it's halloween, lo-ween, everybody!

Who: Everyone's Invited!
Where: Various decorated carriages!
When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!

The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…

… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.

“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”

Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”

Tasty Treats

A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.

There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.

Haunted House

Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –

#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!

#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!

#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!

#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\

#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.

Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!

Dance Floor

If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.

Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !

Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!

Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?

Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!

Horror Car

Tidus' yelp was a bit amusing to him, which led to him snickering. Senku wasn't terribly easy to scare, unfortunately, especially when he was marveling over the holograms. He happens to have a costume, kind of, a pair of fox ears and a fluffy fox tail. His hair was tied back so the ears were visible, with a thick rope.

At the question he snorted. "No." Senku chuckled. "Because I'm my own doctor."

Hah, like he's scared for long by tricks!! Tidus gets caught up in the spooks, but he's animated, lively after each one. Punching a fist through a projection of the latest doctor lady with an oversized syringe. Yeah!! Showed you!!!!!!

But to Senku- "Is that just another way of saying you can't be bothered to get a check-up? 'Cause same!"

Heheh!

He chuckled lightly at that, at least Tidus seems brave if he's just going to fight the projections. Fortunately they aren't real or Senku might be scared.

"Well that, sure, but I'm actually the doctor in my world." Senku grinned and shrugged. "I have a lot of jobs, what can I say?"

He turns around to face Senku, hands on his hips.

"Oh yeah? You the dentist too? How many people are you with anyway? Like a small community?"

"I have absolutely no faith in any dentistry skills, so I hope not." Senku snorted. "Unless you want me to pull teeth, that I could manage."

He hummed a bit. "We're up to a hundred and fifty or so."

Tidus puts his hands to his face, tilting his head away and humming low. Like mmmm, maybe not?

But with the goofiness done. "Not bad! You're not the only doctor, are you? That's a lot of people for one guy."

He snickered a little bit at the reaction, ah well, it wasn't pleasant was it?

"Yeah, and I'm only the doctor kind of as a default? I know what I'm doing, but I didn't go to medical school or anything. I wasn't old enough." Senku pointed out. "I did several medical based student internships though."

[blitzcheer]

"Guess teaching anyone anything is slow going where you are." And their circumstances. "But hey, beggars can't be choosers, right? Your world doesn't sound like the kind of place that has time to care about qualifications. Having you around's lucky enough for everyone!"

Better than having no healer at all!

"Pretty much, I'm probably not the best kind of person in that role, I'm not really warm to people." He mentioned that as though people couldn't imagine what kind of doctor he'd be.

"It's fine enough. Keeping people alive seems part of the whole being in charge thing anyway. I don't actually mind too much, I work a lot, so it's kind of fun."

"What's it like being stuck in this place then? You got your projects, but we're not really bursting with them."

It's a downgrade, in that sense.

"It's boring. I didn't know I could get bored, but ah, I'm trying not to complain about it. It doesn't accomplish anything." Senku remarked, based on another conversation he'd had, which had reminded him to stop with that.

"I'm used to getting up in the morning and working most of the time until I go to bed. This is a lot of idle time."

[blitzcheer]

"Don't suppose you could make a radio that that reaches outside channels, could you? That's all I'm interested in," he admits helplessly. "Or finding a way to get my clock to work...!"

All items completely beyond him, and he mentions them half-heartedly, not really serious.

"Anything else is just weapons or shields, once missions come around."

"I could make a radio that made my own channels, but I don't know what I could pick up. I'm not sure the train's not blocking outside frequencies, actually." Senku mused. "What's wrong with your clock? If it's about the timing, I honestly don't know how it is working exactly. I'm not sure we aren't missing time through mandatory sleep or something."

Something about the time bothered him, but he couldn't pinpoint what.

"I can make those too, to some extent, but I don't have a forge to work with metal."

"Well..." Does he want to say it? He wonders, then decides, idle tone and all, "I've just been wondering how difficult it'd be to reach other people if we wanted to. The ministry sent a message out that one time."

You know. Just been thinking about that.

"But the clock? Actually... every time we wake up, it's a different colour." Uh- "It runs on colours. About... every hour shows a new one. I can show you sometime if you want. I can't do anything with it."

So Senku can do whatever he wants with it. It's nothing but a waste (of time!) for him.

"I mean, it must be possible, but I suspect if I do set up some kind of radio, I might not be able to find the frequency." Senku mused. "But trying that couldn't hurt."

"Yeah, show it to me sometime." Senku agreed with a nod. "I'll see if I can figure it out, but I'm not sure. I'd guess we are missing time somewhere, that's my guess."

"Whatever you need for either of them, lemme know? I guess I could buy a radio," he figures, "but I don't know anything about them. Do I ask for 'void frequency...ing... radio box?"

Yeah, uh.

"That's a really good question, I wonder if the void frequencies are like the frequencies I have at home or if they're completely different. It might be worth it to get a void radio anyway, whatever that is. That seems like the kind of thing to ask for. It can't hurt to see if anything gets picked up." Senku said thoughtfully, already brainstorming possibilities. If they could pick up something, that meant they could transmit something, he was pretty sure of it.

"Okay then!" Hey, he's willing to give it a go. "I'll ask Rolo or someone for how to word it. And then you can do whatever you want with it. If you can get through to someone out there... well, we're not hurting anyone, right? We just want to know what's out there!"

They're just a crew of innocent kidnapped individuals who absolutely don't want to get the ride they're on in trouble with the space police. Or see what happens.

"He might have some ideas, yeah. I don't think there's any harm since a radio just picks things up. It's after you modify it that it does more." Senku looked like he was itching to modify something.

Being in trouble with the space police sounds like a future problem.

"So if I get a radio," he says, all those projections and the spooky mist and wooOOoOOoOos going on around them all appropriately being ignored, "would you need anything else? To make it do more."

To definitely get in trouble with the space police.

It was a perfect place for a covert conversation, almost as good as the quiet rooms where they could whisper and be out of the way.

Senku hummed and shook his head. "No. I mean, yes, probably, but the modifications aren't too difficult to turn it into something that broadcasts. I've done it before." That was true, at least, he did know what he was doing in that regard.

"So- we could send a signal out?" That gets him to pause in his walking. "Put out a message, see if anything hits? What happened when you did that?"

This could end up going nowhere, but Tidus is intrigued, excited for the moment.

"Yeah." Senku answered. "That would be my plan if we could pick something up. I built this cell phone to get communications up but what we didn't count on, was picking up this signal from the moon. After I challenged it, whoever it is, changed the signal." He responded, thinking about it.

"Won't talk to me directly, but now he's trying to put us all back to stone again, that says something. It's an aggressive move, meaning that our suspicions that they may be an enemy may be correct."

That gets a small whistle from Tidus. "What's his problem? What do you even get out of doing that?" Putting people back into stone? Tidus tries to think, but...

"I wouldn't play friends with that guy, whatever his intentions."

"No idea." Senku answered with a shake of his head. "I'm not good at discerning motivations, but the Mentalist is. He'd tell me if he thought of something." He commented.

"I'm not that inclined to be friendly, but we have to try at least, I guess. Just in case he's not hostile, but considering his second response was to try and repetrify the planet...yeah I'm not too hopeful at the moment that he's not an enemy."
