Who: Yugi Mutou and Open
What: Yugi making a mess coming up with gaming ideas as well as playing games to see how they worked. There might also be some actually pondering of what he might be doing next mission.
When: Day 26
Where: Gaming Carriage, Dining Carriage
Warnings: None that I know of.
Dining Carriage
Yugi never really used his notebook all that much, but today was a different story. Today was the day he was using it to jot down various notes. Pausing at each page he soon found himself frustrated ripping out the paper and simply leaving it to the side.
This happened at least a few more times as he sighed, leaning forward in defeat for the time being.
"None of those ideas work in a game format. Besides, I have to take into account what we actually have here and the technology we got to work with." And with that in mind, he was starting to play with the pen a little bit, soon finding himself deep in thought and not paying attention to those around him.
Gaming Carriage Part 1
Yugi had soon gotten an idea to play some of the games, see how they played, get some ideas of how everything worked. As much information as he could get to figure out his own idea of a game. So he had picked out a few games that he had somehow managed to not get around to playing or that normally he wouldn't have thought of playing, but he knew with playing them he could learn more about the mechanics of gaming and maybe that would help him in the long run.
So sitting in one of the bean chairs he started up the first game and started to play. Once again he seemed to be focused on what was in front of him and not what could be going on around him.
Gaming Carriage Part 2
After having played a few games Yugi was sitting in the bean chair and simply looking through his deck that eh always had on him. His thoughts soon were on an idea that had come to him during his last talk with Kaiba. Missions always seemed to involve fighting and Yugi wasn't the biggest fan of using violence. So he had been sorting out his deck for the purpose of an idea that he had in mind, something that he hoped would work in the next mission.
But he didn't want to let any of his friends or boyfriend know what he had been planning, mainly out of the worry that they might try and talk him out of it. So putting his deck away he started to look around to see if there was anyone close by before speaking up.
"Excuse me, can I ask you moment? It won't take long I promise."

"Uhh, hmm... well, I like the video games. Something you can play on the move would be fun." But while his thought is unfinished, he looks over at Yugi. "Can you make anything like that? A video game?"
Was it possible? Considering what they had accessed to (and didn't).

"I guess with the shop it is always possible to get the stuff that is needed."
no subject
That's what he had been thinking before, with having few rules. Or rules that didn't need too much of an explanation. Rather- "Something where you can make a quick demonstration, and people would be able to follow it!"
no subject
"Nothing is coming up right away, but I at least figured a board game of sorts would be the best." Something like hungry hippos or similar where you don't need to talk much and at least writing or having to read it wasn't something that's was needed either.
"It's helped me at least think up possibilities, so thank you for that."

"We need all the distractions we can get around here. 'Til missions roll up."

"But that's because my roommates might be wanting to do other things, so I can't always stay in bed anyway"
no subject
And he's been trying to get in some practices to make sure he was prepared next time. ...well, he had been. Let's not talk about what's actually going on now.

"but it's something at least, but next time I hope I can do more."

Even with equipment, it's a lot of pressure. Tidus raises a hand some.
"But I think that's the first water mission they had, so we'll probably get something dryer next time."
no subject
"Most likely, no two mission types are exactly the same. Before this one it was space related,"
no subject
But he does show some interest to that previous mission. "What was that like? You ever been in space?"
When he thinks about Yugi, Tidus thinks space. But let's not get too hasty with judgments now.
no subject
"But before that... I had never been to space before."
no subject
By the way Tidus's voice deflates, he gets that it doesn't bring up the best memories. Tidus leans on his folded arms, a slight grimace on his face.
"Not what you want your first trip to space to be like." At all. "Would you do a mission like that again? If you knew it was going to be like that?"
no subject
But he was always at least willing to try, even if he gets hurt.
no subject
"You know first aid? That's always good--any situation needs someone to check on people."
no subject
"Not sure basic first aid is at all useful considering how hurt people could possibly get though, unless it's just a scratch or something."
no subject
As it was for him. It didn't make learning new spells easy, but it helped once he knew the basics of what he should be doing, feeling, than starting off from scratch.

Magic was something he was somewhat interested in personally, but if it didn't work out then it didn't work out, he figured he would just found something else he could do.
no subject
Guess who doesn't pay attention that much to know if there's actual proper education happening on the train. He's too busy with other things.
no subject
"But people do set up and can set up classes for various things."
no subject
He tries to think, but for the attempt, he just shrugs again and shakes his head. Nope!
