Just along for the ride (June catchall)
Who: Lea and anyone
Where: Various locations around the train
When: Anytime in the second half of Fiddlesticks
What: Lea finally getting a chance to properly settle into train life after a kind of crazy first couple weeks
Warnings: Probably none. Will update if needed.
Chore Time
A Voidtrecker's work was never done. Though compared to fighting monsters for days on end, cleaning was a snap. Thus he wasn't too bothered by working cleanup in the kitchen, or even helping clean the bathrooms. It proved to be a bit of a juggling act though, especially for the latter, trying to find a time when no one was using them to clean properly. Ah well, he could work with it. Probably.
Movie Time
Lea had finally found a time when the cinema car wasn't in use by anyone else and was scrolling through the various selections available. He half considered calling up a few episodes of Merry Little Voidtrain, but he'd likely want to watch it from the beginning, an that would be difficult to do consistently. Maybe later.
He also considered Lone Star, an action-comedy movie about space-faring rogue. The plot centered around him and his adventures after agreeing to transport a particularly valuable gemstone to a buyer on a distant planet. But there were more than a few other people who wanted it for themselves, and not just for the monetary value. And all along he had to deal with the gemstone's beautiful and sharp-tongued protector, who some of those they encountered also seemed to be after. It looked like it might be a fun way to spend a couple of hours.
But then he spotted something that drove that straight from his mind. "No way...", he said, stunned. He hastily read the description, wanting to make sure it was the real deal, and not a different film with the same title. But no, it was the real thing. A broad, goofy grin spread across his face. They actually had Prismatic Guardians: The Movie. This place was looking better all the time.
Chill Time
Lea sat in the Standard Coach, journal notebook open on his lap and pen in hand, apparently deep in thought. Anyone who looked over his shoulder at the journal page he was working on would see that it contained a list of various items:
Wild Card

Reno was silent a second and then laughed again. "That, or they'll all think I'm crazy. It's not like having the rookie back me up will amount to much. They'll just think I drove her batshit with me."

"And believe it or not, getting kidnapped by a weird flying train thing is only sort of middling on the scale of 'weird things that have happened to me'. The same is true for a lot of the people I hang out with back home too."
no subject
Reno scratched at his head. "Yeah? Not sure how you can get any crazyier'n this."
He said as if he hasn't fought against alien-hybrids and their remnants and learned some other crazy stuff in his own lifetime. Still, that was oddly familiar and no longer a big concern for him. And, more importantly, he was curious what the other guy would consider weirder than this.

"While I was at this school I eventually reunited with three of my friends from back home, except that I found out they were all from different points in time than me. Also I went to a formal dance with the school's headmaster, who was some kind of mad genius prodigy with a wacky sense of humor. And that's not to mention the time I fought a mural, the time I insulted an overly aggressive pitcher plant's mother, the time I found a really amazing ice cream parlor based around a theme of death and funerals, and too much other weird crap to mention. I think you get the picture though."

Eventually he settled on, "Yeah, uh, I think I did get the picture, yo."
Another moment of silence followed awkwardly at the tail end of that and Reno fidgeted in that span. He found a point of relevance a moment later and spoke about it. "So that thing about different timelines... it's not uncommon here, too. Least if anyone shows up you're already ready for that to be a possibility."
It had been weird for him when it happened. So he had some relation to that feeling. It was odd explaining the future to someone who was just a little behind the times, but assuring his teammate that everything was going to be okay--that was important at the time.

He nodded at the bit about timelines though. "Yeah, at least there's that. ...Course, now that we've said that we've probably jinxed ourselves, and this place'll just come up with something even weirder to hit us with." It would be just his luck if it did, really.

"Ugh, don't encourage the train to make my day worse. It would do it, yanno!" He really wouldn't put it past the train to try it.
