A new platform [intro post September]
For those on the train
“Good morning passengers, it is day one of the month of Bassoon.” The train announces the morning the month changes. It seems the train counts months in days of thirty. Team Points have been updated on the system.
The day continues as most days do, chores, eating, getting ready for another day. But those who suspect that a change of month may bring something else are correct. It is only an hour or two later that there is another announcement.
“Shortly arriving into a designated void platform. Exit from void imminent.”
By now they should know to hold on as the train jerks and jolts. There is only fog outside the windows but the train soon comes to a stop. The doors hiss open.
As they exit into the fog they may notice Evie exiting from the luggage carriage door. Much like Hibiki the last time they were on a platform. She leaves the train, backpack on her back as she walks through the station. She heads no call, reacts to no words and cannot be stopped as she walks to the ticket barrier and disappears through it.
Strange. But even stranger still is that there on the platform that whole time is Evie. Dressed in purple, backpack on back, with her are others. Waiting for the train.
For new arrivals
At first all they can see if steam. Billowing around them as they come to their senses. They are standing, in clothes that are not their own, styles they might not even recognise. They are carrying a rucksack on your back. For a moment it seems to just be them, alone in the white haze but then the steam begins to fade and they realise they aren’t alone.
The platform is not very large, but it hold twelve figures all facing the tracks, all wearing similar clothing. The tracks stretch left and right into steam, or perhaps fog. Nothing can be seen to either side. There is a wall around the platform and the only entrance is a ticket barrier. It cannot be open, nor do there seem to be any staff.
What there is, is a train. Jet black and gleaming where it stands on the rails.Voidtrecker Express is emblazoned in the engine in gold. There is a hiss as the doors slide open.
Out step a selection of people, some less human than others, wearing clothes just like those worn by those on the platform.
The Train
The doors hiss open. Those from the train may encourage those on the platform to board. It’s not like there is anywhere else to go and even if there was, you feel a pull. A need to board, a feeling that staying on the platform would not be a good thing.
Once on board there is lots to explore. Passengers both old and new will hopefully be delighted to see the boredom of this train journey is somewhat alleviated by the introduction of a game carriage. Plenty of games, both familiar and new to play with your new travelling companions.
Each ICP shows the same message. If Red team go and look they will find a box in the luggage compartment that contains their prize. A dralite themed cake lolly each. There are enough for the new members of Red team too, share in your teams previous success!
The food stores have been topped up with new fresh food. Salmon has taken over as the primary ingredient of choice. Hopefully everyone likes fish!
New passengers will find their tickets allow them into their cabins. They may need to negotiate for beds, especially if they want a top bunk!
Room is tight but there are storage cubbies at the head of each bed, beds fold up and the bottom bunks double as benches for the small table. There is storage under those benches and you will hopefully find a pillow for your bed if it has not been nabbed by a roommate, there are also spare blankets for if it gets cold.
Departure
A second horn sounds to encourage any stragglers and the doors slide shut. For those who boarded two weeks ago they will know what is coming next.
The train sets off, the fog obscuring the view as it picks up speed.
"Welcome aboard, passengers of the Voidtrecker Express.” A female-coded artificial sounding voice echoes throughout the train. "Please take the time to read the passenger information displayed on the Information and Communication points and familiarise yourself with the layout and emergency exits."
The train begins to tilt, leaving the ground and rising up into the fog filled sky.
"Entrance into Voidspace imminent. New passengers are advised to remain seated."
Hopefully someone warns you that you really want to heed that warning because a moment later there is a shudder, a jolt, a lurch to the left. A flash of light, colourful and blinding.
As quick as it happens it is done. The train seems to steady. The fog from the windows is gone now, replaced with a kaleidoscope of ever changing colours.
Welcome to voidspace.

Evie Grimhilde - OTA
Evie's very, very confused by this whole situation. She'd been running, heading to the Isle with her three closest friends. Heading to see their parents after so long and suddenly she was on a train platform. There was no train heading to the Isle, and she certainly didn't have anything with her.
Nor had she been wearing purple.
And to make matters even more befuddling, the flash of blue hair that flies nearby is jarring. She'd recognize that hair anywhere It was hers. She'd styled it in so many mirrors that there was no mistaking it.
However, just when she goes to follow herself and demand answers (because this has to be either a spell or a very weird dream), her other self is gone and Evie's starting to feel that pull to move. Towards the train.
[On Board. ]
Evie can be found in several places once she's on board. Her first stop is the sleeper car she's apparently staying in, dropping her stuff off in Sleeper Car E1 and inspecting the room. It's small, and there are clearly others that are staying in here, so Evie's decided she's going to do her best to get along with them, even if they are complete strangers.
Later, she'll be in the new game car, looking at everything inside with some amusement. Video games were not her thing. That was more Jay and Carlos. But the board games looked like fun. There were ones she'd never even heard of and she was currently inspecting a box for the game Operation, reading over the instructions carefully. It looked like a kids game. She'd already seen a few small children on board in passing. Maybe she'll convince one of them to play it with her. She was missing Dizzy and Celia and the twins terribly at this point, so finding other children to look out for was a small goal for her.
[ The Barrier between the Conductor and the Passengers ]
Of all the stupid things Evie's ever seen, it was this barrier. She was used to barriers in general, having grown up on an island surrounded by one. But that barrier was (at the time) there for a reason. It kept the bad people from making life miserable for all of the good people. But then all the bad people started having kids who didn't deserve to be there, a whole lot of crazy stuff happened, and now the barrier was down with magic.
But even with Mal's spellbook in her hands, Evie had a feeling magic wouldn't make this barrier budge a hair. Not that she'd tried it. She'd considered it, even went back to her room to get her friends spellbook, but something told her it was a very bad idea to use a spell.
So she's inspecting it, trying to find a seam or a button or some hidden door handle. She had questions for the conductor and from the way her face is very slowly going from Angry HBIC to defeated, it looks as though she's realizing those questions won't be answered by the one person she wants answers from.
[wildcard. choose your own out of Kitchen where she's getting herself some fruit to eat or reading Mal's spellbook in the Standard Coach, picking at a bowl of grapes as she does so.

Platform
So, of course she was confused when, who does she see in the crowd of newcomers but that very same girl.
"What-" A shake of her head then Eva is moving towards her, face etched with confusion and a pink pseudo-rabbit-like pokemon at her heels, small vestigial wings semi-flared for balance as he follows. "E-Evie?"
Re: Platform
The worrying thing was how the other girl said it. There’s familiarity there and Evie has no idea who the girl is.
“I’m Evie. Hello.” No recognition from the blueberry princess, not even when she looks at Eva’s friend with some confusion.
no subject
While she was on the platform.
This is only as awkward as she makes it and she barely knew Evie. Others won't be so lucky.
She could walk away; this isn't her problem. Or she could step up and do her best to explain.
"I'm Eva, and this is Princess. He's a pokemon, a creature from my world. It's nice to meet you." She gives a short bow of greeting. "We need to get on the train. I- I can explain then. How I know you."
no subject
“What train is this? I’ve never seen one like it in Auradon. Where is it going?”
Wait.
“You know me? Was it from an interview on tv?” The isn’t a smug question. It’s curiosity. She has her doubts.

Kitchen of course
"An, Evie, you're just in time for lunch and tea., I've made salmon teriyaki since the train has quite a bit of it in stock.
For her he would make something else, not being fully acquainted with all of her likes and dislikes food wise.
and the friendship starts again.
As does this guy offering her food, which she appreciates.
She gives him a warm, if not cautious smile, tilting her head in thanks.
"It sounds lovely," she states, standing to her full (and slightly taller than her previous selves) height.
"I have to ask, though. You knew the other me that was here, right? Because I'm not her. I'm still Evie, but I don't remember you."
no subject
Green eyes blinked in confusion as she had said she didn't remember him because he didn't know how that even possible. "You don't remember me?" His mind raced at the strangeness of it all. "But you were just here.." Did the train landing and leaving again have something to do with this..sort of time anamoly?
With a somewhat resigned sigh, the advisor set the plate of food down. He'd enjoy her company for now and then figure this out later. "My name is Ignis. We'd previously met here so it's appears that we've come full circle."
no subject
"It's weird. I saw her run off the platform through the barrier, but...I'd remember something like that, wouldn't I? Seeing my older self somewhere?" It makes her think it's some kind of weird spell, or a very strange dream. But it's gone on for far too long to be a dream. Right?
"It's a pleasure to meet you again, Ignis," Evie says with a smile, tilting her head some as she looks at the salmon. "I'm assuming you made this?"

The Barrier - i'm chill with Harry showing up d:
"We haven't been able to get through the wall yet, nor have we been able to make contact with a conductor of any kind either, if that's what you were hoping for. The closest we've gotten was the train asking what would make us happy and asking for us to vote."
i shall let the player know!
"What all has been tried to get through, so that I don't do something someone else already has? And what were the results, if any at all?" Spoken like a true scientist.
no subject
"I imagine the first attempts were trying to find anything to take the wall apart, but I would not know. Tony used his suit and tried to fight his way through with his repulsor beams. That reflected back from the wall." And hit Renee. "Renee attempted to punch the wall - she has some sort of power that allows her to concentrate the energy of the punch and focus it. She broke her wrist and the power reversed and knocked her back across the cabin." She hit the reverse wall of the cabin pretty hard.
"I haven't tried to shoot the wall or do anything more aside from that because of the results they had. No point in embedding one of my bullets inside myself." Or set herself on fire again. "If you're a magic user I would advise caution, and maybe make sure someone knows what you are doing and that the cabin is clear. We have someone on board who has healing magics, and we have a medical cabin if something goes wrong." Usually interacting with this wall with some kind of force ends up going wrong.
no subject
Instead, Evie listens, nodding politely on occasion and turning to look at the wall some more. Studying it carefully and even running a perfectly manicured hand over it to search for any sign that anything anyone did left a scratch. But there was nothing, and that made Evie uncomfortable.
"So, no dice from anyone that tried." Goblin refuse.
She's not the swearing type, but from the way her face contorts in frustration, there might be a rude word or two on her tongue that would make Harry laugh if she let a single one of them out.
But she won't, because princesses don't swear.
Turning her attention to the book in hand, she shakes her head.
"No. I'm not much of a magic user. It's something I know, sure, but I lean more towards potions. Spells aren't as easy for me, and this is my best friends book. It's almost nothing but spells, and the potions inside are dangerous." Sh shrugs one shoulder, holding the book in both hands as she studies it's purple and green cover.
"Her mother wrote it. She was a terrible being, so everything in here is meant to deceive or hurt or worse. I won't be trying anything in here unless I know it won't hurt anyone and I don't really trust anything inside this book."

On Board
People she, more or less, likes.
Because that's her luck.
Re: On Board
How popular was other her on this train? It was getting to Evie, it really was, but she was still going to react with kindness and a heartfelt apology.
Oh. Except. This is a child. This is a child no older than Dizzy and Celia and that ensures Evie chooses her approach carefully.
"I'm Evie, but I don't think I'm the Evie you knew before. She left. I saw her leave through the ticket turnstile. And now I'm here. I'm so sorry, but I don't remember you."
no subject
She's punished for it. Of course.
"I'm Ple Two. It seems like you're still in the same room." So she'll just get to know her again. No big deal.

Game car, and of course Harry is welcome.
Re: Game car, and of course Harry is welcome.
It’s not a visible upset. She’s keeping that to herself. But when Khary enters the carriage, she eyes him with concern and a it of trepidation.
“I have a couple friends back home who tried to teach me how to play that, but I never really figured it out.”
That’s her testing the waters. Seeing if he recognizes her even if she has no clue who he is.

platform
But when Madoka quickly scrambles to get to the platform, there's..
.. Evie? Huh?
It's confusing for sure, but Madoka is more worried about the other than anything else. So rather than asking what happened to clear up her own confusion, she instead hurries over to the girl, clear concern to her face, the tone of her voice almost desperate. "Evie..! Are you alright?"
Re: platform
So she turns towards the voice and spots a girl she's sure Dizzy would adore. Her hair was the most perfect shade of pink. They looked roughly the same age. Evie loves her already, which makes what she has to say very difficult.
"Hello. I'm fine." Oh, this is rough. She's going to say this as kindly and as patiently as possible, her softest smile on her face. There was no point in showing this kid how much she was hurting for not remembering anyone "I'm going to ask you a question, and I hope it doesn't upset you, but you see. I'm in a bit of a situation."
How to explain this? It's not going to be easy at all. "I think you knew a different Evie. Younger. Bluer hair. She left. I saw her head out the turnstile and then I found myself here. And I don't remember this train. So I was wondering if you could help me out and tell me your name, precious girl? You seem to be friends with other me, and I was hoping we could be the same?"
no subject
.. Except doing her best might not help much in this case. As the other speaks on, Madoka starts looking surprised, and then just.. downright baffled. Evie doesn't remember? It's true that she looked slightly different only moments ago, but if that Evie left and this one appeared.. Is it a different Evie? It can't just be some random other girl with the same name though, they really still look a lot alike!
It's confusing, but at the same time also definitely kind of upsetting that the other girl doesn't even know as much as her name. No matter how hard she tries, Madoka can't stop her expression from falling as the thoughts race across her mind.
"Ah.. I-I see.."
Yeah, the disappointment is evident in her voice. She does immediately try to smile after, but it's weak and forced.
"Um.. I'm Madoka! Madoka Kaname, nice to meet you.. or.. meet you again." How does this even work? "Of course I'd love to be friends again."
On Board, and if Harry wants to show, please feel free! Especially since pretty girl = flirty Kaito
The lanky teenager hanging upside down on the couch (which makes his messy hair look even worse) grins at her with a lazy wave. He has a pack of cards in his hands that he's shuffling in elaborate styles, and he catches one - the ace of hearts - to flash in her direction before going back to shuffling.
"Are you new like me?"
Re: On Board, and if Harry wants to show, please feel free! Especially since pretty girl = flirty Ka
His question gets a small, amused sounding 'hah' escaping before she shrugs.
"I don't know how to answer that. I was here before, but this is the first time I remember being on this train. There are several people here who knew the previous me, but I don't know who any of them are. I think I upset a lot of people by not knowing them."
no subject
He twists around to sit properly.
"Hm. I can see how that would be odd. I suppose there could be memory loss involved - although considering how weird this place is, I would't go pass 'another version' of you either. Is that what's bothering you?"
