When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!

The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…

… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.

“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”

Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”

Tasty Treats

A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.

There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.

Haunted House

Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –

#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!

#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!

#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!

#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\

#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.

Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!

Dance Floor

If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.

Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !

Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!

Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?

Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!

Also, if your character would like to dress up, costumes are available for this night only!

"I'm not familiar with the holiday myself, so it must not exist in my world." Natsuno murmured. It did, but it was outside of his experience.

"I'm not familiar with Della, but I suppose it seems alright."

"White feathers, duck-shaped. You can't miss her," he shares, since, you know - she's the only duck on the train.

"But it doesn't matter if you know it. You wanna put on some goofy clothes too? Or you can just look around at everything everyone's set up. They turned the training gym into a 'haunted house'. It looks like a whole new carriage inside!"

"I don't think I would dress up, but perhaps I'll look at the haunted house." Natsuno responded after thinking it over for a moment.

"I have found that I don't mind scary movies, it might be interesting." He didn't think he was going to be scared, but then again the movies didn't scare him either.

"How about the haunted house then, then a movie? We can go together! Unless you got someone else you'd want to go through with."

Speak now or forever hold your peace, or something like that!

"No, no one like that. I had a friend but he doesn't seem to be around." Natsuno answered. He wondered whether or not Tohru would've liked this. Probably. He had always seemed to like everything.

"Can't really say where he's gone." Natsuno wasn't going to go looking, things were very strange between them. "Also that's fine."

"Oh? Maybe we'll find him in one of the other cars. This set-up doesn't make it easy to find anyone." With most of the lights dimmed. But Tidus's started to walk to get them out from the spooked-up library, the music car needed to cross before they're get to the training gym where the haunted house was put together.

"I'm sure he's just enjoying himself. I'm not really looking for him." Their relationship was too complicated at the moment.

"Let's see this haunted house."

The 'haunted house' is easy for them to find, an illusion on the eyes the second the door opens between carriages. A haunted house - literal, at least for the house - waits for them, European and straight out of Resident Evil awaiting for them. Noises of owls hooting can be heard.

Beside Natsuno, Tidus joins in with the 'woooos', laughing to himself.

"Oh man, this is a lot more than what I saw Kaiba doing!"

And it doesn't come straight after Tidus is done speaking, there's a sound like metal scraping against just as sharp metal from somewhere...not so distant?

The illusion work was incredibly amazing when it came down to it. The details, and the magic that probably went into it were far beyond his comprehension.

"Spooky." He commented, deadpan as ever as they approached the house.

"Just like in a scary movie."

What was that noise? --nah, nothing to be worried about. But Natsuno's delivery gets a small laugh out of Tidus.

"Your favourite kinds? We're more a 'spooky monsters coming to drag you into the sea' kind of culture, back home."

Lot less fancy houses of this kind.

"I watched a lot of vampire and creature kind of movies." Natsuno explained with a bit of a nod. "They're more accurate than you'd think."

That in itself, was interesting to him. He wasn't afraid to keep moving though, it was going to be hard to startle him.

"What's a vampirrrAAHH"

And there it comes, the jump scare of a caped figure vampiric figure, throwing out arms and showing teeth right in front of them.

--and also getting punched directly in its holographic face by Tidus without hesitation.

"--Huh?"

wait.

"Oh... haha--! It's one of the holograms!"

He laughs at realisation kicks in, slapping his hands together. "Good one!"

"That would be a vampire, at least the kind they show in movies." Natsuno answered with a bit of a nod.

He wouldn't wear a cape, thank you, out of principle.

"That?" He looks back, but--oh, it's gone. "Is the outfit mandatory?"

Come on, you have to wear the cape!!

"In the movies it seems to be, cape and all."

It would be hard to be an incognito vampire if he walked around in a cape. Also, it didn't have enough belts for his personal taste. ~~Like he's a Kingdom Hearts character~~

Natsuno do you approve of all these belts Tidus is currently wearing. Meanwhile, Tidus snorts.

"Guess you need to let people know what you are! Then, what's a real vampire like? I think I'm gonna be missing half the references going on here."

It wasn't a belt as a tie. An opportunity was missed. Clearly, belts were the height of fashion.

"Real vampires?" He asked with a bit of a nervous tone. He was usually so deadpan too. "They just dress normally. Easier to blend in without the cape."

Wow, welcome to Final Fantasy indeed, Natsuno.

"Oh? Hm, guess that makes sense." Tidus guesses, as best as someone who knows nothing about vampires can guess. But the word is familiar, and he's humming some. It's in the way his brow sits together, thoughtful.

"Vampires...what do they do again?"

Thank you for the warm welcome, only the best and most fashionable outfits.

"Vampires are the ones that typically bite your neck and suck out all of your blood if fiction is to be believed." Natsuno commented dryly. "Or reality, I suppose, but it's much less risky to the person if you bite their forearm, and a lot less intimate at that."

He paused. "A doctor told me that."
