Bright and early, Ichigo came to the medical car. He had a large thermos of coffee, and Shiro had a cardboard box with some cat toys to keep him busy. He'd even managed to get some of his pens back from Grimmjow. Setting up a stack of file folders, he opened the door to the first exam room and got ready.

"Good morning! Here for your check up?"

"Not a problem. My Dad smokes now and then, and I know several med students who do as well." Grinning, Ichigo picked up the next empty file on the stack. "Do you prefer Jessica or Jessie?"

"Jessie is fine, Jessica is my real name." as the Zippo slips unto Jessie's pocket.

"Nice to meet you, Jessie-san. If you'll take a seat on the bed, I'm going to get your vitals first. Which arm do you want the cuff on?" He made a note of her name preference on the label for the file and opened it to the first page.

Eight held still, allowing Ichigo to let him listen. So far everything looked normal, except for the doctor to not really know about her physiology. Which was weird.

But if he was the primary physician on the train, it would be important for him to know. And, from what he could hear she sounds alright on that front.

"Either is fine and likewise." as Jessie settles in.

"Alright, no abnormal rhythms that I can hear." He reached for the blood pressure cuff and put it around her arm. "This might get tight, but it'll tell me what your blood pressure is."

"Oh... with that?" Eight looked at the device with some curiosity. "Well, I have body pressure, but I don't really have blood..."

She replied with a sound of mock-offense. "I would never," she said with a giggle. "Let's do my right arm."

"I'm back," Kaiba says reluctantly. That incident from a few days ago is still fresh on his mind, but he'll behave this time.

He sits on the exam table again, taking a shallow breath. Still healing, apparently.

Trunks isn't exactly there bright and early, but he does show up earlier rather than later. "I did say I'd be here." So here he is.

"My world doeshave some ghost diseases. One time one of my enemies got my entire class infected with a ghost bug. But that one didn't seem to like ghosts. Or half-ghosts."

A shrug.

"What's first?" He makes a face. "I've been kind of avoiding doctors since the accident."

With a nod, Ichigo used her left arm to check her blood pressure. "Looking good here, so next I'll listen to your lungs."

"Ah, that's a good point. You said that you're an...octoling? Did I say that right?"

[strawberryprotector]

Ichigo snorted in amusement as he put the cuff around her right arm. "Uh huh, I'm so sure about that." He was quiet as he did the reading, then took the cuff off when he was done. "As expected, your blood pressure is great."

The shallow breathing had Ichigo arch an eyebrow. "Did you get yourself hurt again, Kaiba-kun?"

"No, I'm just taking things slowly on the doctor's orders. Everything should be healed by now."

He stretched his arms and legs in front of him, blinking at him. "I'm...sorry I was difficult the other night. I was angry at myself for being ambushed so easily."

"Come on in." Ichigo looked up with a smile from his small desk, setting Shiro back down in his little play box. "You're not allergic to cats, are you?"

"Let's go for blood pressure. Got a preference for which arm I put the cuff on?"

Reaching out, Ichigo ruffled Kaiba's hair with a smile. "I've been there. It's hard to remember to be compassionate to yourself when something like that happens." He put the cuff around one of the younger man's arms. "Just relax for a bit while I do this and then I'll take a look at your injuries."

[blue_ice]

Kaiba made a strange noise in the back of his throat, leaning back at an almost comic angle.

"Don't do that....please," he added, after a moment of thought. Best not to upset the doctor again, given the stunt Kaiba pulled the other night.

He relaxed as best he could, silent as the blood pressure was taken. Once done, he peeled off his shirt and started on untying the bandages. The claw marks hadn't been deep at all, the bandages were just to prevent infection.

"Believe me, I don't want to make my being here a habit. You're busy enough as-is"

"Let me handle the bandages." Ichigo rested a hand on Kaiba's shoulder before taking over the changing of the bandages. "These are healing well. The lacerations are healing up nicely, though you may still scar."

[blue_ice]

"Right." He takes a breath and forces himself to relax, though that becomes a slightly bitter chuckle.

"I'm used to that, at least." Kaiba's back has a number of thin scars on it, though they're years old at this point. He reaches up to let Ichigo do his work, 'fixing' his hair all the while.

She grinned, but remained quiet as he took her blood pressure, not wanting to mess up the results.

As he removed the cuff, she giggled. "Good to know." Especially with all the stuff she's had to go through.

"Yes." Eight nodded. "I'm mostly made out of ink."

No sense of keeping that a secret: he's a doctor. He's going to find that out eventually.

"If I had a camera, I would take a picture of your back to document all these scars." Ichigo's voice was soft, and he was struggling to not get angry at whoever had inflicted the majority of them.
