Now that the fridge was cold, and he had all the kits, Ichigo could get started. He put out a notice for all the people who had agreed to donate, and was ready to go. He was going to use the middle two recovery rooms, since 1 and 4 were in the process of being painted. He had plenty of gloves so he could keep everything sterile, and even had stocked up on water and some snacks.

Senku didn't waste much time after he got the message, since he'd volunteered to give his blood it wasn't a problem. How helpful it would be was another issue, considering his blood type was much better for receiving than giving.

He knocked lightly. "Hey." He greeted. "I have AB blood type, if you still want that."

"Well, hop up on the bed. Do you have a preferred arm for me to pull from?" Opening the door to 2, Ichigo ushered Senku inside. "And can you spell your name our for me to put on the bag?"

"Not really." Senku answered and hopped up on the bed easily enough, holding out his left arm.

"Ah, characters or roman letters? Doesn't matter. Just go with Senku. S-E-N-K-U. Easy enough."

Ichigo wrote Senku's name and blood type on the bag. "Alright, just gonna check your blood pressure first." He got the cuff and checked that before sanitizing the other's arm. "Want anything to squeeze? Or are you good to flex a fist for twenty minutes?"

Grimmjow was not there to donate blood, he thought the whole thing was kind of creepy if he was honest. He was there to be a general nuisance, perching himself on any unoccupied spaces, glowering boredly at Ichigo. "When did you get so fuckin' weird? If you want somebody's blood, just cut 'em."

"This is for when people get hurt on missions and have lost a lot of blood. Even a little blood can mean the difference between life and death for someone." Rolling his eyes as he moved between rooms, Ichigo checked to make sure his gloves were still clean. No sense wasting a limited supply.

Grimmjow slid off the counter he'd been perched on, following Ichigo into the other room. "So you're gonna what, just store it all in a big bowl or somethin'? Never thought you would remind me of Szayel," he looked like he'd just bitten into a lemon.

Rolling his eyes, Ichigo smiled at his next patient and got them started on their donation. "No. I store it in sterile bags that can be used to give it back to them when they need it, and the bags go in the red and black fridge in room 2."

Nita had promised - moreso, she'd also promised to help with blood analysis. As such, she came by early in the morning, thankful she'd managed to sleep well.

"The more relaxed I am, the quicker this goes, right?" Nita hazarded. She still looked just a little uncertain, but she wasn't going to back out now!

Reaching for the blood pressure cuff, Ichigo smiled warmly. "If the sight of the needle makes you uneasy, I can cover your arm once I know it's positioned right."

"It's not that I'm worried about," Nita assured, much as she didn't feel assured.

"I just need a good distraction during the extraction."

/I can certainly manage that,/ the peridexis whispered, and Nita did her best to keep her answering smile internal.

"I take it I'd better sit down now?"

And let the prepping commence and such.

With a nod, Ichigo gestured to the bed. "Go ahead and get comfy. I'll be checking your blood pressure, then getting you set up. Do you have a preferred arm you want me to draw from?"

"Hello mister Ichigo!"

Romeo waved at him as he skipped to the medical carriages, he didn't look worried at all. He's not worried because Ichigo had told him how he went to school to be a doctor and already had a certificate to take peoples blood.

"Romeo-kun, hey there." Waving back, Ichigo checked both his rooms. "I hope you don't mind waiting a few minutes for your donation, I have both the beds full at the moment. Since Glorfindel-san and Rapunzel-san are painting the other two."

"I don't mind sir!"

They were painting the rooms? Romeo waited in the corridor like he had been asked though he did peek into the other rooms, wondering why they were painting.

After a few minutes, Ichigo called for Romeo. "Alright, it's your turn. Come on in." Room two had opened up, so he invited the young man inside. "Hop up on the bed and get comfortable on your back, please."

"Here to get it over with."

And he was. Kaiba wasn't afraid of pain, but vulnerability was a slightly different matter. He'd dressed in his orange uniform for this, and his mouth was pressed into a thin line as he inspected the equipment from a distance.

"A-positive, though you'll be able to double check."

Since he'd just had one of the beds open up, Ichigo gestured Kaiba into the room. "Go ahead and sit back, I'll start with your blood pressure. Do you have any needle aversions I should know about?"

"Not needles specifically, but trusting when I put myself in a vulnerable position."

Still, he sits and does his best to relax, offering his arm.

"But I realize the chances anything will go wrong are statistically insignificant, and if there somehow is an issue I'll just fight my way out of a suitcase tomorrow."

His attempt at a dry joke.

Chie was too late an arrival to catch Ichigo's original post, but she did happen to pass through the medical car mid-morning, and she couldn't help overhearing people talking. It didn't take her long to figure out what was going on, and it didn't take her long to decide that she wanted to help out too.

"Hi!" she said, approaching Ichigo when he didn't seem busy. "Doing a blood drive, huh? You got room for one more?"

Looking at the newcomer, Ichigo smiled warmly. "I am and I do. I've got a bed about to open up, as a matter of fact." He had someone he was on the way to disconnect from their donation bag and then they just needed their snack. "Shouldn't be more than five minutes if you don't mind waiting."

"Don't mind at all!" Chie chimed, leaning against a handy wall. "It's cool that you guys are getting important stuff like this organized." She paused, then added in a slightly less cheerful tone, "Do the train missions get that bad?"

As promised, Lea turned up, glancing around the area that seemed to have been set aside for the purposes of the donations. He didn't usually have much need to look around the medical carriage, so this was his first time really paying attention to a lot of what it contained.

Having just finished up two people, Ichigo had the rooms free. He took the time to wipe down the beds before stepping into the hall. "Here to donate? I'm Ichigo, and you are?"

"Yep," Lea said. "The name's Lea. Not sure what blood type I am, so you'll have to test it or something to find out, but I figured I'd contribute." Upon testing, it would be discovered that he was B-positive, though he didn't know that yet.

"So, what do I need to do? I've never really done this before, so..." He shrugged slightly.
