familiar pain in his chest. His heart... But how? Peter had been working on it, but he hadn't tried any new cures recently. He hadn't eaten anything unusual.
A second shock of pain to his heart, and first shiver of a fever drives him out of bed. He could not change here, where his roommates could see. He has the presence of mind to grab a blanket, and then he is staggering down the hallway past the sleeping cars, trying to calculate which part of the train would be the closest and most likely to be unoccupied now.

Hallway
Re: Hallway
"To the kitchen," he says brightly. "I got hungry again." Meanwhile he was hoping to make it through this conversation before any of the other symptoms showed up. He could already feel the shiver of the fever starting.

"That's okay," he tries. "I'm feeling much better than earlier. I think I could walk by myself."

“You look like hell.”
Re: Hallway
"I'm fine," he says. "Considering yesterday."
no subject
“You’re burning up,” he points out. “We ought to get you to the infirmary. Maybe you’ve got an infection.” He awkwardly crouches down and offers Conan his back, just like he’d used to with the tiny foster sister he’d once found himself saddled with. “Get on.”
no subject
"I don't need the infirmary," he insists. "And I don't have an infection. I probably just caught a cold somewhere."

Also Hallway!
Nita hadn't gotten much sleep, even with her headache - and encountering Conan like this in the morning was doing the opposite of wonders for her manners.
Her tone of voice was harsh, born of concern and recognition.
"What's going on? You definitely look unwell."
After a moment's thought, she added, "If you need a soundproof shield right now, you've got it for the asking."
no subject
"You've seen this before," he says. "How?"
no subject
"Blame Nautilus," she replies. That's the simplest explanation.
"And if it was anything like as painful to go through as it looked like, or sounded... I can get you some privacy, anyway."
Whoops, accidentally answered an older reply twice
He goes to say something to that, but has to cut himself off as he doubles up in pain.
Re: Whoops, accidentally answered an older reply twice
Sorry about the delay.trying to figure out how this plays into what happens later.
How's this?
Early morning, if this is okay?

As it was, his concentration and balance were already so far gone that he loses his balance and falls.

She fell on top of him, then scrambled to get off. "Oh! I'm so sorry...." Whoever it was. She couldn't tell with the blanket.

"Maybe try looking where you're going??"

"The fuck, Kudo-kun?"
lets say just after he had to deal with explaining things to everyone in the kitchen
Having to explain again was the last thing he wanted.
"Oi! There's kids around here, you know."
Re: lets say just after he had to deal with explaining things to everyone in the kitchen
Kaito runs a hand down his face and makes a sound that sounds distinctly like nyargh.
"Ugh fine. Sit down before you fall down you look like you got shot again. Is this permanent or temporary?" He will fetch him a coffee because... what even.
no subject
"Temporary," he says as he sinks into a chair. "Or at least I assume it is. I still don't know what caused it this time."

Hallway
He is just in time to spot Conan exiting 2:B.
"Conan?" he calls, worried now that he sees the small blanket-draped figure. Yes, he's heard that Conan was somehow injured, but he doesn't know the details. He's glad to see Conan up and around, since that shows he's recovering, but that staggering walk suggests he shouldn't be up yet.
