Daia, being unusually bored, has gotten an idea in his head and wants to have some fun with everyone he can find. He leaves Rene in his room and grabs his pillow, then starts running down the hall. If you're in his path, he'll swing out to bonk you with his pillow.

"Pillow war in the Gym! Spread the word!"

And he giggles as he continues running, heading toward the Gym himself. He'll gather any spare pillows he can find and toss them in a pile, too. For anyone who needs a 'weapon'.

"Really." Senku answered with a bit of a groan. "I'm not that tired." He complained. "There's nothing I can do about this. It's just how I am."

"Maybe, but I'm not the kind of person who'll kick an honorable opponent when he's down." Trunks pointed out in turn.

Senku put his hands on his hips. He looked frustrated. "I'm not down, I'm standing right here." He argued, a frown pulling at his lips a little bit.

"I'm totally fine, you know."

"Alright. I was trying to be diplomatic." Trunks sighed, crossing his arms and still holding onto both pillows. "You're not a challenge, even for fun."

He crossed his arms, shifting his stance a little bit, lips pressed together for a moment.

"I know that."

Trunks sighed and tossed Senku a pillow. "Which means it's not fun to fight you anymore."

Senku had a very neutral expression on his face as he caught the pillow and tucked it under his arm. "Yeah. I got it."

He turned around and headed out of the gym.

"What, so you're going to give up just like that?" Trunks was annoyed, partially at himself now too. "Your ambush was pretty smart. Try using tactics like that more." But he wouldn't stop Senku from leaving.

He stopped walking, because Trunks did tap into his compulsion not to give up and he turned back to look at him, hands going into his pockets, the pillow balanced in place.

"An ambush only works at the start of any battle. It's a brilliant strategy, and definitely one of my favourites." Senku responded. "And yeah. I can't go toe to toe with you." He shrugged.

"It's a fact. You told me that isn't fun for you. This is just..." He glanced around briefly. "Playing. I don't really play anyway. I can't suddenly offer you a challenge, so yes, shouldn't I give up?"

He was irritated at himself, disappointed really, but his tone and expression were still neutral, if not with a sarcastic drawl. Play, as he understood it, didn't work if someone wasn't enjoying it.

"Who said you have to play just with me?" Trunks tilted his head, then let his eyes roam over the others in the gym. "And I'm sure you're smart enough to find other ways to use what strengths you do have. Even if you can't go toe-to-toe with me."

"It is statistically unlikely that I will be able to keep up with anyone." Senku responded with a bit of a shrug. "I'm the guy who sits around and plans battles, not the guy with the sword."

"It is impossible for me to win on my own, I'm aware of that." He was aware of that, but he'd wanted to try anyway. He'd enjoyed it, fleeting fun that that was.

"It's possible other people will be..." He pressed his lips together, looking at Trunks as he considered what his expression could mean. "Equally annoyed with me." He wasn't confident, exactly, that that was how Trunks felt. Close enough, he figured.

Trunks raised an eyebrow. "I'm annoyed at you giving up so easily, even if I understand it. But only a bit. And you plan battles? Great. Try teaming up with some others and plan strategy that way."

"Wouldn't it annoy you more if I didn't?" Senku responded.

He hummed. "Yeah. The kind of battles to minimize the number of casualties, preferably to zero. That's not to say I don't go, I do, but I'm typically support."

He glanced away at the suggestion and shrugged lightly.

"You were giving up entirely, or so it seemed." Trunks clarified, or so he hoped. "Support is important, and a good strategist and tactician can be invaluable. My mom isn't physically a fighter the way a lot of her friends, or my father, were. She's the 'support'--but so many battles would've been lost without her."

"I was." He confirmed.

"Yeah, but that's not much help in something like this because I can't fall back on some kind of skill."

"Says who? You could team up with someone to take on a better opponent. You could make a fort and figure out how to defend it." Trunks shrugged. "If you're really not having fun, then you don't have to stay. I just...I didn't mean to make you give up entirely." And there was that annoyance at himself too.

Senku sighed, and glanced away briefly, shifting his weight from foot to foot slightly.

"I'm frustrated. I was having fun, yeah, but I'm frustrated." He murmured like he wasn't used to addressing how he felt, no matter how minor that feeling was.

"And I probably should've just stuck to what I know."

Trunks sighed a himself, and raked a hand through his bangs. "I'm sorry I added to your frustration." Because he was sure he did. "Even if it was getting a bit too one-sided, I started out enjoying it."

Senku shrugged and offered a kind of grunt in response. "Not your fault." It was how things were, after all.

"Sure." He glanced away, he found himself unsure what to say. "I'm still going to bed." He decided. "See you later."

"Sleep well. I'll see you around, Senku." Trunks still felt slightly guilty.
