I couldn't really put it much plainer
Who: Ignis Scientia & Little One
What: Meeting up
Where: On the train, in the dining carriage
When: After the train shaking event is over
After the events of the train had died down, Ignis had made sure he healed whatever passengers he came across. And after that business then he went back to the other place that mattered the most to him besides his room which was of course the dining carriage.
Everything was everywhere and he knew he had a long hard night ahead of him trying to put everything back to the way it had been before. Precious things like herbs and spices had been scattered everywhere and they would need to be repurchased whenever the train stopped again. This didn't even mention the broken glass that seemed to be everywhere now.
With a sigh, Ignis first made himself some coffee, which luckily that had survived. His green eyes surveyed the mess, andhe stood there with the coffee cup in hand, mentally cataloguing where to start. But then he got down on his hands and knees and began to clean glass and whatever else was broken and scattered. As he worked though, the advisor thought he heard footsteps, so he pushed his glasses up with his fingers and turned to see who was here now with him.

She was very hungry and this looked delicious. He had even put honey on the fish and carrots. It was the closest to food she was used to she had had since arriving on the train. She grinned a delighted smile.
Silence as a very hungry girl eats.

That gave him time to finish his coffee and get himself another cup. It also gives him time to get the cheesecake finished.
no subject
"I do be thanking you." She remembers her manners eventually. "It do be being very nice."
no subject
"I have plenty more should you still be hungry or I can save it for later. And the cheesecake should be done here in a little bit."
He couldn't even begin to say that he was impressed with her manners, but someone had taught her very well.
no subject
"Do you no be wanting to be eating too?"
no subject
"Then no more fish and carrots for now. I don't quite have the clean up capacity for an exploded little girl."
More clean up was needed after the whole cheesecake had gotten done and he nodded. "I have some set aside. I find that I'm in need of coffee instead of food right at the moment." So he turned away to get it. "How are you doing on you juice? Do you need a refill?"
no subject
She peered at her juice and shook her head, there was still plenty left. "You do be liking coffee a lot?"
no subject
Turning his eyes to the little girl now, the advisor nodded. "I've found that it's like having an old friend visit from back home."
no subject
She missed them, but it was hard enough keeping herself hidden and small on this train without further complications.
On the flip side it would be so much easier just to follow orders, to have someone here who knew things and could tell her the best course of action. Figuring it out all by herself was hard. Especially with people like Tony ready to hurt her the moment she put a toe out of line.
The one person she wanted here wouldn't come. Not ever so she wasn't even worth thinking about.
"It do be... a thing that do making you happy?" She tried to understand.
no subject
Nodding to her question, he looked at her thoughtfully. "I've certainly found that sometimes it's the small things in life that give the greatest happiness." Though to be honest if Ignis could just go home he'd be extremely happy. But then again, none of them belonged here.
"Cooking is another thing that brings joy."
no subject
She smiled at him as she sipped her apple juice. It was clear how much he liked to cook and in her opinion it made his food taste better. At least that had been some of the tastiest food she'd ever had! And the food people made on this train was already pretty good!

Turning to look into the refrigerator and then looked back at the little girl. "The cheesecake looks about ready. You saved room didn't you?"
no subject
She had little knowledge of how the fridge worked, except it was cold. Impossibly cold.
no subject
"Alright, one piece of cheesecake coming up then."
Turning around, he reached for a plate up in the cupboard and grabbed it. Fetching a fork and a knife, the advisor cut the first piece for his guest and gave her a napkin along with the fork.
no subject
It was good. Creamy and not really like cheese at all. Sweet. She grinned around her mouthful, eating happily.

And he turned back around to get some of he dinner and refilled his coffee. The next thing he did was to get his own slice of cheesecake. Coming back to the little girl, he couldn't help but smile at the blissful face he saw.
Small things indeed.
