Bardic Circle - OTA
Who: Open Post
Where: Cinema Car
When: FiddleSticks, Day 14
What: Time for some music! Come play or perform, or just come watch and enjoy!
Warnings: MUSIC!
[Announcement on the trainwide ICP - Voice and Visual]
Hello fellow VoidTrekkers. I know that some of you have been missing music as much as I, and having whet my appetite for it at the recent beach party, I was thinking we could make some ourselves. To that end, I have reserved the Cinema for the evening.
If you would like to play or sing or express yourself with dance, please, come and perform. If you cannot or do not want to participate on stage, we also need an audience. Please come and support those who are performing.
If you have any questions, I will be there all evening. I will also be taking down names of those who want to perform, so you can watch while waiting.
Thank you.
[Player note: You don't actually have to talk to Glorfindel first...that can be handwaved :) You can just do a Top-Level for your Performance.]

Re: So sorry for delay
"If you don't want to sing now, you don't have to, but we only have the space when I can reserve it." He laughed. "Movies are very popular, it seems."

Regarding the music, he glanced around and considered what he'd sing or do to perform. While he thought though, he got distracted by the comment on movies. "They're fun. Have you seen one yet?"

He shook his head at the second question. "I haven't served a king since Gil-Galad died. Though Elrond could have taken the title, as he was grandson of Turgon, the king I served in my first life, he chose not to. But he is the leader of Imladris, and the one who I currently serve." Or did until he sailed. But he smiled at his fellow guardsman. "It is a worthy calling, serving a king."
"I have!" Glorfindel said with a smile. "Tidus showed me one. It was fun. I haven't done it again, because there are so many to choose from, and it seems like it is more fun as a group activity. I have come through from time to time, but people are usually in the middle, and that is not a good place to start, I think."

"It is," he agreed with a nod. He sure thought it was a great way of life. It helped that he was head over heels for his king and would've served him with or without the title. "What do you mean your first life? Are elves like cats and have more than one life?"

"Gondolin was where Turgon, that's Fingon's brother, lived. I was one of his Captains, until the city was attacked by the Enemy, Morgoth's forces, and razed to the ground. I helped protect those who escaped, fighting a balrog that tried to stop them. When it died, it dragged me with it, by my hair, which was quite uncalled for," Glorfindel said, glossing over quite a bit of heroics, the sorts of things that get you made the Champion of the Valar.

It was fairly removed from his world with high school and then their quest. A few of the gods had certainly become more important than they used to be.
"Wait.. Fingon? I've heard that name before." He looked around as though the reason might be written on the wall somewhere. It, obviously, wasn't so he scratched his head unsure why he knew it.
He winced hearing about the city. "Our city was just destroyed by our enemy too." He wondered what a balrog was, but decided it might be like one of the monsters on his world. He laughed at the 'uncalled for' comment. He decided he liked this guy. "That must've been really brave to fight .. whatever a balrog was. Is that like a daemon or monster?"
