Who: Inigo, Tidus (aka the two shared braincells duo) and you!
Where: The standard coach
When: Horseshoe 17
What: Inigo and Tidus are handing out free stuff because Tidus is the train's official sugar daddy.
Warnings: Probably nothing, will edit if necessary.
---
Hey guys, forget about that public breakdown the other day. Today Inigo is on the ICP with a big smile, seeming as cheerful as ever. It's fine. It's cool.
"Good day, everyone! Tidus and I brought some things back with us from Irivar to share with everyone. So why not come over to the standard coach and see if there's anything you'd like to take with you, hm? We have quite the selection! Oh, and.. erm, Taiki, Roland, Bryn and Della.. If you could make sure to come see us, we'd appreciate it! Otherwise I might have to send Ti--"
Before Inigo can even finish the sentence, there's an offscreen obviously very Tidus-y voice calling out, "Inigo! Ask for Sakura too!"
Inigo huffs, turning his gaze to the off screen source. "I was getting to that!" (No he wasn't.) Apparently he accidentally pulled his ticket off the ICP as he starts moving away from it too, because the feed just cuts out. Just come get some sweet stuff.
---
Their set-up in the standard car is a simple, if messy, one. They have a few of their offered freebies on the same table they occupy, each guy facing the other, sat by the wall. From the immediate front, fragrant bags sit no bigger than a palm, a variety of scents better to tell when held to the nose. Whetstones sit stacked mostly on top of one another, and then a cluster of hair ribbons and circular hair ties behind them. Behind the bags are a few scent oils--basically, perfumes, if not very big. There's a few to choose from, but...
...not as many as there are the soaps, which take up a half of the table in their choice. It's like a lush shop here of choice, different colours and sizes.
And Inigo and Tidus? Sit there, either playing cards or fiddling through the paper craft book available from the art supplies where the old library used to be.
A chalkboard sits balanced, with the words 'FREE 2 TAKE' written in big letters. In case you missed the public announcement.
1:
Come up, and have a look. Ask about what they've got.
2:
Or while you're here, maybe you can help Tidus, who pipes up to ask-
"Hey, quick question. How long 'til you're comfortable hugging someone?"
(ooc: as a note, all threads on this will be threeways! please enjoy trying to handle both teens at once. you can't seperate them.)

He chances a look up at Taiki, head in a slight tilt as he tries to imagine it. This was something they spoke of before - Roland and Gyousou, as Tidus and Inigo dragged Taiki off to berry pick on their own - but now he's returned to the idea of imagining the kirin like the kingmaker of his experiences in the other world. Magical beasts that served as both guardian and proof of rule, with the power of armies to repel foes. Taiki, gentle Taiki who held his hand in the luggage car at the time of Roland's deep sadness...
Roland chances a casual question, hopes it doesn't offend Taiki.
"I'm glad to hear that. Is your horn invisible to mortal eyes, or to men who aren't Gyousou? Or does it only come out when you transform?" Into what, I wonder? Though Roland will leave that implied, for now.
no subject
"It feels strange if people touch it, but when I transform it is a horn and it feels like... My whole self is focused at the base of it."
It's a strange feeling to explain.
no subject
"Like your essence is channeled through the horn, you mean? Or, something to that extent." As soon as Roland says this, he figures out immediately what else to paint. Though it makes for a mess, he hopes Taiki won't mind if he carefully applies one solid block color - blue - unto one of his palms.
no subject
He leans forward, interested.
no subject
He glances up at Taiki. "Something I remember from when I was a kid. Wanna try?"
no subject
"I remember doing this as a child as well."
Before he had went to his own world, when he was very small.
no subject
"Great. Let's layer them together with another color after." He lifts his palm up and there it is, an imprint of a hand, five fingers and palm, made eternal on paper and blue paint. But a flash of realization comes across him then, suddenly conscious as he faces Taiki again.
"Err. I'm not wasting your paint, am I?"
no subject
And if anyone would be happy to see Roland handprint painting it would be Tidus. So Taiki doesn't feel bad about this at all.
no subject
He moves on to a second color, but pauses again. "Say, what's your favorite?" Among the bunch, which he gestures to with a blue hand.
no subject
It was not a good thing that there were children here, but they could only do their best to help them, keep them safe and give them happiness.
"I like purple, but there are no colours I dislike."
no subject
"Good choice. Purple's one of my favorites too." A chuckle. "Not because of the train or anything." So takes the red paint and asks for Taiki's other hand; one that wasn't stained with paint already. "May I? I promise it's not a prank."
What was he going to do?
no subject
He was curious as well, Roland clearly had a plan and it was fun to paint like this, much more free than trying to capture images with a brush.
no subject
And just like that, when he lifts Taiki's hand off, the imprint it makes coalesces into purple. Two handprints, joined and intersecting to show three colors in harmony. Roland takes this carefully from the edges and holds it up for Taiki to see.
"Ta-da. What do you think?"
no subject
"It's beautiful." He smiled at him. Roland was not how he had thought of him, he seemed so serious and yet this, this small expression of artistry and joy. This was a whole other side of him.
And one that filled Taiki with joy.
no subject
He'll make sure of it from his end, at the very least.
Roland hands over the painting right-side up to Taiki, with a finger hovering close to the edge. "Gotta sign it. All artists sign their work before framing."
no subject
He nodded at Roland and dipped his smallest finger into the blue paint. It's a little difficult to write with his little finger but soon he has signed it in the corner. Taiki.
"You should sign your name too."
<3
"It really does look good, huh?" Roland holds it up as much as he can, trying not to stain the rest of the page with his hands. "Let's call it...An Ode to World-Hopping Friends, by two budding painters."
no subject
He smiled as he looked at it. "We should go and wash our hands while it dries, so we don't ruin it."
no subject
"Let's go, then. Maybe we can ask your friend over there to paint something next." He nudges playfully on the direction of the jerboa, who at least, has grown relatively used to Roland's presence.
no subject
He smiled over at Gyōkō and reached out to encourage the jerboa into his crate, at least whilst they went to wash their hands. He doesn't want the tiny creature to get into any danger.
"I think he could do a good footprint picture. But I'm not sure if paint would be harmful to him..."
no subject
Though if the paint was meant for kids...It would be non-toxic, right? Still, that doesn't mean animal friendly. Roland shrugs nonchalantly and offers the tiny creature a smile.
"Well, we'll find a way to integrate his footprint into our blossoming art career, Taiki. Do you think clay would be good? He could step on it while it's forming and we could bake it into a little medallion."
Where was the closest sink - right, a little ways back across the expanse of the train moving to the sleeper cabins. Roland leads the way out of courtesy.
no subject
He doesn't want to harm him, he's trying to be a responsible pet owner.
He smiled at the suggestion though. "We could try... He would probably like walking in clay."
It would probably be an interesting sensation for a little jerboa. Taiki followed Roland as he spoke.
no subject
Which is something Roland can only say now, all his experiences between worlds stacking up and developing into something actually meaningful. It tickled his fancy to know that if he could frame what they made, Taiki would be able to keep a memorabilia from their time together on the train. Whatever that meant, or however possible it was for kirins in the void and their eventual return trip home. One day.
They'll always have a nice handprint on paper to remember.
The trip to wash their hands is a short one, and he allows Taiki to come into the booth first, space a premium. So he stands outside, like a guard.
no subject
He was mostly successful, managing to rinse away any paint from the basin. He stepped outside when he was done, to make room for Roland.
