Just along for the ride (June catchall)
Who: Lea and anyone
Where: Various locations around the train
When: Anytime in the second half of Fiddlesticks
What: Lea finally getting a chance to properly settle into train life after a kind of crazy first couple weeks
Warnings: Probably none. Will update if needed.
Chore Time
A Voidtrecker's work was never done. Though compared to fighting monsters for days on end, cleaning was a snap. Thus he wasn't too bothered by working cleanup in the kitchen, or even helping clean the bathrooms. It proved to be a bit of a juggling act though, especially for the latter, trying to find a time when no one was using them to clean properly. Ah well, he could work with it. Probably.
Movie Time
Lea had finally found a time when the cinema car wasn't in use by anyone else and was scrolling through the various selections available. He half considered calling up a few episodes of Merry Little Voidtrain, but he'd likely want to watch it from the beginning, an that would be difficult to do consistently. Maybe later.
He also considered Lone Star, an action-comedy movie about space-faring rogue. The plot centered around him and his adventures after agreeing to transport a particularly valuable gemstone to a buyer on a distant planet. But there were more than a few other people who wanted it for themselves, and not just for the monetary value. And all along he had to deal with the gemstone's beautiful and sharp-tongued protector, who some of those they encountered also seemed to be after. It looked like it might be a fun way to spend a couple of hours.
But then he spotted something that drove that straight from his mind. "No way...", he said, stunned. He hastily read the description, wanting to make sure it was the real deal, and not a different film with the same title. But no, it was the real thing. A broad, goofy grin spread across his face. They actually had Prismatic Guardians: The Movie. This place was looking better all the time.
Chill Time
Lea sat in the Standard Coach, journal notebook open on his lap and pen in hand, apparently deep in thought. Anyone who looked over his shoulder at the journal page he was working on would see that it contained a list of various items:
Wild Card

Lea sat in the Standard Coach, journal notebook open on his lap and pen in hand, apparently deep in thought. Anyone who looked over his shoulder at the journal page he was working on would see that it contained a list of various items:
Sea-salt ice cream
Potions
Gummi phone
Black Coat?
Other clothes?
Books?
Wild Card

"And yeah, given that I don't have any healing magic, the last mission showed me that potions are likely to be important. Though if we can only get them one at a time, keeping a stock of them might get expensive pretty quick."
no subject
Or, he isn't sure if a potion would really be counted as sentimental... that was the word making him dubious about buying at the cheaper option.
"It's worth a shot anyway, right? I dunno if anyone's tried."
no subject
"Anything else you're planning to get, aside from potions?"
no subject
He sighs at the end of that grumble.
"I never thought I'd be thinking back and trying to remember what we called everything. Plus, most of what we had, my friend Rikku made. She could make anything out of nothing." But he tips his head, a small shrug. "Other than that, I got a gift for another friend. Don't know what'll actually show up though."

"As for what throwing weapons might be called, I'm not sure what that'd be. I mean, there's a lot of stuff you can use as a throwing weapon. Was it something mechanical, or more like a solid piece of metal or something?"
no subject
"There were a few, all different. She used to use the things we'd find!" He waves a hand. "Gems, scales, feathers--all kinds. I'd need to really think to remember. It's fine," he says with a quick smile.
"It's not fun to think about when you want to make your own shopping list. Which... what if you got an ice-cream maker? Are you big into ice cream? I bet someone on the train could help making it."
He glances at Lea's list, upside down as it is, but he's sure he remembers the guy bringing up ice cream. ...unless he just brought it up as an example and that's all.
But an ice cream maker wouldn't be bad to have around.
no subject
He considered the ice cream maker for a moment though. "I usually prefer ice cream bars, but the ice cream maker is a thought. Probably not right off the bat though."
no subject
Weapons and such, no wonder why the guy wasn't jumping on those. Rikku had skills she could use, but anything to do with reworking items and weaponry was beyond Tidus. He certainly was never getting stuck into that. Plain ol' magic was tough enough for him.
"How 'bout a mini freezer for your ice cream bars?" There's a huff of a laugh as Tidus suggests it however. "Gonna have to watch out, wherever you put them. I know I won't think twice taking one for myself."
A pause.
"Well, maybe I would. But I'll still do it!"
Hide yo ice cream, Lea.

"As for what I made... duplicates of accessories from back home mostly. Things to protect against elemental magic like fire and thunder spells. Most recently before I was brought there, though I was working on making a set of magical emergency tracking beacons for my friends and I. Didn't get them finished before I was brought here though."
"Mini-freezer's a good idea, actually. The trick would be finding a place to put it though; no space in the cabins, even if it was just the size of a regular cooler. Space is really at a premium on this ride..."
