Let's Have a Party!
Who: Everyone!
What: Throwing a party
Where: Gym carriage
When: Early Evening- early morning, Apple 28
It was three days after the incident with the train and right at two weeks since they'd been allowed to get off this train and roam a new world. Sure somewhere in there, they'd had a brief reprieve involving a new platform and mess of newcomers, but that had hardly counted as a break from the train. So, the point was, they needed a chance to blow off some steam. What better way than organize a party and roll out the last of his ale to share?
He'd recruited Sarai and Maglor to play their harps and/ or sing for music; Ignis, Ash and Evie to make hors d'oeuvres, Dread and Peter to bring in some chairs; and rigged a lamp and some cloth to make a disco ball-like display in the room (which he made Peter to promise not to touch).
Now he just had to get the guests on the dance floor... to harp music? He misses 'regular' music. Sigh.

So it's a cranky and antsy Manabu who, in his idle rounds of moving from car to car in search of...anything to break up the boredom, really, who starts to notice a pattern of people gravitating toward the gym car. Unclear why, he lets himself in and...squints.
"Uh...what's...all this now?"
A meeting? Was he not invited? He doesn't really look at the ICP, so, maybe, but-- Wait. How did someone unbolt chairs for this.

"People on the train were getting cranky, so I thought it was time for a party. Just don't touch the disco ball, it's.. precarious." As in, it wasn't very well made but for now it was doing it's job shining lights around the room in a festive manner.

She doesn't bother to answer, but continues. "We can invite all our friends, and have soda and pie!" A beat, her face falling. "I hope no bad people come!"
But that makes her snicker. "Too bad I'm already here! Come on, want to go check out the food table?"

Refreshments!
The food nearby is plentiful and beautifully arranged thanks to Ignis and the rest of the cooking staff.
Tony keeps himself busy for a while ladling out drinks and helping himself to a glass every so often too.

He has to admit that the train party is definitely a step up. Far from boring even if the disco ball is certain to give him one hell of a headache. And the music is exquisite because of course, it is.

She is totally taking a small glass of the hard apple cider and almost reverently sipping it. "And do you know if we can get any more?"
There's a noticeable lack of pink shadow with her, too.

Dancing!
It had been a long time since boarding school and cotillion clubs but he knew how to dance something other than 'club dancing'. In one of this attempts to get people on the dance floor, he spots Gwen and takes her hand. "Come on, kid, we gotta show these people how to party."
[Tony's open to dance with anyone.]
Re: Dancing!
She'd missed it. God, did she miss it.
So when Mr Stark takes her hand and pulls her to the dance floor, it's not so much being pulled as she's happily following, practically already skipping to the beat.
"Are you sure you want to dance? Because I've been dancing since I was three."
But she stops, and listens to the rhythm of the music.
"This sounds pretty close to a three-step." But..wait. She thinks she has it wrong. "No. I lied. A waltz."

Chilling!
Later in the evening, Tony finds a comfortable spot to sip some cider and watch the dance floor.

Ash | OTA
Once the festivities started she would keep a cup of ale in one hand and occasionally something to nibble on in the other. She could be found leaning against a wall where she was out of the way, watching the festivities go on. This was certainly something that was well put together (given the limited resources) and she was a bit impressed with it all. Sarai and Maglor was doing a great job with the music, the food was good, Dread and Peter even brought in some chairs to sit at.
[ OOC: Feel free to tag her with whatever. Bringing her a drink refill, bringing her some food, asking her to dance, just some chatter - literally whatever. She's super chill. The only thing she may smack you over is if you try to touch her ears. ]

By the time Eva makes her way over to Ash, she's switched to a cup of ale. Not as good as cider, but well. there's not a lot of that and plenty of ale. "Or just taking a bit of a break?"

So, here she was, a refill of ale for Ash, almost succeeding at not looking as uncomfortable as she felt. Almost. "Guess we needed it."

Under-aged Drinking Happening here- For Gwen
"Here!" He hands Gwen the glass and then quickly looks behind him and around to make sure there are no adults in the vicinity before holding his glass up.
"Well... bottoms up, I guess." He goes to tag his glass with hers.
Re: Under-aged Drinking Happening here- For Gwen
For one thing, it smelled terrible. Like...armpit of Satan terrible. Crawling through the sewers to find a giant wolf creature terrible. She wasn't too sure about this, but Peter tapped his glass with hers and Gwen resigns herself to the fact that yes, this was a thing they were doing.
"Bottoms up," Gwen says, going to take a good sized sip and instantly regretting it. The Ale goes down, Gwen fighting her urge to spit the stuff back out, and she really can't prevent the horrified look on her face.
"Oh, my G..." She can't finish that comment. She's just coughing too much from how gross that is.
"What the hell are adults thinking?!"

Renee | OTA
She's also sort of using her powers on it--both for practice, and to speed up or slow down the ball so she can catch it. It's not perfect, especially since she's doing it one-handed. She never did try to harass Lightning for healing, and Renee figures it's probably too late now. Which is no big deal, to her.
It's entirely possible she'll lose control of the ball and send it skittering into the public, but let's hope not...
no subject
"Hey there Reness! Oh uh. Reness-Renee. How are you? we haven't talked in a while? I mean I've been out of uh.. stuff? Sorts. Whatever. How are you?" He watches her expectantly.

Harping and singing!
He smirks a challenge Sarai's way and adjusts his playing to a more upbeat tempo better suited for dancing.

You know what also felt amazing? Being around everyone! Not being attacked! Eating gourmet meals every day! Not that one day where everything went to shit and they all almost suffocated! But definitely the meals and the peaceful days!
All of this was being spewed out as a ticker-tape silk message in schoolgirl Japanese, although whether any of it was actually coherent enough for the train's translation effect to grasp was anyone's guess.
She was probably in someone's lap or pinning someone to a wall at this point; standing on all eight legs was a hassle.
no subject
Further observation: spiders can't hold their liquor (figuratively, ale is not a liquor by any means) and eight legs are impossible to coordinate while heavily inebriated. Though he doesn't really know what to do with that information.

Evie - OTA
She feels a bit uncomfortable, though, if only because she doesn't feel like she's appropriately dressed for it. Parties in Auradon were grand affairs where people wore their best. Parties on the Isle were riotous affairs where people wore their most villainous and most badass attire.
Here she was, in the stupid outfit provided by who the heck knows. She'd alter it if she could, but the sewing kits were barely enough to do anything with. So she left it alone.
At least she managed to do her hair, straightening it out and braiding in her customary crown braid. That, at least, is something.
Nope. Still uncomfortable. Send help. Please and thanks.
no subject
"You don't seem too happy." No, that's something anyone could figure out. Right? Maybe?
Sarai - on break from harping!
She's not the most ladylike--even the Warrior of Light has to take breaks where they can, and so Sarai's cramming tidbits into her mouth as quickly as she can. She's not going to leave her harping companion in a lurch, after all. Still, she'd be open to conversation--or a quick dance, if that's an option!
no subject
"Good, right? Better than the food from taverns. We have some real chefs on board." They likely did not live up to the feasts that Sarai and Dread likely had with the royalty of the land, but they were talented as far as Ash was concerned.
