it's halloween, lo-ween, everybody!
Who: Everyone's Invited!
Where: Various decorated carriages!
When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!
Warnings: N/A, will update it needed.
The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…
… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.
“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”
Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”
Tasty Treats
A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.
There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.
Haunted House
Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –
#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!
#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!
#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!
#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\
#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.
Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!
Dance Floor
If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.
Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !
Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!
Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/
Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?
Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!
Also, if your character would like to dress up, costumes are available for this night only!

"That's the problem, Xue Yang. I do like you. That's why I wanted to tell you the story. It's a fable, but...." Hearing his confession and telling him his worries and hearing his response, can he feel safe with him?
"Do you mean it? Can I believe you?"
no subject
He feels even more energized by hearing Xingchen say that he likes him. He doesn't care that it is just the like of friends like in Yi City. That is all he could ask for and can be content with. He just doesn't want the man to be afraid of him or want to draw away.
no subject
He's content with his answer. "Then that's fine. If you meant it, then from now on, I'll believe you."
no subject
no subject
He's not sure if he's deserved to be seen worthy as a light. "I'll give it a try." He said. But a part of him is hopeful. While the road is maybe bumpy, maybe there is joy and happiness at the end of the road. "I can't be the source of your happiness sometimes. I won't be able to make you happy. My heart is weak."
Suddenly he feels tired, tired of fighting. He sees darkness everywhere within him, so it's better to accept it. So searching for him, he's going to wrap his arms around the man for a hug and seek his chest to lay his head-on.
"I suppose where you are, where it's dark. It's not so bad. As long as you want me there and be gentle with me, then I'll stay with you."
no subject
"I don't see you as weak, daozhang." And if he is weak it is because Xue Yang made him that way..and he will have to be the one to help Xingchen become strong again.
"But you already made me happy and the light is getting brighter on the path." His body is stiff, unsure how to handle being held in such a way when he hadn't been expecting it and when he is so uncertain what might scare the man away.
no subject
"I'll try...I'll try, A-Yang. I just don't want to be hurt by you again, and I don't want to feel like I'm nothing to you and be easily discarded." The light came back, but a mere flicker. Slow and gradual.
"I do like you back then, but then I think we'll part ways someday and I'll continue helping people. So I simply don't think about it."
no subject
Xue Yang doesn't know what this means for them but he will say anything he has to to try and make Xingchen feel better and start to heal.
no subject
"Forgive me, I troubled you enough." He placed a hand on his chest and very slowly he disengaged from him. He has feelings where he shouldn't and he tries to restrain himself, though with difficulty. His blindfold is becoming a pair of red because he loss the ability to cry real tears. He felt himself slipping away and less of himself as he's only been alive for a month.
Turning away to hide his eyes, very quietly, "You should go to the party. Maybe the children will be gone by now."
no subject
He doesn't want the man to retreat and become worse but he also doesn't want to make the man uncomfortable by making him stay. Slowly his fingers uncurl from around his wrist.
no subject
He wasn't upset. Stressed maybe. To retreat is always fleeting and on his mind. So he was startled when his wrist was grabbed...only he lets him go.
"I think you do also."
no subject
Which is still a mystery to him. He doesn't know what it will take but he is willing to do anything. But he also doesn't want to force himself on Xingchen and so he withdraws his hand so that the man can leave if he wants to.
no subject
A pause, a beat. "I am trying to live my life for A-Qing for now. I live for her." Which sounds fair. However, he heard his desperation to do anything. To search for meaning and purpose. "If you want to make up to me, you..." Actually, he doesn't quite know. He has to give him a purpose.
"Just try to understand me and do your best. I think that's all you could do."
no subject
"You can tell me anything..how you feel, what you are thinking, what you need...I'll listen and do anything."
no subject
Becoming weary, "But if you need me to tell you anything. I like you better if you cultivate good behavior." It's a stepping stone, but it's a start.
no subject
no subject
"I think, personally. I want you to be kind to me."
no subject
He pushes himself up and out of the chair, "I'm trying daozhang.." and then after a beat, "Do you need any help back to your room?"
no subject
He reaches out his hand. "You can join me if you like. You used to cook for me, I remember."
no subject
Xingchen is slightly taller then him and he turns his eyes up to look at that white bandage where his eyes would be. He wished he could look at him, but even this is his fault.
no subject
He felt his hesitation, but he holds his hand as they walk together through the carriage of the train back to the car where the party was being held. There's plenty of food left over.
no subject
"I leave the cooking to the other team members. There are plenty to do it."
no subject
He can hear music in the party and people talking in the background. "Are we here? Do they serve anything at the food table?"
no subject
no subject
If Xue Yang takes a little look closer, there maybe pizzas, pastas, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs down the table besides the sweets. The ideal meal of choice for kids, but the right foods to give them a lot of energy.
"Can you see there's tea also? Maybe coffee?" Well, there's soda everywhere, but there should be his preferred drink closeby.
