When: Grasshopper 20-22 (or the rest of grasshopper if you like!)
What: Getting people to play some sports, whether as beginners or finding people more on their level! Also can come in here for your personal sports games if you like?
Warnings: sportz. flying balls. (no)

As per Tidus's proposal on the netwrok on the 19th, the gymnasium has been set up around the next few days (or more!) around lunchtime--whenever those busy cooks in the kitchen deem it to be lunchtime--to hold a few ball games for all. It doesn't matter when a person comes in or their skill level, or even what they want to play. While there's a few set games, anyone is free to take the time to show off a sports game they're good at!

The set games are:

• Soccer: A team sport played with a spherical ball between two teams of 11 players. The game is played on a rectangular field called a pitch with a goal at each end. Numbers make this one tricky to play with a full two teams, but two or four players are possible.
  
  
• Volleyball: A game for two teams, usually of six players, in which a large ball is hit by hand over a high net, the aim being to score points by making the ball reach the ground on the opponent's side of the court.
  
  
• Badminton: A racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" and "doubles".

For those looking for a more easy-paced game, badminton or even table tennis may be recommended; the former easier to go with if you treat it like my secondary school P.E. classes and launch the shuttlecock into the air; the latter found at the table of the gym with its own fold out tables for games!

Jugs and beakers have been brought in from the kitchen with water for anyone who gets parched, set in a corner where....hopefully no stray balls (or other) will find themselves being flung into. While Tidus has put this together and can be chatted to, he's letting anyone who knows more about the games to lead things as they like!

( ooc: this is just a chill 'come play sportz' thing that you can play at your leisure! also feel free to pick a sports game that isn't listed, BYOS (Bring Your Own Sports), w/e w/e. )

[ He seems rather glad that Tidus gets it, rather than making any jokes about it that are highly likely to make Inigo both flustered and uncomfortable all at the same time.

(He even manages to nail the exact reason why Inigo hasn't exactly had rating people's attractiveness much on the mind recently, though unbeknownst to Inigo.) ]

Erm, exactly to the first part of what you said, that is, not the second part. I mean.. is it really?

[ Yes, of course it's a question that Inigo needs to ask him! He doesn't get it! ]

Isn't that exactly why I can't just-- just say hi? You saw the way she reacted! [ He steps closer to Tidus, as if he can make his point more clear that way. ] Women are terrifying! She could have snapped my spine in half with her bare hands!

Duh! That's why you say hi, read her reaction! You don't go straight to offering yourself on a platter! That's asking for trouble!

You just need to calm down, relax! Just talk to them... like you would a guy!

But they're not a guy.

[ This should be an easy argument to follow, yet apparently it isn't to Inigo.. It's like he's missing some critical point here, since he frowns at Tidus in genuine confusion at the other's statement. How is he supposed to talk to them like he would to a guy if they're not guys?! That just doesn't make sense! ]

[ you dumb. Inigo never mi-lorded him when they first met so this is obviously what the guy's got to do, right?? This can't go wrong! ...it can but it shouldn't. Tidus is trying his best here! ]

Pretend?! [ He sounds so offended. Like Tidus just asked him to do something completely ridiculous. ]

How can I.. just pretend?! They're women, no amount of pretending is going to change that! Are you saying I should just be able to pretend you are a girl too?

[ Suddenly Inigo is just.

Looking At Tidus.

Like he's trying really hard to do exactly that this very moment. ]

I mean, you have a handsome face.. but not pretty in that girl sort of way, you know?

[ Please wait a moment while Tidus plants his hands over his face.

Okay.

Okay. Removing- ] I mean treat them normally! Like you did me! Just say hi! You don't need to flirt with them, it's okay!

[ But also, GONNA POINT AT YOU INIGO. ] And don't try and picture me as a girl again!

[flatteries]

[ Inigo frowns - since he's still thinking about this whole point Tidus is trying to make to him, and thinking is hard - but dismissively waves a hand at the other. ]

It's alright, I like you better as a guy anyway. [ What is that supposed to mean. ]

But I can't just pretend-- I mean, it's impossible to not notice they're girls! [ Unless they were looking particularly androgynous, anyway. ] And the moment I notice that, I get all.. all nervous! I can't help it!

[blitzcheer]

What's that sup... [ ..posed to mean!? Gah! He stops because Inigo goes on, and actually, he doesn't want to know. Because he should like him better as a guy!! The weirdo! ]

But why? If you don't even like them as much as guys, what's the problem!

[ He's not going to stop asking this when Inigo's explanations just make everything more confusing! ]

[flatteries]

I.. I don't know! Do you think I'd still be walking around with this problem by now if I knew?!

[ Therapists weren't exactly a thing back in medieval fantasy times, okay. Just saying. ]

I have no idea why, it just.. [ He makes a very, very vague hand gesture. ] happens! I'm sorry that we can't all be calm around the ladies like you!

[ He tries to think about it for a moment longer, but no. No. This is dumb! He can't get it even if he tries! ]

Guh--let's talk about it another time! [ he gives up! ] Ask Nita! She's smart--maybe she knows!

[ Is Nita their resident know-all about absolutely anything? Maybe, but it's more because she's a girl that he's thinking about her... but also- ]

Let's just play ball for now.

[flatteries]

[ Inigo's jaw drops just about to the floor. ]

I can't just talk about it to Nita!

[ That may just be the worst suggestion he's ever heard Tidus make.

And he's heard some stuff. ]

But.. argh, fine! Never mind! L-Let's just play!

Wait. [ Wait a second, Inigo.




] --How about we talk to the whole train about it?

[flatteries]

[ You have no idea how tempted he is to throw that ball in Tidus's face right now. It's a good thing Inigo isn't a very violent person. ]

The whole train?! [ He does, however, very much look like he's about to have an aneurysm on the spot now. ] Wha-- Why--

[ He makes about three more attempts at finding the right question here before ending on: ]

Are you kidding? Is this a joke?!

[ Sorry Inigo, but at least you get your answer just as you're asking that question, Tidus bursting out laughing at the absolute breakdown Inigo was suffering there.

[ TIDUS?!

IS HIS BREAKDOWN A JOKE TO YOU. HE'S GOING TO GET A HEART ATTACK.

And maybe Inigo ought to do something reasonable. Like walk away from this situation. Or not freak out. Or even go cry on Roland or something.

But no, he's still in the middle of emotional panic, which means he's quite literally just jumping right on top of Tidus in an attempt to get him to stop laughing.

And probably make them both barrel straight to the ground. ]

[ oh you better believe they're barrelling to the ground. It's a heap! A heap of two guys after one yelps (that would be Tidus), not the most softest landing in his life, but not the hardest either.

And maybe he should be incredulous and questioning Inigo why he did that and so forth and so forth, but--

The laughing picks back up quickly, and instead he's pushing the guy away before rolling on his other side out of protection. Protection of his laughter!! You can't get him over here, Inigo!! ]

[ Well, so that was useless. Sure, there was a very momentary interruption of that laughter, but now it's started all over again.

And they're lying on the ground on top of it now.

Inigo doesn't even bother to move. He doesn't go after Tidus when the other rolls onto his side. Instead he just lies on his back after Tidus has shoved him off, staring up at the ceiling, looking every bit like he's regretting every single life decision that has led up to this point. ]

See if I'm ever telling you anything about me again. [ There's multiple reasons why he doesn't do it!! This is one of them right here! ]

[blitzcheer]

[ awwwwwwwwww inigo's sulkiiiing!

Here they are though, two guys on a dirty gym floor. Tidus's laughing dying down to light chuckles, to a permanent grin; and he turns over onto his back, met with that boring view of the ceiling above. ]

Aww, come on. Why not? You don't mean it. [ Now that he's thinking about it- ] I don't even know a lot about you. 'Cept you like playing cards the wrong way.

[flatteries]

[ You think that's sulking?

Oh, dear, sweet, innocent Tidus. You haven't seen anything yet. Because Inigo groans. ]

I mean it.

[ So much so that now he's the one rolling over onto his side, back turned towards where Tidus is lying on his back. ]

I let you know one embarrassing thing about me and you immediately turn it into a joke!

[blitzcheer]

No I didn't! [ Innocent rebuffing here!! ] I turned talking about it to the entire train a joke! That's different! I'd never pick on you for your.... thing.

[ What even to call it? Girl-fear? ]

Speaking of... does the chest size matter?

[flatteries]

[ Inigo rolls back over to face Tidus.

If Tidus bothers to look over, the look on his face is just so exasperated. ]

Alright. Now you have to tell me. Is that really that fascinating to guys who are into girls? [ He doesn't get the appeal! Even when he can objectively tell a girl is pretty, he's never thought much about their chest area in that equation. ]

[blitzcheer]

Uh. Yeah? [ Wow way to sound not into girls at all here, pal. ]

I mean, personality wins overall, but if she's got a nice chest...

[ Here, let him take a hand over and squeeze the air by Inigo's pecs. Squeeze squeeze. ]

You know? [ You know?? ]

[ He gives Tidus such a quizzical look.

And it's not even just because Tidus is attempting to squeeze his air boobies over here. ]

No?

[ He sounds so confused. Was that part not clear, Tidus. ]

What.. do you even do with it? [ Do you really think he's ever gotten that far with a girl, pal?! Considering Tidus already knows about his girl-weirdness, he might as well admit that implication with the question. ]
