Let's Have a Party!
Who: Everyone!
What: Throwing a party
Where: Gym carriage
When: Early Evening- early morning, Apple 28
It was three days after the incident with the train and right at two weeks since they'd been allowed to get off this train and roam a new world. Sure somewhere in there, they'd had a brief reprieve involving a new platform and mess of newcomers, but that had hardly counted as a break from the train. So, the point was, they needed a chance to blow off some steam. What better way than organize a party and roll out the last of his ale to share?
He'd recruited Sarai and Maglor to play their harps and/ or sing for music; Ignis, Ash and Evie to make hors d'oeuvres, Dread and Peter to bring in some chairs; and rigged a lamp and some cloth to make a disco ball-like display in the room (which he made Peter to promise not to touch).
Now he just had to get the guests on the dance floor... to harp music? He misses 'regular' music. Sigh.

"It is nice to finally meet you. My name is Ash." Ash gave Sarai a small head bow as she spoke. "I did come with the last group. A surprisingly welcoming group, given the circumstance. The adjustment for me likely wasn't as difficult as some - used to traveling quite a bit thanks to home." She wasn't fortunate enough to have a permanent set of roots anywhere back on the Source - not that she really ever made it a priority to have a home there. Her home base was always the Skysteel Manufactory, but she never stayed there for very long. "I hope you have not found the transition too difficult yourself." Ash doubted that Sarai had much difficulty, but it was polite.

"Finally meet me?" She arched a brow, then, and smiled. "Have you met Dread, then?" It seemed a logical conclusion--not that they both weren't terribly sappy about each other, at times. But she didn't seem inclined to dwell on the Roegadyn--likely because she had to get back to harping, sooner rather than later.
"Traveling--you and I both. I'm a bit uncertain about the train, especially since we've not seen the conductor, but...what can you do? We're not actually being harmed--even if the recent mishap is somewhat suspicious." She gave a slight huff at that, and shook her head. "Though finding myself no longer on Hydaelyn was a bit jarring."

Ash gave a nod at the mention of Dread. Tony had mentioned her as well a time or two, but how Ash came to know of Sarai on a train with a very limited population didn't matter all that much. They had seen each other around, surely, just never really had the chance to talk for one reason or another.
"I admit that I had begun to grow something remotely close to comfortable until the train's failure." Comfortable in the sense that she had finally started to let her guard down. "...I would prefer to write that off as a one time event." If that was going to happen more often then Ash wasn't sure what she was going to do. One panic attack was enough, thanks. There was a little bit of a longer silence before Ash spoke again, this time in a low voice, as if she didn't want anyone else to hear. "Do you feel the Mothercrystal here?" Ash wasn't overly in tune with Hydaelyn the deity even before the cleavening - she lost anything she had after traveling to the Source. This had been nibbling at the back of her brain recently and she genuinely wanted to know.

"I--" Sarai started. "I hadn't given it much thought. I thought surely--" But she'd called upon the power of the Echo at least once, so it hadn't been like when Midgardsormr had blocked Hydaelyn's blessing from her. But she hadn't attempted anything else...
"I'm not certain I should now, in a room full of people. And when I should be harping, soon. But I shall, and I'll get back to you when I do. You'd be welcome to come along and talk while I play, but I should get back."
Sarai was perfectly confident in her ability to play and talk at the same time, since she wasn't going to be asked to sing. Maglor had the better voice, anyway.
