[OPEN] we like sportz
Who: Open to everyone! Learning some sports, making some friends?
Where: Gymnasium
When: Grasshopper 20-22 (or the rest of grasshopper if you like!)
What: Getting people to play some sports, whether as beginners or finding people more on their level! Also can come in here for your personal sports games if you like?
Warnings: sportz. flying balls. (no)
As per Tidus's proposal on the netwrok on the 19th, the gymnasium has been set up around the next few days (or more!) around lunchtime--whenever those busy cooks in the kitchen deem it to be lunchtime--to hold a few ball games for all. It doesn't matter when a person comes in or their skill level, or even what they want to play. While there's a few set games, anyone is free to take the time to show off a sports game they're good at!
The set games are:
For those looking for a more easy-paced game, badminton or even table tennis may be recommended; the former easier to go with if you treat it like my secondary school P.E. classes and launch the shuttlecock into the air; the latter found at the table of the gym with its own fold out tables for games!
Jugs and beakers have been brought in from the kitchen with water for anyone who gets parched, set in a corner where....hopefully no stray balls (or other) will find themselves being flung into. While Tidus has put this together and can be chatted to, he's letting anyone who knows more about the games to lead things as they like!
( ooc: this is just a chill 'come play sportz' thing that you can play at your leisure! also feel free to pick a sports game that isn't listed, BYOS (Bring Your Own Sports), w/e w/e. )

The set games are:
- Soccer: A team sport played with a spherical ball between two teams of 11 players. The game is played on a rectangular field called a pitch with a goal at each end. Numbers make this one tricky to play with a full two teams, but two or four players are possible.
- Volleyball: A game for two teams, usually of six players, in which a large ball is hit by hand over a high net, the aim being to score points by making the ball reach the ground on the opponent's side of the court.
- Badminton: A racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" and "doubles".

OI YOU ORAYT THERE M8YT
What happened? Maybe we should get some ice. [ He shakes his head. ] I apologize, Inigo. If it was a sensitive topic talking about your kingdom, then I won't bring it up in the future. [ He is flanked by this tag team of concern, now! It doesn't occur to Roland that Inigo spaced out for other reasons... ]
get paid get laid gatorade
But then there's suddenly both Tidus and Roland in his field of view, and even through everything in his head momentarily feels like a blur, their concern is obvious. It'd be touching at any other moment, but right now nothing but base instinct can kick in for Inigo - and his base instinct is, of course, to play it all off.
So he slowly sits up once Roland lets go of his face. He's still a little dizzy, and as Inigo can feel him tilting towards one side, he quickly leans on Tidus's knee to prevent himself from falling over and looking like a total idiot. ]
No, 'm-- I'm fine. [ It's half-mumbled, and he waves his free, non-leaning hand dismissively. ] Wasn't that hard.. I just.. just didn't know Roland was a king. Never figured...

[ Tidus has decided: There is absolutely no chatting about anything but the game around Inigo. Ever. The guy's head can't handle it! Especially not at the rate it's receiving abuse from every single ball in the gymnasium. Then again, it might help harden it for actual serious gaming...! ]
Here, [ Tidus starts, not making it an offer as his hands come out to either side of Inigo's head, careful before he lightly settles his fingertips into his hair behind his ears. The air around Tidus lifts as he summons magic, and soft glow and golden strings manifest and dance off his hands. A light healing spell, to ease any pain and dizziness.
And it's supplied quick, Tidus lowering his arms again soon enough. ]
You can't get shocked by everything, you know? [ Here comes the playful chiding. ] You don't make it a big deal. Roland doesn't make his thing a big deal either! Plus he's an adviser now, so he actually got demoted.
[ Technically. ]

More like promoted. [ He was still President in the first world. Still king. Even if he had rule over nothing. Maybe. Who knows? But this is not what he says, no never. ] Becoming Chief Consul for a great king like Evan isn't a bad gig at all. It's an honor to be his second-in-command.
[ See what you get for talking about Work Things during a ball game, Tidus? :| But Roland isn't one to let go of the details, and as soon as Inigo is steady and able, he offers him a hand to stand back up. His expression is intrigued, like he's been told a very interesting secret. ]
He's right, though. Don't worry about things like titles, not on this train. It just means I've got some experience behind my belt, nothing more. [ He loves saying that. It's an understatement he'll never get tired of. ] Hmm. "'You' don't make it a big deal," huh Inigo...? I see. That means you're royalty in your kingdom. [ He's a smart guy; he can put two and two together. ]
I hope you can tell me more about your home soon, Your Majesty. [ It's said in half-jest and half-fondness. He's completely engrossed in this fact, though. This whole train could be one giant summit with the amount of kings, queens, princesses and princes he was meeting and befriending.]

Inigo cringes so hard inwardly the moment he hears Roland catch on to the meaning of Tidus's words. He hates this. He hates that Tidus just had to mention it in front of Roland. He hates that Roland knows now. But at the same time Inigo knows it's not really Tidus's fault - he never made it very clear to the other guy just how much of a big deal it is to Inigo, and how much of a bigger deal it is to keep it secret.
So he immediately tries to put out the petty feeling it awakens in him, especially since Tidus was nice enough to heal him.
And after a moment of hesitation he even accepts Roland's help to get back up on his feet. Inigo sucks in a deep breath as he does so, ready to force his attitude to seem normal to hell and back if necessary. ]
Ah, well.. like Tidus said, it's no big deal at all!
[ Inigo laughs, shaking his head. It's such a big deal. He's dying. Help. ]
I'm not even heir to the throne, so what does it matter, right? But-- [ Inigo turns to look at Tidus, a little pouty, but trying to not be full on huffy after the healing. ] I'll admit that maaaybe I was a little too shocked over the whole dolphin thing last time, but I think my surprise was pretty warranted this time around!

Inigo, admittedly, is a hard guy for Tidus to read, sometimes. There's this discrepancy; the guy that he thinks he knows, and then the times where he finds himself second-guessing himself. A reaction he expects to see but doesn't get.
It isn't that Inigo isn't a person who can react however he want, but when he gets up, laughing, more like someone accidentally knocked over on a walk and nevermind, nevermind, oh, it's no bother--no, that isn't right.
So when Inigo turns to him, Tidus is already watching him with an uncertain expression. Inigo should be whining at him about being hit by a ball, having a go at him, telling him off. Tidus isn't sure what to make of it, picking himself up onto his own feet, going to where the ball rolled across the floor. ]
Who wants to think about titles right now? Let's play ball! Right now, I'm the guy with the biggest rank over both of you! Star player? Remember? I'm a pro-athlete!
[ So let's just try and push aside everything said before, don't give time to think about any of it but the game. Put the attention on him, whatever, as he heads over to that corner of the court -- useless in this bizarre three person game -- to play the serve. ]
C'mon, c'mon, no talking!

He does note it for later, though. ]
I find it a little ironic that you're brushing aside our combined royalty here - [ Roland jests as he walks to his side of the court in their strange little set-up, regardless of the placement of the net, smirk on his face with a hand gesture to signal both himself and Inigo. ] - but you're throwing rank about being the number one player!
[ Roland bends forward slightly, getting ready for the real game. He knows what Tidus can be like riled up, and he wasn't about to look the fool. ] Time to walk the talk, pro!
