Bright and early, Ichigo came to the medical car. He had a large thermos of coffee, and Shiro had a cardboard box with some cat toys to keep him busy. He'd even managed to get some of his pens back from Grimmjow. Setting up a stack of file folders, he opened the door to the first exam room and got ready.

"Good morning! Here for your check up?"

Trunks isn't exactly there bright and early, but he does show up earlier rather than later. "I did say I'd be here." So here he is.

"Come on in." Ichigo looked up with a smile from his small desk, setting Shiro back down in his little play box. "You're not allergic to cats, are you?"

Trunks' attention was taken up by the kitten for a moment, as he came in and crouched down. Holding out his hand towards Shiro, before looking up at Ichigo. "Nope. Not allergic to anything. I wanted to warn you, I'm only half-human. The other half is an alien-race from my world known as Saiyan. They're compatible with humans, obviously."

"Interesting. And do you know of any biological traits that you have that are strictly Saiyan?" Ichigo used the hand sanitizer in the room to clean his hands and got the file he'd started for Trunks during the blood drive out.

"Well, I lack the black spikey hair and monkey's tail a saiyan usually has." Trunks replied easily enough. "Never had either, as far as I know. As for Saiyan only? That's harder." Giving Shiro one more pet if the cat wanted, before he stood and came to take a seat nearby. "They were a warrior race, in some ways literally built for battle. Compared to a normal human they're baseline is super-human in terms of speed, strength, stamina, agility, and endurance. They're more resistant to injury, in terms of being both harder to injure and healing slightly faster. Their senses are also stronger compared to a human, and they have an easier time utilizing ki energy."

Ichigo took all of those notes and wrote them in Trunks' file. "Good to know. That ki energy, Piccolo-san uses that, too, right?" It sounded very similar to reiatsu.

"It is. Piccolo's from the same world as I am...sort of. Probably better to say the same universe, rather than world. It's a bit complicated because I've time-traveled."

The mention of time travel had Ichigo letting out a low whistle. "I've done a lot of things, but I've never time traveled. Unless you count spending a year's worth of time between worlds training a skill that made me powerless for a year and a half."

"Done that too, although without the powerless feeling for year and half." Trunks said with a hint of grin. A conspiratorial grin if anything, as it was something he could share with the other. "I've spent a year training in the room of space and time. One day outside is equivalent to one year inside. It's...not pleasant."

"You're not wrong. In my case, it wasn't even a day outside. Maybe a few hours? But it was very fate of the worlds, so what can you do other than to just do it?" Shrugging, Ichigo grinned at Trunks. "Shall we get started?"

"Too true." Trunks agreed, as what could you do when it was fate of the world? "What do you need? I don't actually think I've ever had a physical. Mom kind of did it all..."

"Well, I'll start with your blood pressure. Then I'll check your heart and lungs. Follow it up with height and weight, and making notes of whatever else you think might be relevant for your file."

y'kno, i"m not sure I have a source that's consistent for his height and weight?

"You're the doctor in training, so sure." Trunks agreed, waiting for further instructions, although he did know that his blood pressure would be taken probably via a cuff around his arm. Holding out his left one, to make it easier.

Putting the cuff on Trunks' arm, Ichigo took the young man's blood pressure. "Well, seems like the numbers are pretty standard for a human of your age and general health, even if you are only half human."

"That's reassuring." Trunks murmured. His state of 'general health' was extremely fit, if looking at his build was anything to go buy. Definitely athletic. "Do you want me to sit, or stand, while you check my lungs and heart?"

"Just sit up straight and breathe normally." Ichigo rubbed the bell of the stethoscope over his palm to warm it up before sticking his hand up the back of Trunks' shirt.

Trunks was in the train uniform, and while he would've appreciated some warning....oh well. As it is, he tried to not feel awkward, and to remember to just breathe normally. "Please warn me next time, Ichigo?"

"Ah, sorry about that." Ichigo smiled a little at Trunks, but nodded at the request. "I'll be sure to remember to warn you in the future."

"It's really okay, no need for a sorry." Trunks's lungs and heart all sounded healthy and in good shape. "What made you want to be a doctor?"

"Everything sounds good here." Ichigo commented, pulling the stethoscope away from Trunks' skin. "My Dad is a doctor, and he runs a clinic that's attached to our house. He opened it up before I was born, and I've just always wanted to be able to help people the way that he does. Do you have any career plans for your future?"

[light_of_willpower]

Oh that was a tricky question. "I...honestly, just want to have a future where everyone is at peace and not just surviving, but doing well." Reaching up, Trunks brushed his bangs out of his eyes. "My world has been under seige by two homicidal androids since I was about 6 months old or so. No one can really stop or stand up to them, except me now. My master, Gohan...died when I was 14. He did his best to stop them too."

"Damn, that sounds like hell." Ichigo said softly, making a few quick notes in Trunks' file. "Over to the scale, shoes off. Please." More and more he was finding people who's lives made his sound downright easy.

Trunks undid his boots and slipped them off, padding over to the scale. "I'm...not actually from my world at the moment. The train pulled me from the same world, but a different timeline, and the past. I'm trying to help prevent mine from coming."

"I hope you can manage it. That kind of a future sounds pretty awful to be facing." Ichigo followed Trunks to the scale and lifted the arm that would measure his height. "Just stand up straight and hold still for a few seconds."

"It...won't help my time-line, but if I can get stronger, I can beat them. I know I can." Murmured almost to himself, a bit sadly, but with a lot of determination as Trunks did what Ichigo asked.

"I went back before, and warned them. At least they were better prepared than we were, and Goku is still alive..."
