Fiddlesticks, Day 3, OTA
Who: Glorfindel, OTA
Where: Various locations, hopefully will contain hooks for Kaito, Lan Wanji, Sarai (and Komoko), and whomever *cough*Feanor*cough* might want to interact with him.
Kitchen - Sarai specific
Glorfindel was more than a little nervous. It was one thing to say he was going to make friends with a giant spider, and another thing entirely to do it. But he'd had no premonitions that this would be a Bad Idea, plus, he'd get to make cookies, so he was determined to see this through. He was a little early, however, so he made himself a cup of tea and waited for Sarai to arrive.
Greenhouse - OTA
Glorfindel stared in fascination at the small patch of bamboo that he'd planted here. He was actively encouraging it to grow, but he was starting to wonder if that was such a good idea. He was no Persephone, able to bring a plant from seedling to fruiting in mere moments, but the bamboo didn't seem to know that. It was already two feet high and visibly growing. He had promised wood for Alex for a small loom, and for practice weapons, and perhaps maybe find one or two bits appropriate to make some flutes.
"We might end up with extra wood," he said aloud.
Music Lessons - Lan Wangji
Glorfindel checked the time on his wrist amulet again, then finally knocked on the door to Cabin 1:B. He'd arranged to meet here with Lan Wangji and go to discuss and perhaps actually start, guqin lessons. He was quite excited about the prospect.
Dining Car - OTA
Glorfindel picked up the cups and dishes once he'd properly disposed of the trash and carried them over to the dumbwaiter. Either another member of Team Purple would find them upstairs and wash them, or he'd go up after finishing down here and do it. Either way, keeping the train clean was Team Purple's job this month. He started wiping down the tables, humming as he worked. Though even so, his movements were careful enough that the bell at his belt did not ring.
He looked up as the door into the car opened.
Wildcard - Open
(Where do you want to find Glorfindel? Outside the shower? In the Stores? Looking confused at the Cinema? Got a pet that likes to nap next to the sun? Let me know!)

"Mm, not the first," Glorfindel said. "Human mortality is depressing. But any one of the others sound good, do you have a preference?"
He looked at Tidus. "What kind of a place is Zanarkand?"
no subject
Which does he prefer? Tidus hums some, a drawn out note as he reads the synopsis for them again. Which takes clicking back out of the last one to the third -- that was the Red Sun one, right? -- right around as Glorfindel asks him about Zanarkand.
"Oh, Zanarkand? It was a city over the ocean--where I'm from." He looks from the ICP to Glorfindel. "You seen cities with vehicles and machines?"
He'd be able to visualise the city better, depending on what the guy was familiar it. Make it easier to understand, anyway. Hopefully.

"Well, imagine the biggest city you can, right over the water. You have a level closer to the water that boats move around, docks and buildings... and then you have the higher levels, with roads for things like wagons, or smaller vehicles. There's platforms where water pours down them like waterfalls, and we even have buildings on top of those!"
He raises a hand with the different levels, pulled in by his own illustration. It's been so long, but he can still see flashes of Zanarkand so clearly in his mind.
"It's all run with technology--wires and science, that kinda thing." But for his enthusiasm, Tidus pauses, smile quirking. "Well, I think it was. Or...something like that," he laughs awkwardly, a stilted thing, before he taps at the ICP.
"In Zanarkand, you could say what you wanted, and a screen would appears with suggestions. It just pops up, you know?" He waves out a hand, motioning vertically. "There's set places where they appear, like how the screen in here is set up. You put them where you can sit down and watch them. But it hides away too when you're not using it."
no subject
The description of the screens made him frown and shake his head. "Nothing like that, though." He laughed. "Sounds quite fanastical, in fact!"
no subject
"So is it on top of the waterfall? In the centre, then you have bridges everywhere connecting the buildings? Do you use boats to get around?"
He wasn't suspecting they used anything with engines, but he was used to Spira, and was already imagining somewhere like Kilika with all its docks and piers, but with a waterfall than any connecting land.
no subject
"What about Zanarkand? Waterfalls? Beach? Lake? Canals?"
no subject
"Just sea, a city out at sea," Tidus explains. "Nothing but water for miles! So sure, you had things like bridges or roads connecting to other parts of town, and some waterways for boats to get in, but not because of any rivers or land. There weren't any. We were far out from the rest of the world."
Literally, a city out at sea.

He still was interested in the plays, but this was also quite interesting. He wondered if there were any plays about island cities.
no subject
Which wasn't exactly the truth of how it worked, but it was always the way Tidus knew it to, most his life. Regardless of their talking, he has brought up the Red Sun title on the ICP, but he waits for their conversation to slow or shift any to actually select it.
Or Glorfindel always can. Play button is right there, and Tidus won't stop him.

"Melkor was a being, not a city. Truly evil, wanted to sow chaos and dischord," literally," and destroy anything that Man or Elf built."
He noticed that Tidus had queued up 'Red Sun'. "Is that the one we chose?" he asked. "Shall we?"
